Just so you know the guy in the moon, attempted su*icide due to public scrutiny. It was a mess in the past, its scary how public can easily break a person. He is not the first though, a lot of idols/celebs had committed su*cide already due to online bullying and it was sooo sad. Thats the anger and sadness he was talking about and he wants to change it.
The guy on the moon tried to end his life after he got hates after he got caught smoking MJ And the guy on the boat is known to be religious + the curly haired guy turn into religion a few years back when he was involved in a DUI (NOTE BEFORE ANYONE ASSUMING I'M ATTACKING DAESUNG: The guy who died in the accident did the DUI. No charges filed against Daesung. Still, it of course gave Daesung a very difficult moment in his life that he had to go through so he can come back in society and stand on stage again, but for God's sake just google the whole thing if anyone wants to know about it before assuming anything or attacking anyone). Also now it's only 4 of them. So many harsh things they're experiencing these past few years despite being the Kings of the industry..
The kings of kpop, indeed. The idols of idols. I am still crying. As a long-time VIP, this hits really hard. Especially when you get to know their stories, the symbolisms in the MV will make more sense. TOP’s verse particularly (the guy in the moon/space). How he is saying goodbye, and the anger and sadness. He got embroiled in issues and he also left YG already, and he suffered from mental health issues as well. The goodbye is also like goodbye to all the pain as he will be starting a new life. That quote is from the Psalms-and it says that after all the challenges they faced, it is now a time for joy. This is goodbye to Big Bang and a move to their new individual paths. In itself, the song is very emotional, but it will hit harder once you get to know their stories.
Sadly, all of them have suffered from mental health issues except Taeyang or at least he hasn't made any public. G-Dragon's Kwon Ji Yong album was about his mental health issues and Daesung came close to suicide in 2011 and still stays clear of social media to this day.
I'm so happy that you were able to catch the anger in TOP's eyes, as well as the other emotions that followed. He's an actor as well, that's why he's so expressive. But this time it's not acting but him expressing what he felt all these years without words.
😭 Still, I’m crying. Everyone can’t hold their tears. They’re just amazing. I can’t express myself too. I missed them so much 🥹. This song was meaningful. My feeling is messed up. I hope this is not last song of them. Still, I feel so emotional 😭 🤧.
Bigbang is the most poetic, artistic, and meaningful group in the entire kpop industry, this is why they are the king. They leave a space for US, viewers to theorize, interpret, and relate to their craft.
some people think it's their goodbye song just like how 2ne1 ended their era because of the message and I do feel like it's their last song together. this really hits hard for the old bigbang fans, if you know how much they suffered from the past, how people criticized them, this is the perfect interpretation of how they surpass it all and matured individually 🤍 and just a fact: there is no chorus for this song. it's incomplete just like them 🤍
I really hate hearing that, especially after watching the reactors who are really dissecting the song really well. It feels like as a VIP, it's just a reality that I don't want to happen. So when I hear them say that this feels like a goodbye song, I am hating them just for that one second. It's an unexplainable feeling...
the first line and the last line from Taeyang are basically the "chorus". songs dont really need a typical "pop chorus" th be "complete". alot of rock ballads are structured like this(see the beatles for example)
The Korean song title "봄여름가을겨울" means spring, summer, autumn and winter and the lyrics are about the four seasons. In the MV, the four sons of BIGBANG were shot separately in 4 scenes. Just like the four seasons can't get together. One of the member will probably be absent forever but his position is no one can replace.
Once Seungri comes back better, they will be one as he is is their 4 seasons. thats why theres still 5 lines at the end. the 4 chairs is the present, them 4 coming back but the end is still 5 line.
I wanted to add that GD (umbrella guy) and T.O.P (moon guy) are part of the biggest art collectors in Asia, so they know their symbolisms 😌🙌 it's pretty safe to say every element in the mv has a particular and deliberate meaning!
VIPs, BIGBANG's fandom name debated what's behind GDRAGON (the guy with the rainbow umbrella) "Happier times are coming" or "Happier times are gone" Some VIPs searched for the font that was used, and the sentence behind him is "Happier Times Are Coming" :) Also, this song seems like a goodbye song, but it's not. It is like this song is saying goodbye to their past.. leaving behind the sad days, and moving forward. Even their agency, YG Entertainment confirms that this is not a goodbye, but a new beginning. :) Thank you for this wonderful reaction vid, it's been 6 days since the MV released and your reaction teared me up a little.. your interpretation and understanding hits so hard haha 🥲
I cant stop crying when i listen this song, i really miss them so much! I was very hard for BIGBANG and VIP in these 5 years, we received a los of hate of kmedia and other fandoms, but we stay strong protecting BIGBANG 🤧 They learned us never give up and fight for our dreams despite not having the approval of society and all try to minimize us. I'm VIP since 2008 when i was 12 years old and now i'm 26 years old, i'm a adult now and i always grateful with BIGBANG for accompany me in all these years, I grew up listening to their songs. And this song is so special for VIP because they kept their promise to come back when the flowers bloom 🤧 and i only want to say Thank you BIGBANG, for give us this beautiful gift. I dont know if this a ending but i always support them to my five lovely guys. TOP, G-dragon, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri 💛🤧
I’m a casual Bigbang fan coz I found out about them when Blackpink covered their song Loser. Thats when I started watching their MVs and performances. I must say they are the KINGS of Kpop. No other group can be like them. And this is my first comeback of them and I feel like the song isnt a comeback but a goodbye like what you said. I was in tears after watching the MV. I dont think I can recover from this anytime soon. How I wish I known them before when they are still active.
Yes, this song is more like goodbye than comeback song. They're my no.1 K-pop group of all time and I've been growing up with them. It's such a beautiful and sad song at the same time 😭😭
thank you for a thoughtful review of "Still Life". I really appreciate how you look into Bigbang with open-mindedness, listening to the song as is, and understanding the lyrics they're delivering. I'm actually surprised that you caught most of the things noticed by fans that I don't think casual or first time listeners catch.
Ever since I've been watching reaction videos, I've decided to revisit this song to reactions, and now my waves of emotions are returning. These kings were my first introduction to kpop in 2007 and because of them, majority of my listening has been kpop. As a TOP bias, his scene and verse hit me really hard. Glad you pointed out TOP's expression because after all he went through, this comeback is his way of telling the world about how he felt through it all. The 4 chairs represents 4 members including the one who left because GD has his own chair being the directors chair.
I can’t remember what flower it is but a Korean said that the flower they chose represents honor and Victory. Big Bangs former member is named Seungri which means victory in Korean and yellow is VIPs official color so it’s like a trinity between all of us. The fans, the former member and the glory we achieved together.
Thank you so much for your reaction. I found the real quote somewhere on Instagram and it actually says happier times are coming. But everything in bigbang's music video are intentional so I believe they put it like that for people to have their own interpretation of their future, or bigbang's future. The more I watched it, the more things I notice and the more it resonates with me. They went through so many things, some of them have had suicidal thoughts. The part where the rapper sings 'for life' hits hard. It reminds me of my lowest days and how I struggle to go through it, for life. I think the more you know about their past, the more this song will hit you. Thank you bigbang
bigbang member since begining been learn to make their lyric, arranging song, their song choreo, dancing even have to do the tour to book dome with their own money, you can imagine how hard they thought their lesson to be king of kpop
I've watched almost all the reactions of still life but yours is the best owing to the fact that you have the deepest analysis of the MV. Keep it up bro. Huge respect from #VIP myanmar 🇲🇲😍😍😍
Big bang has 5 members before but now just 4 of them. The theory said 4 chairs of the MV are 4 members of big bang and the last chair with 'kwon ji yong' is GD (boy with umbrella) chair as a leader. So they still 5 members even if seungri doesn't there
I was lost for words for a while when I first watched the MV. It took a while for me to process. I think I understand the message they are trying to convey, but I cannot express it properly in words. And to think that you make this analysis without knowing them or their stories is just simply amazing. The message in this song hits hard for me as a fan of them since 2009 and for me as a person. This song feels like a mature goodbye - "Let's be apart to grow and learn to be a better person. Thank you for all these times" - which makes the song even more beautiful and heartbreaking. I hope happier times are truly coming for all of us. And yes, Taeyang (the first singer in the ship scene) and Daesung (Curly hair singer) are both known to be very religious, Taeyang especially so. Thank you so much for your reaction/analysis. It's very insightful.
Man you need to check their discography. You will never know what will hit you. Subscribing btw. More bigbang please. I recommend you to check their live performances. Unmatchable.
I had finally stopped crying and your reaction got me going again... They were my first kpop group, back in 2009... it's been such an emotional journey and this is the culmination.
I cried when I watch this, I've been their fans since 2014 and this comeback really sound like a farewell song as a group (BigBang) before they focus on each of their solo activity, which is sad for me because I love their music as a group more than a duo/solo. There are so many bad thing happen on some of the members at the past but right now I just hope they will forget all those bad thing and focus on their present and future. Eventho you just know them now, your interpretation of this MV are 99% accurate, that's why I subscribed!
Your reaction was very insightful! Thank you for it! I still can’t watch/listen to the song without crying. As a 15 year VIP this feels like the end of an era that I had hoped would never end. (VIP until whenever)
You must take the time to go back to 2006 and watch Big Bang grow through their music. You will see why they are so iconic in Kpop and why they are called the Kings of Kpop. I believe this songs is about shedding the past and moving forward.
In this case in particular knowing the group's history makes 80% of the song. I didn't expect the song to make me so emotional - I don't even follow them that closely, but they had such a big impact on the industry it's impossible not to know most of their stories, being into kpop.
A thousand years can pass and this song will always make me cry like the first time I saw it. This song overwhelms you with many feelings from Big Bang's entire career. Big Bang is 5 members but one he had legal problems and is no longer in the band. Big Bang is characterized more by its happy and party songs, but even in the sad ones they always appeared in their videos together. This was the only they were not joined anywhere in the video. Even in some of their videos they appeared together sitting on thrones because they are considered the kings of the 2nd gen, that represented the chairs but a sad way And of course they had to face a lot throughout their career, rumors, hate, and all the bad things that fame entails. This song hits very hard for all the feelings it conveys.
BigBang was really able to get the right emotions across - the melancholy, nostalgia. The way you described Top's face with the anger and hurt then the acceptance and that he is moving on with life. The song held their messages to fans.. Top, the one for winter, left the agency. He is still part of BigBang but will be pursuing some solo activities for now and it may take time until he gets to be with the group again. He is one of the two members who was involved with issues during their recent hiatus when they started serving their military duties. One of their members left the group due to scandals and I think this song is a perfect way for them to still show their love for their brother. It seems like they have come to terms with all that had happened to them no matter how unfair some are (in my opinion). They are acknowledging that BigBang will not be the same and pay homage as well as properly say goodbye to that BigBang so they can move on with their lives. I really hope they will continue to make and share their music to us be it solos, units, or maybe when the time comes that they will come back as a group again.
Signs were shown: “Happier times are gone”, 4 empty chairs, 4 different weathers, the rainbow color in the umbrella are shaded darker and the video were shoot separately. It could be a goodbye. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
It's really interesting that You know a lot about their experience without knowing who they were . It's also interesting how You are able to breakdown the story behind the song just by listening. They've been through a lot . It's actually a Goodbye song , wherever they go hope they find happiness. ❤️
For the moment, this is my favourite reaction to Still Life. And it was your first time reacting to BIGBANG but you truly felt the emotions and I liked it. Of course, you don't have all the references, the struggles they went through the past years but that's okay. This song is perfect for their comeback. Thank you and I hope this glimpse gave you the will to discover more about them ♥
It's a song for VIPs, and for people adulting, even for non-VIPs. That's why it hits hard because people who are of the same age as they are, are going through the same thing.
I hope you react to more of their older stuffs and live performances (because those are epic n better than mvs) You've seen many ppl hyping them up n believe me you won't be disappointed I've been a fan since 15yrs ago. It hits different. My friend introduced them to me but I don't even talk to that friend now. I'm still listening to their music tho. It's not just a comeback song for me, it's a song for me to remember n let go of my past.
Watched with the lyrics and I completely understood what the song was about. And like I said in the video I felt like it was a perfect ending song. Which technically it was. I've been a fan of Big Bang for a long time, so I'm definitely not new to them and what they've achieved and endured over the years. In fact they didn't even get together because they are individual scenes, at no time are they together. So we can only remember the old times and cry with nostalgia. I thought it was cruel for the company to put a hope in our hearts to come back and release a farewell MV, it hurt a lot on impact, it made my vip heart bleed, I'm in tears. 😭😪😭💔🖤
As a VIP (BIGBANG fan) I'm really praying to the sky this not a goodbye. Hope it's more like: let's leave past in the past. Let's say goodbye to it, our life won't be the same but it's Still Life. You're right, they have come through a lot. Two of the members - Taeyang (the one on the ship), and Daesung (the one with curly hair) are religious. Thanks, for the reaction. And I hope more reactions to them will come.
thank you for your analysis and explanation! by the way, bigbang originally had 5 members and one of them just retired from the industry in 2019, so this is their first ever music video with only four members.
"Happier times are coming". That was what it's supposed to be. However, don't you think it's weird that it was covered in such a way that if nobody knows it, they will understood it as "Happier times are gone". He knows what he's doing. The chairs, the signs, the clock and many of the signs were from the leader who wrote the song. I believe he's also the person who help designed the set too.
Wow, your reaction to this masterpiece is amazing, you're almost on point on your interpretation of the song and the MV. I'm here now cause I miss BigBang and I'm currently in the rabbit hole of watching people react to them hahaha, thanks for this content!
For me they're living legend n kings of kpop...this song is actually a goodbye song to their youth n they'll embracing the new path in the future.....u know what, some of ur analysis actually coincide with Gd n bigbang thought, it seems u already know about them long time ago, very2 good reaction!!!
Your reaction showed that Music can tell a good story. Even you have no idea about Bigbang or the story behind this song. You have understood the lyrics so well and the emotion conveyed through this song. Good job. I have subscribed your channel and hope you will react more about G-dgragon and Bigbang.
As someone who has been stanning and following them since 2009, those lyrics hit harder. I can't stop myself to cry everytime hearing and watching this song. The background stories each and everyone of them, their ups and downs. Anyway fyi there were actually 5 members
These years of hiatus for Bigbang were hell, Korean media tried to sink every member by searching in their private and public lives, adding to this five-member military service was not easy and until today there still life no presentation on any Korean program. For damage to the reputation of the group and separately.
The 4 empty chairs show that they are individuals in their own right. yes, they come together to make music and they have that genre of expression together as brothers but they are still each their own self. Accepting that first matters. But my g%%% together they are so dynamic. Even singing this simple song. And thats fact, the song is real simple, Three, four chords only needed. What you do with it determines the future. I also beloieve this is a goodbye, but I believe a good bye for the past. I have hope for the future.
Disclaimer - Lots of Pausing & talking ahead!
Anyway, damn, I'm gonna sit in a corner for a bit and calm down.
I'm here for that! 💕 Thanks for your genuine and insightful reaction.

Your reaction was very insightful! Thank you for it! I still can’t watch/listen to the song without crying. As a 15 year VIP this feels like the end of an era that I had hoped would never end. (VIP until whenever)
It's says HAPPIER TIMES ARE COMING ❤️
Love your reaction! ♡ exactly how I felt about it too, i’m lost for words. it’s like you really understood what they are trying to portray..
I didn't expect the song to make me so emotional - I don't even follow them that closely, but they had such a big impact on the industry it's impossible not to know most of their stories, being into kpop.
u analyze it 100/100
A thousand years can pass and this song will always make me cry like the first time I saw it.
BIGBANG IS TRUE KINGS OF KPOP BIGBANG FOREVER👑👑👑👑👑
Lalalala is actually the missing lyric for their missing member Seungri 😭
You have an amazing attention to detail, your reactions I learn so much and feel so much… thank you DG
You truly said it😢 STILL LIFE ! was goodbye for the group😔
Signs were shown:
“Happier times are gone”, 4 empty chairs, 4 different weathers, the rainbow color in the umbrella are shaded darker and the video were shoot separately.
BIGBANG IS KING OF KPOP
For the moment, this is my favourite reaction to Still Life. And it was your first time reacting to BIGBANG but you truly felt the emotions and I liked it. Of course, you don't have all the references, the struggles they went through the past years but that's okay.
This song is perfect for their comeback.
Thank you and I hope this glimpse gave you the will to discover more about them ♥
It's a song for VIPs, and for people adulting, even for non-VIPs. That's why it hits hard because people who are of the same age as they are, are going through the same thing.
The best reaction I've ever watched to the best music video I know.
Thank ypu so much.
Beautiful lyric breakdown. Thank you.
1:15 thank you for this
I cried a whole day long.
More Bigbang’s videos pls🔥🥺❤️
I hope you react to more of their older stuffs and live performances (because those are epic n better than mvs)
You've seen many ppl hyping them up n believe me you won't be disappointed
I've been a fan since 15yrs ago.
Im happy to see many youtubers doing a reaction which I didn't know they r VIPs. Now ik that bigbang is still up there.
KINGS IS BACK 👑💛👑💛👑💛👑💛👑💛
Ahh that lalalalala is such a reference to their old song and I’m just crying
More Bigbang pls...
thank you for your analysis and explanation! by the way, bigbang originally had 5 members and one of them just retired from the industry in 2019, so this is their first ever music video with only four members.
Top walks alone to space. It’s made me sad. Alone journey and left behind all past.
Best reaction ever !!🙌🏽🙌🏽💙💙
Wow, your reaction to this masterpiece is amazing, you're almost on point on your interpretation of the song and the MV. I'm here now cause I miss BigBang and I'm currently in the rabbit hole of watching people react to them hahaha, thanks for this content!

Thank you sooo much for your reaction! I am soo happy that they are back! I was crying the whole time
For me they're living legend n kings of kpop...this song is actually a goodbye song to their youth n they'll embracing the new path in the future.....u know what, some of ur analysis actually coincide with Gd n bigbang thought, it seems u already know about them long time ago, very2 good reaction!!!
Thank you for your accurate reaction. I think yours is one of the best reaction to Still Life by BIGBANG
A very good reaction! Kudos!
Love top
The 4 empty chairs show that they are individuals in their own right. yes, they come together to make music and they have that genre of expression together as brothers but they are still each their own self. Accepting that first matters. But my g%%% together they are so dynamic. Even singing this simple song. And thats fact, the song is real simple, Three, four chords only needed. What you do with it determines the future. I also beloieve this is a goodbye, but I believe a good bye for the past. I have hope for the future.
Fantastic reaction
I'm liking them from this cb, omg i was missing out a lot
Your views and opinions about the message in this song are very good and true
