I would have continued to look. Gone up a little in price. She doesn't need to blow her money but she'd find a much better place for a little more. She'll put that much into it just to do any renovations.

Interesting that she chose the second one! I would have totally gone for the first. Not much work to do, KILLER lake view... LONG dock... and Vermont across the lake. Bigger, nicer bedrooms, etc. When she said she was simple... indeed! It seems like a ton of work though... the floors, the bathroom, the entire base of it (filling in with rocks), etc. And it was more expensive than the first place.
The views from the second house were better plus it had more sq ft.
