This was a beautiful piece to watch, the animation is so wonderfully unique and charming, the score fits perfectly with the characters and scenes. I cannot praise this enough. Excellent job, C.L! I'm not even a HoloLive fan but this is just a beautiful short film! I love the aesthetic and the character design looks like a mix-breed between traditional anime and Jamie Hewlett's artsyle and I am ridiculously in love with it! Can't wait to see more of your work!

Finally we see Gura as she TRULY is, a feral little goblin child. Kidding aside, this just oozes with style, I have some minor critques with the quality of certain elements, but the character expressions and movements are so charming it overwhelms the little issues.
This was so crisp, it's a DAMN SHAME that it ain't feature length. The visuals look stunning, the animations are fluid and vivid, and the expressions feel so alive. That water skill Goombus used looked so pretty as well. Here's to hoping for more from this awesome artist. Subscribed immediately.
2:49 This scene is so well done. You can see in Ame's facial expressions her entire character, without even muttering a single word, her choice to either turn Gura in or to protect her. Which she eventually chooses the latter. also on a further note, I love the character modelling, the small freckles on Ame's face, the scratches and scrapes on Gura's body, it gives SO MUCH more to what we're used to, just a 2D rig or a 3D one. Bravo, this short animation is brimming with creativity and an obvious passion for the beloved hololive idols. P.S. 4:03 this scene where Gura wiggles her hips before pouncing is so much like a cat, there are so much little details in this short video that makes rewatching it worthwhile
I see a little more. And it plays to both of their lores. Amelia's expression at 2:39 seems to be one of happy recognition followed quickly by confusion; almost like she is seeing a familiar friend only to be countered by a lack of recognition in return. Then, when she sees Gura's tail, she starts to put some pieces together and turning her in was not an option. I think what we see here is their first encounter in "real time", Gura's perspective of time. The constables' uniforms, Ame sourcing from hardcopy newspapers, string and a peg board not a computer all indicate an older age. Granted, the shock rods seem a little out of time, but...steampunk maybe? Ame's personal time stream is so skewed there is no telling at what point in her past they interacted. I think she was simply trying to solve a mystery and wasn't expecting it to lead to Gura...the crimes being unlike her quiet, gentle friend. This also plays well with the piece released in December and even the recent Shark'd...the latter happening more in a present day "real time".
This is easily one of the best pieces of fan content that's been made so far. It's such a unique style and tone, while still capturing a lot of the anime aspects that make them cool.

The Art style is phenomenal, the way everything looks. The background, the set pieces, especially Ame has that western animation Claymation down to a T.

The Art style is phenomenal, the way everything looks. The background, the set pieces, especially Ame has that western animation Claymation down to a T.
It’s such a whimsical experience, watching these. I think I saw Fleeting Time and 999 a while back, and watching your artistic talent evolve like this is fascinating and wondrous.
