I'm embarrassed at how simple this was. My screens are very old and brittle I was afraid to give it too much of a push to one side. It worked! Thank you.
Some constructive criticism, i think it would be helpful to show the mechanism outside of the window so we can visualize how it works. But i know these shorts have limited duration. Thanks for the vid

Hey Carrie! If you’re talking about the actual frame of the screen, most newer windows use similar screens. The challenge is finding the right size since window sizes vary greatly. If you have the bent frame, take it to a local hardware store to see if the can either repair it or get you a new one in that same size. If you’re talking about just replacing the mesh on your screens, check out this video. It’s a very cost effective way to do it yourself. Test Pull - Tension bars on other side Push - Tension bars are on that side Steps Pull to the side of the tension bar Grab the top, pull down and to the right *After a Google search tension 'bars' look more like a small metal half circle spring
My screen doesn’t have any direction that works. There’s little locks at the top and little tabs to grip at the bottom. When you unlock it and pull it up it still won’t budge past the window frame. We can’t figure out how the guy even installed them.

No clue why they would have caulked the screen unless it was to stop people from removing the screen. Will they remove the caulk and screen for you?
