It usually starts with experiencing a problem which leads you to ask yourself how to solve it. When you go about creating a solution in the form of a program, a mobile app, or even a device, you would figure out it's scalability, sustainability and profitability. it was a decision long time in the making and even after quitting, it still took a year to have all pieces fall into the right places :)
