  • Bailey is 7 years old, and over the past year she has slowly started to retire! I wasn't expecting her to retire so quickly, but a few challenges this year brought it on a bit sooner than expected.

Oh Sweetheart, I know how it is. I retired my last one after 10 years of service to me. I know I kept her in service way too long, but didn't have many options until Warriors Heart stepped in and helped me out. It's NEVER easy so please don't ever think you are over thinking or reacting. Much love and thank you for doing what you're doing! 4 paws, 2 legs, and 1 heart!!!

I am so sorry to hear all this. That's a lot to deal with. Skidboot is only 3 1/2, but the thought of having to retire him for any reason makes me cry.

Sending love, what a rollercoaster you’ve been on. While it’s so hard for you two right now, you’ll make it through together. I worked at a vets for years, dogs are so resilient and bounce back beautifully. In my experience, they hardly miss body parts! Emotionally for both of you this is a hard time, and we send you all our warm thoughts and prayers.❤

I’ve been wondering how you were doing and when we get another video from you. Sorry to hear about all the health issues Bailey has been dealing with but glad she’s doing well now and that she gets to enjoy her retirement. I also hope your brothers doing well and that his service dog’s training is going good.

I was recommended to service dogs instead of one so that I can have the load balance in terms of my service dog alerting me with my PTSD and my two medical conditions it's a lot for $1 to take on so they are recommending having to service dogs within a 5-year Gap in which the puppy can learn of everything from the previous service dog and threw the trainer that were using for the first service dogs and my additional training that I'm using As I Am the Handler and I'm doing it privately because I cannot afford a service dog from a service office ility and it is said to be most beneficial as the first ourselves will not burn out so soon and their golden years because they're having that load balance adjusted so that when they need to have time and rest and recoup and some down time that they really need the other dog will step in so you're not always depending on one dog you have two different dogs will do the same stuff so that is a real beneficial thing. Right now I'm trying to raise money to finish my service for my first service dog that's in private training because I cannot for the ludicrous amount of money for a service dog outside of my state that requires three different Specialties in training areas and it was just the increase accost because you're a civilian and then additional increase the cost because you're single woman or I'm making it really just difficult and playing games with me so I have chosen this alternate route. Where are the ordination is your recommendation of Freighters and Facilities or rescue facilities that have dogs that wouldn't be making the mark for being a potential service dog and so is this time is too afraid her because you know I need a larger breed for my Mobility coordination so it's a Bernese mountain dog golden labrador doodle mix and then I am thinking go with a pit or something like that read because I have a similar personality so I'm very good at handling pits because like my cousin has a pee at my friend has one and I'm very good with working with them in just even teaching them the things that I already know with my service dog and they're very good with that so the whole goal is so that my service talk will last a longer. Of time and just go new yours to be able to be a service dog because I'll have another service on the side where they can step in for one another switched out when they have to and ease the burden easy stress because you're balancing the workload for the two dogs so 2 days or 3 days I can I can go out with 11 service dogs the next three days I go out with my other service dog while the other service dog is at home with my ESA senior citizen dog who's has trained as well and I've got cats here to keep him company so it's not much of an issue and it'll give every week sometime to just relax and so they don't overwork themselves and burnout.. what was recommend dated because of the three situations in which I need my service dog for a service dog with another service dog would be beneficial for eating the load not burning out and golden years and it will be beneficial for them mentally physically and emotionally so that they can alter from one another unless I go somewhere out of town router they both would go with me you know you can bring both dogs with you anywhere so once they are fully trained. However in Michigan there are some rules and regulations that were put into place for service dog training and unfortunately many companies want to argue that only service dogs are fully trained and then they want to fight you on it but the whole reason for this three new laws bills put into play in Michigan was so that's herzog's in training couldn't get adjusted to the places that their Handler goes most often instead of just dumping them in there and expecting them to be as good as they were in when they finish their training, it can be stressful and overwhelming when they're forced into areas that they haven't trained in because it was only area specialized for service dogs only, so now that those areas are now officially under the three Bells open in Michigan for service dogs and Public Access training the places are public-access areas outside as well as some inside and they cannot deny you the right to access train there because it's a criminal offence up to do so with the new bills that were passed in 2022 under our government and Michigan so if they try to say only service dogs allowed you can show him the information and the goal is to move the service dog training forward so they can finish ahead of schedule verse is having away. And then being dumped in these areas that they have not been familiarized with. I will probably get a female service dog for my second service dog because I know that two male dogs or two female dogs can be a bit temperamental with one another and stuff so that is my hope but like right now I'm doing what I can with my one service dog and you know would breeds their age and health situation or life expectancy it's also be taken into consideration with a service dog and if you're concerned that they could burnout and whatnot ahead of their Golden Age years you know at the beginning it like I said it is recommended to have a second service up on standby and at least five years younger at so that you got you have a nice Gap there and a different breed of possible you get done get the best out of both dog as a service dog for an extended. Of time that would otherwise not be possible under one service I could have been his burned-out and exhausted right into his golden years
