    As ever, Nina, your ideas, work and precision is just unbelievable. These gorgeous books are absolutely beautiful. I love both but favour the bluey toned one, slightly more but they are both breath taking. I have so many fabrics from eBay that I have no clue how to use them up and this is certainly one way of working with them. Hope Steve managed, somehow, to see the mighty Reds win the Carabao cup right at the last minute. Tears shed and voices lost here at Lambert Towers!! Have a lovely week and thank you so much for the inspiration which I shall try to think of when I eventually organise my craft room which may take till the Champions League Final to finish!! x

      What a result hey! Sam is our Reds supporter, has been since he was a nipper. Haven’t spoken to him today though, but he would have been glued to the match! Steve on the other hand has been glued to the Rugby! Glad you like these little books. Have a great week and Happy Creating ❤️ x

    I love fabric on journals and it is a perfect project for those fabric scraps we all have tucked away! I think we all go through phases of doing various creative endeavours and we rarely throw things out! It will be a fun journey to continue! Yours are so pretty already!💕🇨🇦

    Thank you so much Nina, I really really enjoyed watching you create these beautiful and stunningly gorgeous little journals. They’re so cute and adorable too. I think I like them just as they’re are, but if you wanted to add some slow stitches around the square pieces with embroidery floss, that might be nice. But, I really think your florals make a lovely statement on their own. Please stay safe and well too xxxx ❤❤❤❤❤❤

      Thanks Mags. I really appreciate your comment. Sometimes we feel that we need to add unnecessary embellishments to our crafts don’t we, whereas sometimes less is more. Yours was the comment I was hoping to get. Love you to bits ❤️❤️❤️❤️ xxxxxx

    Good morning nina, making books is always the thing I enjoy most and I learned so much from your videos how to do that. Love the soft spines, I do this too lately when I make books. Also love every time I hear you use expressions I did not know before..today's one was.."come and play ball with me"...loved it. I will not choose today, liked both of the books. Congratulations to both Steve and Alex. I hope you are doing well and wish you a good week my friend. Love and a hug ❤xxx lena

      @NinaRibenaMixedMedia  6 месяцев назад

      Good afternoon Lena. I really enjoyed making these and I do believe the soft spines were a first for me. Love them! Actually got out into the garden today and cut the lawn for the first time which had grown out of control due to all the mild wet weather! It was not an easy cut as everything is still so wet, but the garden looks a lot tidier for it. I think I will feel it tomorrow! First time I have done any serious work in the garden since my op! Hope you have a great week. Love and hugs ❤️ xxx

    I love them both! I'm wondering if you will be able to use your typical method of holding the signatures in with elastic or twine so you can take them out to work on. Maybe the spine wouldn't hold up for that? Looking forward to the next videos on your slow stitch journal. Be well!

    • @NinaRibenaMixedMedia
      @NinaRibenaMixedMedia  6 месяцев назад

      I will have to bind in my signature(s) with a pamphlet study, but that is ok as with slow stitch I will work on fabric pieces outside of the journal, unlike I would with collage. Looking forward to filling this ❤️
