- Insurance Auto Auction had 254 cars they were auctioning off this week at their New Castle, Delaware lot. Some were busted up wrecks while others have a future being back on the road again.

The reasons those cars are there is so body shops can make a fortune fixing those wrecks. The DIY guys make it look easy because they are talented and knowledgeable. and also you remind me of the actor Lewis Skolnick a very good actor.
This should be a weekly series, love the video.
Thanks for that! I'm thinking the same exact thing.
@@hullinger we need you weekly bro 👍👍
I’m here for it love that Stamp you put ,it’s part of the show !
I subscribed in hopes of weekly series
Cool eclectic auction! Love hearing your "detective work" trying to figure out the story behind each car.
And the sound of the Caprice turning over but not starting...Ah, took me back to my first car!
I have always love this auction videos
I worked for an insurance company for a long time, they don't end up totaled unless they deserve to be. Also, I don't know about that place, but some of these auction lots play games with the keys. We did an investigation once and got a bunch of people fired because they were hiding keys, so they could sell them cheap to their friends
Ohhhh, that makes perfect sense about the keys. At other auctions I've seen fuses pulled and fuel pumps disabled to make the cars less attractive and cheaper to buy.
@@hullinger yes, it's a dirty business; but anything to do with used cars is
What do you mean "deserve to be"?
Great video Chris thank you so much i hope you have a amazing weekend from Morocco God bless you and bless all people in USA appreciate it Chris 🚘🚗
Thank you and you too! Stay safe!
You're very welcome thank you so much you too sir 🚘🚗 have a good day
Awesome tours from the bygone years. Very nice.
What a fun video! Loving that box Caprice. There's a great mix of cars in there. I've thought about playing around with insurance auctions, but I like the government auctions more.
I LOVE IT! PLEASE DO IT MORE OFTEN!
All the best !
Billy
That Porsche would a perfect fixer for
Salvage Rebuild UK!
Love these walk arounds
Very Interesting, as always Chris. Enjoy watching!!
Missed that 67 GTO at the beginning. I think there was another classic in there somewhere too. Definitely the most interesting cara I've ever seen in a yard
Yeah that was NICE! I wonder what that sold for...
Awesome video. Great to see you exploring different avenues of auctioning. Thanks for the video considering it must of been 110° outside today...
I've really been looking forward to another video and this made my Friday. Interesting collection of cars there, I'm going to have to check it out in person sometime!
Loved the videos. We want more of them
Another great video!! Would very much like to see more of these
I hate it when they sell one special car or two prior to the start of live bidding, "for an undisclosed price," out the backdoor to an undisclosed buyer. I know it happens at every single auction usually to the best two cars on the lot. Good job showing the auction.
Touch the key fab to either the start button or right side of steering column. Love these videos.
This was interesting. You should do more like this one.
Rust bucket for $5800?! That’ll be an $800 junk yard special when the bubble bursts
Hell no rust or not u still can get 5k off that
@@djhandy45555 You’d be a fool to pay $5000 for that car. It’ll take another $15-$20,000 to restore it. You can go spend $25,000 on a pristine condition, rust free Buick grand national, or Buick T type Regal, and get your moneys worth.
Great video.
Thanks man and glad you enjoyed it
Hi thanks again for another interesting enjoyable non stress non bitching video, unlike others lately. Stay safe and thanks 👍👍
That was a great walk around I like when you show different auctions the Caprice was in good condition however the Steering wheel has to go and rims and tires otherwise good looking car. Thanks Chris. 😎😎😎
Please keep doing these walk-arounds and especially the follow up on how the bidding goes.
I like the way you keep it real.👍🏾
Enjoyed the tour....sad what some people do to others (Subaru). Thanks for sharing!
Not gonna lie. I got a good laugh out of that poor Subaru because someone definitely got what they deserved. Pretty sure someone bought it just for the engine and trans, which are worth more than the $700 they paid for it.
@YouDontWannaFightMe Somebody probably cheated. That shouldn't Cost you your vehicle. Probably just a relationship.
Great video. Just goes to show you, "buyer beware!"
Exactly!
Chris a great way to create content. There are hundreds of 'tubers across the world doing auction vids. Keep them coming.
That Monte Carlo had a bunch of wood blocks holding up the seat and an empty water jug to keep it from reclining back too much :D
I remember a time when no one would look twice at a wagon. I wouldn’t mind coming in to this auction anytime you want. 🔥💯
I had an 83 Caprice wagon. What a car, kinda miss that beast.
Nice walk around!! Very interesting
Google: "Don't buy a used Audi"
Don't buy a new Audi
The “SNITCH” car 😆😆😆
Dude, that Subaru had me chuckling. It was being sold by USAA so I can only guess it was a service member who's 'significant other' strayed.
Needs paintwork along with other issues…
The only thing u do with is take the engine the rest is trash..
@@hullinger the owner of that Monte Carlo should've taken that 3800 and ran.... down here he'd gotten 2500!!!
that's about 5000 in bodywork.....at least!!!
And that roadmaster wagon should go for 1500...that's a slow project car.... you could find parts easy for it but it'll take 2 years to get it on the road...done correctly
being from down south I knew that Caprice was gone.... probably down here now....not my thing...I'm sorry but I'm still hung up on that DeSoto
@@clevelandmaker386 With that rust? I’d give it $800 if it ran.
Good job! You did wonderful, very enjoyable.
Very good vídeo Chris, congrats! It is clear your expertise in cars, love that. Keep it up! 👏👏👏👊 Edgar from Brazil
Very interesting cars
5800 is not that bad considering that car is getting to be rare and if you get a good guy that knows what he's doing or yourself and peace in the sections that you need that's rusted and you have a hoist or you can do it right on the ground and a good welder that car all cleaned up with a good paint job and especially with low miles original like that that car would bring 20 grand
I AM FROM BRAZIL AND I LOVE THIS CHANNEL, CONGRATULATIONS
Thank you so much for the kind words and thanks for following along too. Stay well in Brazil and greetings from the tiny state of Delaware in the USA.
Great video! You should bring a magnet next time, seeing how you yanks love your bondo 😂
That lot is pretty scary. Lots of really bad deals lurking. Good to see you passed.
Great job, man!
Loved it, a little more interesting than a shredded Park Police cruiser ;-)
This was awesome, thank you!!
You're so welcome and glad you enjoyed it.
Hey Chris, I like the IAA walk around! I'll watch more!
Love these type of videos keep it up !
That caprice was a Beauty
Hey Chris. Love your videos. Very informative and interesting.
The thing with the Porsche and the Audi not starting and displaying "No key identified" -- I work for Volkswagen and when that message is displayed, you need to hold the key/FOB against the right/middle part of the steering column so the vehicle can get a clear reading from the FOB. There's even a picture of a the place to hold the FOB stamped into the column that you can see at 8:49.
Just FYI for future walk-arounds.
Cheers.
Hello Michael, How are you doing? I'd like to be a friend if you dont mind.
Interesting video, would like to see some more of these from you.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. New subscriber here from Philadelphia PA
Cool Chevy with big wheels really looks Nice 👍
Love the video. That Porsche interior is fantastic.
Thanks so much Pat! 👍 And I totally agree. It was a bit overwhelming too with all of the buttons and controls. There was a whole lot going on but it was totally cool to see.
You do a better review than auto auction rebuilds
Awesome vid!!!! Thx
great vid - keep going 💪
Thanks, will do!
Hello ECC. These cars are awesome
That caprice is sure gettoed up
Very fun video really liked that last car do more of thesr
Gracias por compartir 👍 saludos
Awsome video like all of your videos... you should do a part 2 though.. lol I was itching for more.. 😀
thanks your time from liberty ky
The next time you see the vehicle message " key not found" or " key unidentified" just push the button with the key fob.
Subbed ya. Definitely something I would love to watch regularly.👍
another great video
That poor Monte SS. Ughh they were beautiful cars but you can’t find any around that aren’t junk anymore. Glad I Still have mine. But it’s garaged and has 15,000 miles on it.
$700 for that Subaru is absolutely shocking. I guess it's a testament to the wildly inflated market.
The engine is worth much more than that. I hope the person that did that is cooling her heals in lock up.
An all wheel drive car, go price a drive train for one, probably 2-3k.
that caprice was sick as in very nice
That was a lot of fun...
IAA & CoPart are dealer only in most states. You can hire a broker to bid & buy for you, but their fees make it not worth doing. That Audi was a good example of the sleaze bags who patch cars together enough to make it look like the damage isn't too bad. Then you buy it find out otherwise. If you buy at this kind of auction, stick to cars being sold by insurance companies or repossession firms. Private sellers or dealers are often trying to hide something or dump a money losing investment.
The interior of the road master is clean.
I love these videos, it's fun to daydream about buying some of these. My only complaint was at the very beginning when you said the first thing you noticed was the old Subaru burn job... and I'm thinking... nobody noticed the root beer colored pro touring custom job in the back? I couldn't quite make it out, either an old Ford or mayb Pontiac with the dual headlights sitting on 18s and the louvered hood. I'd have been all over that like Richard Simmons at an NSync concert.
I like the content. Thought the Monte Carlo was not worth the money. The Caprice was fun. A friend owned the Impala version, it was blue.
If
i enjoyed this video dude!
Ghetto fabulous @13:57
Simply... PIMPTASTIC!!!
Good video buddy take care
Is it a law that all auction cars must have a tree air freshener lol? Yes. Keep doing this type of video. Really enjoyable to watch.
Very nice Auto auction
Keep it coming bro
Enjoyed it.
The seller of the Monte Carlo SS has been watching way too much Barrett Jackson. That car isn't worth a grand in the condition it's in. The 85 Caprice has the Laundu Top and my grandfather had two of them at the same time. He bought one for himself in silver with burgundy interior and my grandmother's was white with burgundy interior. Man I love those old school Chevy's!
You have no idea wtf you are talking about.
@@Censortubes lol okay.
@@berniesoprano6980 The Monte Carlo is WELL worth $1000. Your crazy if you think it isn't. That's pocket change for that car.
@@davelowets it really isn’t worth more than a grand. The amount of body work it needs is going to be expensive and no idea what frame looks like. The body work alone is going g to run 10-15 grand done right. You could buy one in good shape for around that.
That is a massive amount of cars!.Great video!.✌️😎
Thank you
I dig the Caprice !!! 👍
You did a great job!!!!
Thanks bud and thanks for checking out the Insur. Auto Auction vid too.
Wonderful.
Many thanks!
Possibly the battery in the key fob for that white Audi could be dead, I'm no expert but was a thought. Yes that interior was very nice in that white Audi.
Great video. I enjoy the walk arounds! That Monte Carlo is priced far to high!!!!!
I totally agree!
Very cool now I’m interested
Yes, it was interesting content.
I would have liked to seen that green extra cab Ranger in the background. I liked the Monte Carlo
🔥🔥🔥🔥 CONTENT CHRIS!!!
Thanks bud and thanks for watching!
No throttle body all L69 Monte Carlo SS 180 horse 4b Carb. From 83 to 88 same motor same power. Trans in 83 turbo 350 three speed no overdrive.84 turbo 200.r4 with overdrive all had 3.73 gear's posi optional.
Damn! You walked by a really neat car in the first 50 seconds. Sitting against thr femce. Maybe an old galaxy 500.
Them GM headliners. My 94 Sunbird was pretty bad. Had to flip the visors up to keep it from touching my head.
My favorite Monte Carlo SS an I like the aero coupe too an the 1975 Monte Carlo
on the Panamera the 2 gauges on the right r water temp and fuel and the 2 on the left both have oil readings. top 1 must b trans temp and other motor oil.(or vice versa). nice car.
I subscribed, looking for more videos
This was very interesting. I would certainly watch more. Is it me or do these seem expensive for what they are? I hope you and yours are well.
yes.
So u can vin number a goggle it
@@leerespass4716 Huh??
the car shortage is making cars go way up
Good 👍🏼 Vid, very interesting and liked your commentary! If you can post in advance of your next walk through, perhaps comments from our observations can be helpful too ~ semi-interactive-like 😉🤔
Please post another similar Vid when you can. Hope you did well at auction 🙌🏼
Btw the Chevy with “11,000” miles def has more than that on it.
Look at the brake pedal. It was worn down to the metal.
It could have rolled over and have 111,000
And its not a donk lol 71-75
Great video, Chris.... hope you can do more IAA auctions in the future and perhaps even a Copart walk-a-round if you have one in your area. Keep the great vids coming!
That Subaru legacy......dear gawd!!!
