Finn Deimne said that he was the only one who keep Ottar in place. That he is probably at sea now. So it would be interesting to this Knight of Knights. Becoming Bell's main trainer for his final fight against Asterius. Because Bell would most likely be too powerfulul for Ais to train by herself. She can still help. But the main training would left to the Unknown Level 7.
Some also say, that budget actually has very little to do with the quality of the animation and what's really important is the quality of the people actually doing the damn job and how much time they're given to do it. These same people also say that animation isn't just a machine you put more money into and thus more quality animation comes out, despite how some other people think, and these people also insist that credit be given to those people creating these animations instead.
Just imagine this scenario: Bell at his wedding with (insert whoever) and then suddenly Asterius jumps in the same way beats the sh*t out of him then says "Okay you can carry on now."

As it was animated by just 1 animator so I think it's understandable of the production. Cuz all animators in the studio gone with Railgun project instead of Danmachi. But as a LN reader I felt the same as brandon curiel that it could be more epic if the studio did a real work as one.
The part with Ais letting Wiene and Bell go was as you put it Wiene showing way more emotion than even a human ever could but I personally think Wiene severing her nails and wings more so cemented things. i heard there was another reason too and it's explained more in Sword of Oratoria. Just comes to show you can't read one without also reading the other because that sidequel series really fleshes out the Loki Familia quite a bit.

I'm actually loving the idea of this. I haven't read the LN, but this does make it feel like Bell has a chance to not only bring peace to humans, but to the monsters too, bringing all living beings together. He's not a hero if he's only fighting for one people, he's a hero when fighting for the right thing. All the other monsters in the dungeon want to reach the surface, they have feelings too, and seeing this fight with Asterius really showed that. They have a hatred for being locked away, can you blame them for wanting to fight? Asterius was different though, and showed that they can also change, can also have dreams.
i have no doubt in my mind that bells defense went up at least 100 from this fight alone. Edit: spoiler nvm i just read that he got his ass beat so much that he leveled up.

I'm sad to see danmachi come to another end, but I'm happy I'm not as alone as I was after watching season 1. Danmachi may not be in the top 100 above if all time, but it's in my personal top 3 for sure. I'm happy to see how many people like it like I do.
It’s definitely Top 100 novel wise. The anime really undersells their character growth especially Bells maturation. After reading one novel I’ve already noticed it. It’s not the major story changes but the minimal dialogues, inner monologues(mainly from Hestia about Bell at the end of each arc) etc.
So it's like how prestige works? You get reset, but your growth is faster and exponential than ever before along with extra perks. Good thing for bell, the losses he faced humbled and motivated to ever more higher peaks so this man is really about to be insane when he hits 6 or 7. Maybe even beyond that

For example Bell has higher base stats than Ais, like how he is all SS or higher in almost every stat but the reason Ais is stronger still is because the stats of her previous levels are compounding. In the raw manga of sword oratoria this scene was way more epic when asterius threw bell over a clock tower and bell stood there charging Argonaut and it's where the scene bell got lunch down inside the dungeon it was a epic moment

It's only you and the fool hero who sees her as a "little girl". The deep rooted hatred between monsters and people isn't even scratched upon in the anime. Monsters don't even kill it for sustenance. They just kill for bloodlust, that's it. If they needed to hunt humans to survive there might have been an argument to be made, but there isn't. Not for this 1000 year long bloody history. And you have Ais whom monsters are what caused her to become what she is and be in Loki Familia in the first place, her hatred for them is exceptional for what they did to her (in her backstory). Then, you have a heretic existence of sentient monsters who come and just like that an attempt is made to wipe off 1000 years of existential grudge out of nowhere? It's beyond ridiculous. You *have* to look at it from a regular human's point of view, things aren't black and white. What Wiene did was basically a rite of Passage to go through the single cruelest monster killer in all of Orario and possibly the world, Ais Wallenstein (confirmed by Ottar himself ). And she did, in a Brilliant crescendo of both streams of conflict that of humans and Xenos in what is masterful showcase of writing by the author. Read vol 10 of Sword Oratoria and get the full Ais (and Finn) POV on this whole incident. You'll eat your words.

Thanks for showing us the cut contents, it added so much depth to the story and actions Bell and others did in the anime. The S3 to me is 10/10 they did a good job adapting it, but after watching this vid I believe it couldve been more than 10 if they added more from LN.

can we appreciate our man putting the very nice light novel covers and such in all the time? ive already seen them all, but they are still very nice to look at, and not everyone would have seen them
Maybe it's cause i'm anime only but i feel like more than anything, the author proved he can write some genuinely amazing stories. I only wanted to watch something mediocre to pass time but boy was i in for a ride. Danmachi for me went from 5-6ish to solid 8. It was wonderfully paced and all the characters were somewhat well written and had believable motivations and reasons for why they acted like they did. I could resonate with them like they were actual people. And surprisingly Asterius had a really good impression on me. Basically a being that exists solely for the purpose of battle, i'm a sucker for stuff like that. Can't wait to see him and bell cross each other again. Might even buy the light novel if there's a translation. If they make a new season and give them 26 episodes to work with i'm sure it'll easily rise up in the charts.
i really suggest you to read the novel if you liked the anime, because, you will feel much better seeing all the author did at this parts, not the same inversely, because the main issue of the anime is the cut content, sure, there will always be parts cut in an adaptation, but if its too much it actually can affect it, specially since in danmachi case a lot of set up scenes and introductions were done dirty, like Nezha and Welf who were the highlights of volume 4 which was compressed in just 1 anime episode in season 1, or a lot of important progress and charcter development scenes of the rest of Hestia familia in vol 8 which where simply cut off and actually lead up to the xenos arc and the big night strategies they pull against loki familia

Do you guys remember in Astrea Records when Erebus put Ryu in a similar circumstance @6:07? When Ryu was asked to either save Asfi or the Citizens, but she couldn't decide. What Erebus wanted to see Ryu do was to do the impossible, which was basically what Bell did: creating a third option and taking action.
That one anime where it's goofy as heck title that seems not at all to take itself seriously...suddenly has epic level shonen fight scenes is something a lot of people were not expecting.
They really threw their budget to the final episode. I mean Asterius was worth it. Can a fellow novel reader remind me something? . . . . . Bell, during his ass-whooping from Asterius was still only level 3 but had his stats pushed to triple S digits because Hestia renewed his status beforehand, right? He upgraded to Level 4, as well as acquiring the Ox-Slayer thingy, only AFTER the ass-whooping, right?
No he was able to hold his own a bit however everyone was just watching bell in shock. Even the loki Familia was in shock that he was fighting. He then was launched into the floor and people surrounded him only to see him clenching his chest in pain and bleeding. Crying. He got a level up in 14 of the light novels
Not triple S digits, but just S digits and possibly SS on agility BEFORE fighting Asterios. After Asterios he got all of his stats to SS and Agility to SSS. Ox Slayer he got after becoming level 4.
Bro that fight was perfect there’s nothing you can say that wasn’t already beautifully animated. That fight was amazing best season so far really made me remember why I like this series so much.
--- It's more a "show; don't tell"-situation: "Animations" primarily are meant to be a visual storytelling, whereas novels/writings are, well, writings of descriptions. Title of this video aside, both the novel and the animated adaptations certainly do supplement each other which generally should / could be the case in general ( aside of course teh situations where the source-adaptation-materials derivate too much from each other; I am looking at you super dilution-rushed non-"Chimera Ant"-arc "HunterXHunter 2011"...). ---
This series of videos make me wish the story had been adapted more faithfully, it would had elevated the anime quite a bit; just the part of last season involving Welf's family was interesting enough, alas it was not meant to be.

I admit. I LOVE the fact the fight was only 12 hits with a FUCKING AMAZING and Shocking shot with the Hybrid style granting the understanding of the feeling, impact and hardcore introduction to the duel and I am still shook.
I rarely enjoy anime series but this show definitely exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed all of the fights and there's definitely noticeable development in the mc. I honestly expected less due to other people's opinions about the show. Then I watched the show and enjoyed it.
I think this fight was absent brilliant. The emotions, the action, the music and the animation. Everything was done very well. It would have been cool to see Asterius make the lower members of the Loki Familia cry like little school girls. To see the arrows bounce off Asterius. Along with Finn's spear. Seeing that move from 15:32 to 15:43. Even without that. I still felt the tension. Especially when Ushiwakamaru was destroyed. Still pisses me off that they just completely ignored Ushiwakamarunishiki. The second weapon made from the Minotaur horn. Because we know that Ushiwakamarunishiki was the weapon that he used in the War Game. Because Hestia gave the Hestia Knife 🔪 to Soma as payment for Lili to join her Familia. That she would buy it back with the prize money 💰. That he lost Ushiwakamarunishiki in the battle against the Ikelos Familia in Knossos. Bell plans on retrieving it someday. So I hope that in DanMachi Season 4. When Bell gets his new weapon Hakugen. Made from a Unicorn 🦄 Horn. Ushiwakamarunishiki gets at least referenced or mentioned.

Sometimes I wonder does he still love Ais anymore? No idea cause he's growing in power still very quickly but shown like 0 emotion for Ais from what I watched. Considering his growth was cause of a skill he gained from having deep feelings for Ais which gave him a huge boost in gains. Honestly I just wish they get together, No idea how they're gonna just jump the fact Season 1 was all about him loving her and reaching her and Season 2 was training just for her. So he can confess his feelings for her.

You forgot to mention how shocked Hestia was when she updated his status. Alot of abilities going up to the Double S and Triple S ranks again. Just from getting his Arse kicked by The Sword 🗡️ Princess Ais Wallenstein. Also from the Novels. Episode Ryuu and Sword 🗡️ Oratoria Volume 6. Both you can get on Memoria Freese. Ottar is only one of 2 Level Sevens in the Works. Meaning there is one more warrior out there. That can defeat Asterius. But this Unknown Level 7 lives outside of Orario. With the location also unknown. Currently no one knows what Familia it's from. No one even knows if it's a Man or a Woman.

All the other monsters in the dungeon want to reach the surface, they have feelings too, and seeing this fight with Asterius really showed that. They have a hatred for being locked away, can you blame them for wanting to fight? Asterius was different though, and showed that they can also change, can also have dreams.
i have no doubt in my mind that bells defense went up at least 100 from this fight alone.

The Xenos arc really made DanMachi top tier!
I'm sad to see danmachi come to another end, but I'm happy I'm not as alone as I was after watching season 1. Danmachi may not be in the top 100 above if all time, but it's in my personal top 3 for sure. I'm happy to see how many people like it like I do.
It’s definitely Top 100 novel wise. The anime really undersells their character growth especially Bells maturation. After reading one novel I’ve already noticed it. It’s not the major story changes but the minimal dialogues, inner monologues(mainly from Hestia about Bell at the end of each arc) etc.

For example Bell has higher base stats than Ais, like how he is all SS or higher in almost every stat but the reason Ais is stronger still is because the stats of her previous levels are compounding. So it basically allows you to continue leveling your stats

The deep rooted hatred between monsters and people isn't even scratched upon in the anime. Monsters don't even kill it for sustenance. They just kill for bloodlust, that's it. If they needed to hunt humans to survive there might have been an argument to be made, but there isn't. Not for this 1000 year long bloody history.
And you have Ais whom monsters are what caused her to become what she is and be in Loki Familia in the first place, her hatred for them is exceptional for what they did to her (in her backstory).
Then, you have a heretic existence of sentient monsters who come and just like that an attempt is made to wipe off 1000 years of existential grudge out of nowhere? It's beyond ridiculous. You *have* to look at it from a regular human's point of view, things aren't black and white.
What Wiene did was basically a rite of Passage to go through the single cruelest monster killer in all of Orario and possibly the world, Ais Wallenstein (confirmed by Ottar himself ). And she did, in a Brilliant crescendo of both streams of conflict that of humans and Xenos in what is masterful showcase of writing by the author.
Read vol 10 of Sword Oratoria and get the full Ais (and Finn) POV on this whole incident. You'll eat your words.

Thanks for showing us the cut contents, it added so much depth to the story and actions Bell and others did in the anime. The S3 to me is 10/10 they did a good job adapting it, but after watching this vid I believe it couldve been more than 10 if they added more from LN.

Ah finally....I have been waiting for this.
Maybe it's cause i'm anime only but i feel like more than anything, the author proved he can write some genuinely amazing stories. I only wanted to watch something mediocre to pass time but boy was i in for a ride. Danmachi for me went from 5-6ish to solid 8. It was wonderfully paced and all the characters were somewhat well written and had believable motivations and reasons for why they acted like they did. I could resonate with them like they were actual people.
And surprisingly Asterius had a really good impression on me. Basically a being that exists solely for the purpose of battle, i'm a sucker for stuff like that.
Can't wait to see him and bell cross each other again. Might even buy the light novel if there's a translation. If they make a new season and give them 26 episodes to work with i'm sure it'll easily rise up in the charts.
i really suggest you to read the novel if you liked the anime, because, you will feel much better seeing all the author did at this parts, not the same inversely, because the main issue of the anime is the cut content, sure, there will always be parts cut in an adaptation, but if its too much it actually can affect it, specially since in danmachi case a lot of set up scenes and introductions were done dirty, like Nezha and Welf who were the highlights of volume 4 which was compressed in just 1 anime episode in season 1, or a lot of important progress and charcter development scenes of the rest of Hestia familia in vol 8 which where simply cut off and actually lead up to the xenos arc and the big night strategies they pull against loki familia

Do you guys remember in Astrea Records when Erebus put Ryu in a similar circumstance @6:07? When Ryu was asked to either save Asfi or the Citizens, but she couldn't decide. What Erebus wanted to see Ryu do was to do the impossible, which was basically what Bell did: creating a third option and taking action.

This show is a masterpiece. I really hope season 4 is as good as the other seasons.
I rarely enjoy anime series but this show definitely exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed all of the fights and there's definitely noticeable development in the mc. I honestly expected less due to other people's opinions about the show. Then I watched the show and enjoyed it.
I think this fight was absent brilliant. The emotions, the action, the music and the animation. Everything was done very well.
It would have been cool to see Asterius make the lower members of the Loki Familia cry like little school girls. To see the arrows bounce off Asterius. Along with Finn's spear. Seeing that move from 15:32 to 15:43.
Even without that. I still felt the tension. Especially when Ushiwakamaru was destroyed.
Still pisses me off that they just completely ignored Ushiwakamarunishiki. The second weapon made from the Minotaur horn.
Because we know that Ushiwakamarunishiki was the weapon that he used in the War Game. Because Hestia gave the Hestia Knife 🔪 to Soma as payment for Lili to join her Familia. That she would buy it back with the prize money 💰.
That he lost Ushiwakamarunishiki in the battle against the Ikelos Familia in Knossos. Bell plans on retrieving it someday.
So I hope that in DanMachi Season 4. When Bell gets his new weapon Hakugen. Made from a Unicorn 🦄 Horn. Ushiwakamarunishiki gets at least referenced or mentioned.

Sometimes I wonder does he still love Ais anymore? No idea cause he's growing in power still very quickly but shown like 0 emotion for Ais from what I watched. Considering his growth was cause of a skill he gained from having deep feelings for Ais which gave him a huge boost in gains. Honestly I just wish they get together, No idea how they're gonna just jump the fact Season 1 was all about him loving her and reaching her and Season 2 was training just for her. And to just not make them fall in love with eachother would be a shame at this point. It is true there's like 5 more seasons counting the unrealeased season 4 so I hope it happeneds

In DanMachi Volume 17 he told Ryuu he rejected Syr because he has someone else he loves. Wants to catch up to her. So he can confess his feelings for her.

Did Bell's status get updated after his fight with Asterius? Surviving a beatdown like that should have made his endurance skyrocket.
