The Carol Burnett show was extremely progressive re gay as a reality. The destigmatization they accomplished, in ways subtle and overt, is major. (Has never been publicly acknowledged.) Harvey wasn’t out, but he sure wasn’t in the closet, and many skits shone a light on him as a gay man. I’m so grateful for the Carol Burnett show! My multi faceted ‘weirdness’, evident by 10, 11 years old, was celebrated by this show, and these brilliant actors and writers!

I noticed a goof by Carl Reiner - he asked "how lazy is your brother in law?" twice. Looks like he was trying to see a cue card before he said it a second time. So I'm guessing he couldn't see the cue card and so he just said the previous line again.

Manuel Orozco in my opinion, it’s complicated. Her very presence in the way that she expressed herself, there was something very powerful and progressive about her just the way she was. And there is a queer sensibility to the show in it’s campiness And yes, there are these misogynistic and homophobic jokes that are very dated now.

The powers-that-be have no right to alter what was motive for good conscience by the citizens of Florida who voted for the felons to vote. This is also very orwellian.
