- just going over recent data over the past 30 and 90 days in terms of viewership on youtube and twitch as well as google searches... this obviously doesn't tell the full story but I think shows some trends ESPECIALLY involving how XDefiant could possibly benefit from weekly releases of things ASIDE from just 2xp such as things that spark interest and make people google search/look up videos about said content: new skins, new attachments or something new to unlock of some sort in general... mw3 did it with attachments, but I don't think that is necessarily viable long term, plus many of those things are just fluff content, so cosmetics could possibly be the answer, but something affecting gameplay and adding fun is probably always the best answer! TLDR: game isn't dead it's just in a growth state and every game tapers off in playerbase and viewership after ppl experience and get over new content and move onto whatever they are doing with their usually MINIMAL FREETIME... let's be real, life is harder than it probably ever has been for most ppl in the past 40 or 50 years, as much as technology and advancements would make you predict otherwise, we are in a more controlled and manipulated society than ever before...

No lie they need a hardcore mode because it sucks when y ou get someone dosn to 1 health and they jump and kill you lol.

Between multiple delayed launches and releasing half baked, being riddled with hit reg issues, lag, and clunky movement (in my opinion), it's no surprise that this game fell off so quickly.
Edit: I wanted it to be the next CoD Killer as much as the next guy but fact of the matter is, it's just not it.
I fear this is the tough spot the game is in where you will never get another first impression and between the release cycle and things still how they are plus a botched ranked launch from what I've seen and heard (I expected it to have issues but I hear ppl were crashing servers right as they were about to lose, ranked matches starting without full teams, the netcode/hitreg is def not ready so ranked is something i expected would be nothing but frustration... Only thing I think the game can do is prove itself over time by keeping their word in terms of giving the game continual and consistent support

Lol nope, I think it's definitely something that would be good I've also seen some other players who want and no ability mode which could be fun but prob niche

I think they hurt their first impression for a lot of ppl esp given the previous betas before launch etc, I think they have to gain faith back from the community def

I think their first impression for some has been ruined (I'm assuming for you lol) I think it didn't do justice them calling it a cod killer (I don't think the company did that) but it reminds me of cyber punk getting hyped bc it "took 10 years to make" and released as a buggy mess...I think the comparisons or hype can either draw people in or hurt something if it disappoints
@@dartlinfps My first impression is that the game is a clunky, mediocre, dated arena shooter, with lackluster map
design AT BEST.
@@williammontague84I can see how you can say that with many animations such as reload being dated and choppy looking, running sometimes looking like the character’s on a treadmill but just moving forward through space making it feel clunky, I personally like the maps but they are really simple compared to more modern games with more complex maps or just more modern design
Screw cod this is amazing a fresh new fps
I really enjoy it flaws and all I think with the attitude of the development team it can deliver something enjoyable for a long time if they keep giving good maps and improving the servers, It really scratches that itch that a lot of cod players and arcade fps players have wanted for a long time it's got the right level of simplicity and doesn't feel like a chore to play
