  • When I found out the city of my childhood and the city where my trash truck fascination began with Briggeman Disposal trucks 90 and 99 (a late 70's C&O/White FL and a mid 80's White/Bowles FL) had finally accepted a bid that completely severed the Briggeman connection I felt a little sad.
I was getting ready to move away, probably forever, from Southern California so I felt it was time to get closure from my old turf. I didn't bother getting the Pete 320 / ZR ASL's that are collecting residential (they just don't interest me at all) but the brand new FF Gomez FL on the other hand was a different story.
So goodbye Cypress, CA. I remember this city fondly and the fantastic trucks that collected there for many years. Those memories will live me for a lifetime. I'm glad I got pictures when I did too. Wished I was smart and got more while I could.

Wow. Drop dead gorgeous. And not just for a brand new truck either. Way to go Valley Vista Services.

I was pretty shocked to find out VVS had switched to Pete. Pretty sweet unit, I was kind of disappointed to find that I didn't like the looks of a VVS Pete as much I thought I would when I first saw pictures of it. Makes me appreciate their CCCs that run by me a little more lol I need to film some of them soon. They recently scrapped five/six Diesel units, which are going up for bid this Saturday at a local auction. The FF Gomez body looks awesome though, it reminds me of the old Wittke/Leach body frame from the early 2000s. Glad to see some footage of VVS in Cypress, I was wondering how they've been doing.

Looks sharp in the VVS livery. Also it is very strange to see the Socal gas logo on the top of the truck.

Top quality snap at 4:27! Couldn't think of a better cab (to switch to, if they felt like they *had* to switch from CCC) than this to go with the lean design of the smooth side Gomez front loader. How many of these does VVS now have?

+Trashman242 I'm not sure how many they have. You might have to go on a mission to find out. lol

Jose M How long have you worked for these guys? What is your history in the industry? I love meeting So-Cal drivers.

I believe Briggeman is now head of Valley Vista's Orange County operations.

+Jose M Since I've actually known very little about Briggeman as of late, why would you say that? Is there something wrong with Briggeman being head of VV OC operations?

Does he not treat his workers well, or is it a disorganization issue?
