I''m a fan of Peter Hollens and his version of the song wasn't terrible, if still a bit more Disney-esque . This version reallly captures the essence of the antagonist Judge Claude Frollo (and by wearing the monks garb you rightfully reflect the fact that the original story was about a Priest - an Archdeacon). When I listen to this version of the song and watch the theatrics - you fully understand the darkness that lies in his soul. Obession, viewing a woman as an object to be owned and a willingness to kill her in a rather horrible way if he can't have her. It's one of the darker stories Disney has told - and this song nails it. Glad I stumbled on Tomi P.

i realize I'm quite randomly asking but do anybody know a good website to watch new series online?
I kind of get it. They tell the story as if Claude Frollo is the most evil being that has ever existed. Now I'm not hating on Catholic. However, you put a man of his position to disregard male chemistry, The body does what the body does. Things build up. The chemical signals in your body becomes stronger than your best intentions, and boom. Do not supress what your body is telling you. If you do, you become Claude.
I'll add on to this, and to preface, I've had this song on repeat all day and can only find one fault. The accent is off. I take it you're American so it's not a huge deal, but Frollo would be French and the original was sung in a British accent. I personally heard very American pronunciations with certain words. That's the only critique I have. Other than that, it was very well done and I commend you on your hard work. :)
This man really sung 6 octaves (F0-F6) in one song, incredible range and compositional skill 👏

its hard to sustain such an atmosphere for 5 minutes long in a video with music, tomi does it quite well, rather a video of a man singing than a music video this cinematic arrangement.

This is one of my favorite Disney songs and I was just telling my best friend that it would be PERFECT if I could find someone to sing it DEEPER. That the harmonies in this song would just be breathtaking in those lower octaves. Low and behold the amazing Tomi P had already done it! Seriously, this is absolutely PERFECT!!! I am 1000% obsessed with this masterpiece (I may have been listening to it on repeat for a few days now....) Beautifully done!

At 2:38, I can imagine seeing Esmeralda in the cathedral, slowing running down the hallway, and looking back, as he’s singing this. Then as it progresses, the cathedral slowly starts to catch fire all around her, and it’s engulfed in flames just as she runs out the doors. This is amazing🔥
So different to Jonathan Young's version which is still very much on the stage musical tone, yours truly is realistic and believable, and the classic trope of wanting what you can't have, so nobody else can have it either. YOU ARE INCREDIBLE!!

Love the range it's totally insane. As I'm writing this there are 232 comments on this video and about 400 of them are about the range. But for some reason the most impressive thing out of the million impressive things in this video is that buttery smooth f4 in the solo at the end. For a bass singer that's not the easiest thing in the world, and it just sounds so effortless here

This is one of my absolute favourites from you. And one of my favourites from all music I have ever known (I know sounds cheesy, but true can't help it.) and believe me that's a fucking huge compliment for me bc I have a very diverse and complex taste in music from classic over blues, jazz, folk music and classic rock to metal and a whole lot more and I listen to music very very intensly and deeply emotional. This is such a masterpiece, every single detail about it. The arrangement is absolute genius and your voice and the way you translate emotions into acoustic is simply mindblowing. I still refuse to listen to any other versions of this song bc it's simply perfect. I can't count the times I've heard it now and still do every day. Really, I think this is quality-wise the best piece you ever did in my opinion. You'd deserve so so much more likes for this one (and also every other). You're a true artist that's just not comparable to any other here on youtube or anywhere else. Please stay the way you are and keep doing what you're doing!

I think I can safely say this is the best cover of this song that I've heard, and I've listened to pretty great ones but yours is on another level. Not only is your singing incredible and chilling, but the emotions you convey are perfect. Generally people tend to romanticize this song, but you bring the darkest feelings out of it, the darkest feelings that Frollo does experience and develop throughout this sequence, and this is doing so much justice to such a fascinating song and character.

This is beautifully done, it rides this awesome line between sounding heavenly and demonic. It sounds like it's taking place inside of a cathedral, and yet paired with the video being outdoors gives the impression that the voices are just echoing off the walls of his mind.
You did an amazing job on this video and especially this song I do not understand why Disney thought this was an appropriate story for a children's movie. The storyline is truly dark and this song reflects it. You did an awesome job with the costuming, filming and editing ...the video is truly eye candy and the vocals, the arrangement... Bravo Tomi this will be a tough one to surpass

What can I say??? The simple but strong interpretation of Judge Frollo's battle between being a man of God or man of the world is so intense. I am married to a bass so seeing basses flexing their musical chops is always a treat, and this is no exception. I'll be looking for the next video with great excitement.
