JayMel Chivers diamonds do not loose their worth, so actually you should invest in diamonds and loose diamonds at that. And actually purses certain brands hold their value also. Only people who do not come from money thi k that both of those things are a waste of money. When actually they can set you up financially if need be. But if you're not ignorant and for the most part new money you're not financing your cars and you don't have a mortgage. You should always pay off both of those things IG you have the means. If you don't double up on both payments each month and pay it off faster. It may be a hefty price to pay for a few years but it's better in the long run. If you get into a bind your house is paid for and you never have to worry about a place to live you can also borrow against it if need be. And you never have to worry about a car if it's paid off also. This is why black people need to take financial planning classes.

Gold is a great investment but not diamonds. 90% of diamonds aren't rare. Its a family that owns the biggest diamond mine in the world who chooses how many diamonds they flood the market with. That's why if you go sell your diamond ring that's in a gold setting they will most likely give you more for the gold than the diamond. Most rappers if not all know diamonds are poor investments but people love them that's why when you buy them they are expensive but one you sell them the price goes down a hefty amount.
