Honestly I really like the change of pace coming from season 4, it's like season 5 is making up for what we didn't have in season 4. Besides in season 5 there are fights may it be the Hesita familia trying to defend themselves against the Freya familia or Bell protecting "Syr" or even Bell training with the Freya familia. Season 5 spoilers (anime only): It's especially nice to see Ais be the one to get Bell to understand something is really wrong when he was about to give up, despite it being not being her intention.
Trust me it gonna be good idk if it tops season 4 but it’s gonna be good. Plus I like the season for the into to the freya familia they always been there and now we know how they interact
I've enjoyed every moment of this season especially Freya character really interest me seeing her go as far she did was very unexpected. Also the way she treats bell and Ryu I just didn't expect that from her. Bells emotional development in this season is top tier and I'm loving it. The action is great but there doing a really good job with the emotional side of things
@@wiibzreviews yeah I kind of think it's more because the season is focus on character development more than anything like the others had it but when you look at the others and then this one I think it's either all the way back at like season 1 or 2 and maybe season 4 you saw something similar when it came to the character development but I certainly think this one is still a lot more focused on that and I know some things there's going to happen after everything so all I can say is don't worry because I don't want to spoil
@wiibzreviews u have yo think this is a major plot point in the novel and it is about his love life but it will not be forever it's just a point in the show
the 100 girlfriends is meant to be a parody, but it has actual characters, the author of the manga said, he wants to create characters that are real with real lives and problems outside of the group.
I really love Danmachi so much. For me, Danmachi is better than between The Eminence in Shadow and Konosuba. Along with Mecha-Ude is one of my favorite mecha anime of 2024.
I think the reason they did the season 5 like this romenc first fights later it's probably because in season 4 it was mostly like 95% fights and 5% romance
Not many fights happen outside the dungeon, and he's basically being held hostage at this point so it's not like he can just pop in there, he's quite literally being kept out of it. So far most of the "combat" has been psychological outside of training. So I'm not sure why you find it so strange. Even more so because we all know this isn't going to wrap up with some harsh words and promises to not do it again. This isn't ending without a serious blow out in the city, so just be patient and you'll get your combat.
The title is translated as “Is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon?” purely for marketing purposes. ダンジョンに出会いを求めるのは間違っているだろうか (Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka) “Deai” means a chance encounter or fateful meeting. “Motomeru” means to seek, desire, or look for. “Machigatteiru Darou ka?” means “is it wrong?” There’s not a single word in the title for “picking up” or “girl.” “Is it wrong to seek a meeting in the dungeon?” as in a chance romantic encounter. This is the name the Japanese audience knows it by. It refers to the first episode of season one where Bell gets saved by Aiz. In the volume 1 prologue, as he was being chased by the minotaur, Bell bashed himself for having the foolish dreams of meeting someone in the dungeon but after being saved by Aiz, he concluded that it wasn’t wrong (because he met her). In Season 5 episode 8, a line was cut after Bell told Aiz he was glad he admired her: it was “It wasn’t wrong to meet you at all.”
Its way better than youre giving it credit for some of us like deeper and more layered story telling as well as intense character motivations even in more light hearted films its like classic theather
this is a problem with anime when they continue and stray away from their roots. danmachi became big because of great fight and adventuring scenes with romance in harmony unlike this dating sim season🤣
DONT WORRY BRO I TOTALLY AGREEE WITH YOU!!!!! Danmachi is literally one of my personal animes that I love. One thing that I really dont like about animes or Danmachi is the harem/All girls fall for bell cheesy minor side sub plots... Idk I feel like its good to do it here and there. Or like how you mentioned it girls/women who bell has a connection with/makes sense but the on going gag get a little redundant AT TIMES.
The reason why I fell in love with Danmachi was because of the characters, the setting, storylines, Casual encounters, Gods and goddesses, the leveling up system, how bell gets beat down only to get back up again (and yes a little bit of romance in there as well)... all this is why I like danmachi. I do understand the comedy and jokes I welcome it... but dont got overboard of course Thank you for reading if u did. P.S I like season 5 I only watched 4 episodes (because I'm watching it in dubbed) but overall its great I'm glad they slowed the season down a little to maybe only be picked up again in the later episodes, again only on season 5) P.P.S.S I did this rant because its been stuck with me since I first started watching Danmachi at first the fanservice was alright but it started getting a little overplayed apologies for the rant ;/
“Is it wrong to try to pickup girls in a dungeon” -complains when he picks up the girls in the dungeon 💀. I guess your one of the ones who decide , “it’s wrong to pickup women in a dungeon”😂
I am mostly in agreement with you. The whole "take Syr on a date" arc seems ham-fisted. Now I am going to disappoint you. I DO enjoy the "trash Isekai". But because I mostly go into them as a sword and sorcery hack and slash adventure with a side of harem romcom. Case in point is "In Another World with my Smartphone". Touya is an adventurer first who is caught up in politics and ends up with a harem as a result of that. There is SOME romantic comedy, but it is still a fantasy adventure. Makes you wonder why for season two they recast his English VA with Bell's actor. Conversely, "By the Grace of the Gods" is a slice of life Isekai that is NOT a Harem. I watch it mostly for the adventure, though that is much more laid-back than your typical power fantasy isekai. Similar story with "Killing Slimes for 300 years", which is a female reincarnate who builds a "family" rather than a harem. Then you have "My Next Life as a Villainess" which very much IS a Harem Romantic comedy with very little in the way of action-adventure. But it is Bakarina's hilariously wrong antics that drives most of the comedy. That runs counter to "World of Otomo Games is Tough for Mobs", in which most of the classic harem isekai tropes are turned on their head and deconstructed. As far as non-isekai fantasy, I also enjoyed "Banished from the Hero's Party" in large part because despite nominally being a romance, it is still a fantasy adventure story that deconstructs the classic adventuring party. I hope this gives you some thoughts on why someone like me actually enjoys trash isekai while also agreeing with your take on this derailment of Danmachi's classic formula.
Season 4, ruined Danmachi ( right after the Moss huge defeat)...they broke cannon, made shit up on fly, and basically ruined the story after that. I mean.. really folks look at dingle doof Under water with his arm ripped off, that small sequence destroyed the show...it was a children's cartoon after that, and stopped being an anime, just a cartoon.
Nah it didn't do any harm to the show... What hurt the show was the cut contents in previous seasons... Lot of character developments were cut off from the series...

Yup we have great character motivations and great theater level stakes.
Just wait for season 5 to finish😭🙏

I guess it’s just cause it’s been so different, because it’s not like it’s written bad but just more character development maybe?

They should have did oratoria season 2 in order to give more time for Danmachi to get more books out.
well season five explained why guild girl as you called her was after him
The reason is in the title...is wrong to pick up a girl in a dungeon.. sound's about right..
Not close
This is a harem genre first...so the title is just right... obviously you did not read the novel...
the 100 girlfriends is meant to be a parody, but it has actual characters, the author of the manga said, he wants to create characters that are real with real lives and problems outside of the group.
Gotta say, he nailed it 😂
the fighting is coming soon i like the litte sorta relaxed parts between so its not just constant fighting that becomes kinda old
I really love Danmachi so much.

Bell is literally me.
You are jealous bro. But I agree with the part that the series should be about the dungeon a bit more....
Why would I be jealous of 2D women 👀
This guy didn't read the title of the anime before making a super bad take video.
1/10 poor trolling.
Season 5 slice of life arc? I'm here for it!
Its not a low teir haram anime. It was just a marketing tactics. Title is the worst part of the story not to be taken seriously or used as an excuse
anime still heat tho
Gotta say the last couple of episodes is really tiring it around for me
Finally, a character with realistic motives
He just like me for real for real lol
Its way better than youre giving it credit for some of us like deeper and more layered story telling as well as intense character motivations even in more light hearted films its like classic theather
Bro your Good
Thanks dawg 🫡

man I got really bored to this anime on season 3
Yeah season 3 wasn’t my favorite but season 4 was gas
