@Multi Dimensional yeah true. The last thing you want is a new dentist who is less experienced grabbing your head to hold you still while they drill and stick needles inside your tooth during the root canal (not anaesthesia either) and miss the mark a few times. Then afterwards get mouth ulcers on your lips from the pressure of their tools and fingers pinching your lip to your teeth the whole time. Try to find a good one, they won't be inexpensive but bad dentists will eventually cost you a fortune replacing the damage. My ex was capable of good work but not patient and cut corners. I landed up with 4 implants and a huge bill. Dental schools are a good resource for affordable work because they are supervised by experienced dentists and have to take all the correct steps.

I like how this video includes real life dentist situation especially the matrix band adaptation 🤣 i’m still a student so the process of removing the caries usually takes me longer than this dentist so i always have to remind my patient that. So far, all my patients are being really patient and compliant towards the procedure and i’m really thankful for that ☺️

Germany here... Actually we have a quite good overall health care... However, with teeth I feel they do it extra short with fillings and doing only half a Job, charging extra (not covered by public healthcare), only that we come in a year to get the same treatment...

Same here in Brasil. Dentists love you if you want to do cosmetic procedures, but if you're there just for your health, job is never carefully done. Public healthcare is there only to remove your teeth when it's severely damaged (!!) You have to be screaming in pain to get this service.
Thus, we are simultaneously the country of rich people with very white and shiny teeth and the country of toothless people.

I'm having similar work done in about a week on a tooth with decay caused by an old fractured filling. Doc said Core and Crown needed, and perhaps a Root Canal. (premolar) this DDS does everything. A one-stop shop, lol. He did a great restoration on my husband's front teeth, a previous failed restoration. But I was hoping to not have to have a crown. Or RC. He said he won't know till he gets inside it. 😬 But these videos are putting me at ease.

The difference in effort is visible between the premolars. He did a fantastic job imitating natural anatomy. Btw did you lightcure per increment? Or just placed increments, and then filled all, and then one lightcure?

    • @loisemir29

Agreed, every increment. But I am afraid no sufficient approximal contact. At least the post op pic looks like no contact… 🙈 And all the waterless preparations: it hurts to watch. Burned collagen, more smear layers, less bonding effect 🙈🙈
