I have to give props to Samsung that they upgraded the Flip 4 by putting in a chipset that is TWO generations ahead from what's in the Flip 3. They could've easily decided to go with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. But by putting in a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset into the Flip 4, that means it will have a better chipset than what's in Samsung's current top-of-the-line flagship phone - the S22 Ultra.
I thought that the 22 ultra had the sane 8plus chip? What other phones have that chip?

I love the side-by-side between the two generations. I also like that you could get pink right away because last year you couldn't. I'm getting the purple again. 💜 I still love purple but pink is my second fav.

I love this more in depth first look of the Z Flip 4! I currently have the Z Flip 3, but with the deal that is going on with the trade in, I am seriously considering getting the 4
I personally was in the same boat as you. with the free upgrade to storage and the trade-in deal, the price was too good to pass up. but I understand why someone wouldn't !
I'm seriously considering trading in my S22U for the Flip 4 256GB for $99.99. And Samsung is also giving me $100 credit for accessories. I can use that to buy the Watch 5, and Buds Pro 2. It would be under $300 for everything!
@@thundergato84 that's exactly what I did. I traded my galaxy s22+ & purchased the flip 4 256gb, of which I got the watch 5, ear bugs 2pro & a free silicon case for $284. Can't beat that deal & if I don't like the flip 4, I will upgrade to s23+.

I currently own the Z Flip 3... and honestly, I do not see the need to upgrade. Besides the battery spec I don't see why they released a New model so Quick. Don't get me wrong, I love my flip, but there are no mayor changes worth upgrading to the 4 so fast.
The battery was the only reason I returned my z flip 3, so I might just give the z flip 4 a shot. The phone was really fun and definitely a conversation starter lol.
right now samsung is offering a $900 credit for the flip 3 so it’s really $100 plus tax. i preordered for the blue one(: something to think about!
@@_xoxofeli same here. I somehow missed that Unpacked was today and didn’t even realize the Flip 4 had been announced. I started getting text messages from Samsung about the $900 credit for my Flip3, checked it out just for fun, then decided $100 plus tax to upgrade was too good to pass up. Plus looking forward to better battery life. Can’t wait to see the blue in person.

If I didn't get my s22 plus or could afford a second phone I would get the flip 4. I always wanted a flip but the early one scared me cause of lack of accessories and a thin screen and the fact it was 1500+. The flip 4 looks like my 22 plus cause I have the pink gold

I might just have to give the Z Flip 4 a shot! That blue and pink gold color is gorgeous! The purple seems to be the same. I tried the Z Flip 3 but the battery was a let down.
The bora purple is a let down this time because it reminds us so much of the flip3. They should've come up with a pink one instead. One blue, one pink.

Hi Isa, amazing first impressions as always. Can we do a head-to-head social media comparison against the S22s and the iPhone 13s? I don't expect a 12MP rear camera to do a better job, but I'm really hoping Samsung does a little optimization for it to compete with a flagship phone since it has the same price tag. I really love its form factor, been eyeing to buy it since the Flip 3. But I really don't understand why Samsung can't put their flagship cameras in it. If the battery life is the price we have to pay for having a foldable, but what about the camera? All I want is a reliable camera in a form factor of a foldable. But if the Flip 4 is no better than its predecessor, I'll go for an S22 or an IP13.

It's nothing new the 22 line is like the 21 line in terms of similar design. They don't usually change them every year
They've only improved the flip 3's design since it was the design people leaned towards. Changing it drastically every year is risky.
It's the Samsung tradition. One year they come up with a new refreshed look and the following year will only have a refinement one. Just like the S21 and S22. It's better than iPhones tho. They've been recycling the same design every year since iPhone X now.

I like the look of the 3, so I'm actually glad they didn't change it too much.. but that's just me. I like it! If they were too creative, too many things could go wrong and people wouldn't buy it. They kinda have to stick to what they know a little bit while making some changes that consumers complained about before.

s22U trashes both on overall specs. The flip & fold simply aren't ready yet and that's coming from someone who wants one. This is a very minor improvement with the exception of durability. Moreover, a number of Chinese companies have done better with the crease. Only 8gb ram, only 256, lower quality screen, annoying crease that breaks the phone, etc. Grt the 22U w at least 256gb to get 12gb ram.
The phone needs to record the number of flips just to keep them honest n

I'm ready for the Motorola RAZR this is such a disappointment to ZFlip owners I just want a bigger more functional cover screen. Motorola was able to to it on their first model. We'll see what Motorola does tomorrow, I'm ready to change my Flip but not for minor upgrade like this.
Remember that the Galaxy Flip series isn't all about the cover screen but also the software support Samsung is getting along with an ecosystem of devices. You'd realise that once you move to Motorola.

I watched Elvis (2022) for like a 19th time (17x in the theater) on the cover displays of my Razr 5G and Flip 3. The Razr had the much better experience. Lazy upgrades.
