I’m so excited to see this vlog. I waited till Sunday so I can tuck in with my piping hot coffee ☕️ watching the tele all day! Meanwhile my Pom decided to play with her squeeky toy. Lol . Thanks Mr C!
The bar cart makes the green wall pop and the rug really anchors the space. You must be so pleased with how the vision you had way back for the loft is really coming together. It's a lovely place and the greenery of the plants makes it look so cosy 👍🏻👍🏻
Take all the dead leaves of the plant and give it a feed then all the goodness will go into creating new growth instead of being wasted on the old dried up leaves. Tip from my Dad.. great vlog ..love the green.

Loving the way the loft is looking. Love the green and all the plants. And the bar cart. Give the plants a good feed and remove all the dead bits from that first plant. It'll be tiny but then you know what you are working with.

Love the makeover Mr C! What about painting the triangle area behind the bar cart that attaches to the green wall? Im thinking with the print you put up it would also help tie that in. I love the green color you picked and the rug is perfect!!!

Great makeover. I wasn't sure about the green but it looks fantastic. I'm loving the Rug too. The Bar Cart looks amazing for a Charity Shop find. You can always rely on Kate for a good find. With the 1st plant you re potted I would suggest you get some scissors and take off all the dead stuff. It should survive if you take care of it. maybe give it a feed of liquid fertiliser too.

Loving the space you've created it looks a really peaceful calming space, colour is fab and the rug looks great what a good idea where the corners go over the underlay
You'll have to take up a couple of mugs for your coffee machine and a bottle ir two for your glasses 🥂 💕
That shade of green really works well with your plants, Mr. C, and I quite like the way you have rearranged the space. You did a great job getting that Ruggable rug into place -- My husband and I had an 8' x 10' Ruggable to wrangle, including working it into place under a very heavy piece of furniture that could not be shifted about -- It was quite the workout! Thanks for doing all this during your heatwave!! That's really going above and beyond!!♥

Glad you changed cushion on chair looks far far better, that gold pattern nice cushion doesn't fit in ... Well, another transformation!! I have to admit I am not a fan of the wood being the same colour as the wall, but actually once you put pictures on the wall and the trolley etc. I think it looks fabbo now. That rug is great and it just goes so well in that room. The room looks like such a peaceful and calm place and how lovely to be able to have that space for so many uses even if just sitting quietly with a cocktail and a good book on a sunny afternoon. Thanks for showing us the finished room, I love it! Have a good week end xx
Wow, I'm loving the color you chose, it's amazing how paint can transform a space. You did a great job styling the bar cart, those glasses you thrifted look gorgeous. Count me into going along with you for plant thrifng, I love plants as well. It's amazing how you brought the closet plant back to life, they are a very finicky plant and need lots of TLC. Miracle Grow brings even fake plants to life. 😁🌻 the loft room is coming along a treat. I only have cacti and I had to repot some recently it was quite therapeutic 😁 Have fun. 🌻🙏🐈🌞
Wonderful makeover, the room looks so relaxing! Love the wall colour and the rug really does add to the space. The bar cart looks great with the wall colour and all the plants just make the room so cozy. Oh I love your makeover. And I love this space! Green is my favorite color, to live with. Red is my favorite color but I can't live with red, blue for sure. My room which is my house because I rent a room is green and purple. That color green and lighter to Caledon. And my bed spread is deep purple 💜 that is satin patch work with green and silver too with some velvet and it has beads and matching shams and plain purple dust ruffle. At my sisters she bought me a pair of art pieces with purple lily's on a green background and she took to the paint shop to make matching wall paint. Ooh la la!
You have such good taste! I would never have thought to paint the wood trim the same color as the door and the walls. That looks so cool! I also love the shade of green that you chose, and the fact that you used both eggshell for the door and a matt finish for the walls. Thanks for sharing with us, and I hope things start cooling off for you in the UK!

The loft looks amazing. Love the green color, the rug and all the thrifty finds. I'm impressed with the plant that is 10 years old! I have a framed picture of a calla lilly that's probably 10 years old, lol.

Love that paint colour. Think the Lick paint cans are so well thought out with the carry handle and screw lid. Must save on spillages and keeps the opened paint lasting longer.

I love the rug . Nice earth tones . The bar cart I would have put mugs instead of the glasses ...we are having a heat wave here in the states . It's been in the 90s for awhile now....and this is why I love spring and fall .
Really loving the green area! It’s so lovely. Well done with the lily, and the terrarium idea is great. I collect succulents so I’m looking forward to seeing real ones in that lovely glass vase. So lovely! The paint color is perfect for that room! It reflects nature back into the room.
Oh my goodness, that rug! It anchors the room and adds so much texture. I love the play of the radiator, the pillow on the chair, and the rug. The lines are reflected on each one.
I like the placement of furniture. Sometimes just moving the furniture around can change a space.
You’ve created a lovely and cozy place.
We are experiencing extreme heat here in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, also.
It’s so hot that our pool water just isn’t refreshing-“real life problems”!

i had to laugh euan when you said how hot it was and then i saw you had socks and uggs on :) . i guess you filmed this before temps it 40 . my ocd went awry when you put glasses next to coffee machine and pods underneath lol . you do have fab decor tastes , lots of love from oz x

You’re definitely a “ Green Thumb” of sorts in this vlog. Wonderful peace lily. The green is a great change of pace for the loft. Worth the effort- nice work.
( you could alway use the rug again, if you get tired of it- since it’s not thick, as a black out blind).

Green is one of my favorite colors! It's so grounding and relaxing! (My master bedroom has a lovely green as the 'feature wall' and I love it!) This room is so homey and welcoming!

That colour looks lovely! That sad plant looks like a prayer plant. I’ve found they hate town water so I find them so hard to keep alive.
It's fun styling a room, even if it's just a small cove with little room, placing things in the room to give it a feeling, a mood is what it's all about. Nice redo on the loft space

Everything looks so homey in the loft. It doesn't look too precious that nobody can live there. The clear tables were such a treasure. The only thing I would add is a thin magazine rack over the radiator. Or something. Love the big trunk in a small space. What is in it?
You should tease the roots out a bit when repotting …as some plants can go into shock and just ball up and die 🙈loosening up the roots encourages them to settle in and grow faster 😊hope that tip helps …loving the look of the loft now ! Looks like a great place to just kick back and relax in 😊

That carpet definitely pulled everything together. Get rid of the flowers on the bottom shelf of your drink trolley however nice the vase…not needed. You are a fan of Aldi, they had super large faux ceramic pots, my friend bought some and they were very realistic. What a great guy you are and I’ve been here well before the Peace plant❤️
Some nice green coloured glass stones would look nice with your cactus
My mum back in the day used to save the half dead plants in Poundland and Wilko's and bring them back to life they had a bad habit of not watering them she felt sorry for them lol x

What an ingenious idea for a rug!! Looks awesome, lovely green :)
Iwan, you don't remember my potting tips. To prevent disease, pots have to wash washed with hot soapy water, then bleach water and or dish soap, rinsed very well and sun dried. Then using a piece of old screen cut a piece to fit over the hole, you could scotch tape in place. Then using a piece from a broken terra cotta or a broke ceramic coffee cup or bowl. You want a curved piece to go over the hole to allow for drainage but both things will prevent a lot of soil seeping out the bottom. And they should be in the Terra cotta or ceramic pot directly because allows for natural sweating and climate control and moisture control. But in my bathroom my plants are in the store bought plastic they came in and the ceramic pot is the water catcher because they do well with the steam inthe bath and I give them showers so that is about all the maintenance they get. Back to repotting, then a layer of pebbles, then the soil then a mulch on top so the soil stays moist and doesn't get bone dry. Anyway with miracle gro around they will do fine. Just keep a big pot outside with potting soil and check and add to any potted plants whose soil has washed away. Okay maybe I've been helpful 😀

Mr. C please wash your planters with soap and water before you replant your plants. It will remove any bacteria that may be in the pot. Cut back all the dead parts of your poor plant. Feed it with nutrients and water. Hopefully it will grow back. 🪴 Your loft is really looking nice! 👍🏻👏🏻 I started laughing 😸 when you told Alexa to be quiet. 😂

I still cannot believe how your loft area looked compared to now. It is such a lovely space and I am sure the plants love all that sun. Ruggable is a very good product, I use it in my commercial space and they are holding up well.
