Retribution was probably my favorite, liked seeing the game characters together.
Great story about the prices and I agree that the cheaper the better for the set, I've only seen the first one and hmmm it was ok 🤔 but I think ill pass on seeing the rest but it's a very nice package for sure Keith 🤩🤩👍👍 hard boxes work for me everytime 👌👌
Yeah John it would be very hard for me to recommend these movies to yourself. I don't think it would be something that would interest you too much to be honest. I was always a fan of the game when I was younger and I think that's what drew me to these movies. It took over a year but thankfully I was able to get it on the cheap. I brought Resident Evil 4K collection not boxset it normal Blu-ray 4K cover with six discs, they only come with 4K ULTRA-HD discs no Blu-rays, from Amazon only for £40.
I had no idea there was a stand-alone box set for just the 4ks. Great to hear that you manage to pick it up. Thanks so much for the heads up and for checking out the video

Hey Josh yes I'm almost certain that the UK variant is the exact same in every aspect of this box set. I think you're going to love it when you finally get it my friend.
Wow they charge you guys an arm and a leg in Europe. We had this for $75 in the US and I jumped on it. It did go up to $85 and now over $100 USD but no where close to 100 Pounds... ($160+ usd). I love this set for under $100 but I think that would be my max on it. We got digitals in the US as well and they sell for $30-40 fairly regularly as well so some added value there.
That's it if I paid $85 for it I wouldn't have complained at all in this video. Well maybe I would have. I still think it's a very Shabby looking boxset and I honestly felt no guilt whatsoever by returning it. Maybe someday I might get it for cheap but I honestly don't care if I do or not
Great box set, I thought the US version had sold out a while back. Glad to see I was wrong, just picked up the US version from UK Amazon for £58 happy with that price!
Apparently it did sell out but it came back in stock. Just as well because I wouldn't have picked it up for this amazing price. £58 is a phenomenal price that even better than what I got it for. Happy Days Robert
It's 41 right now on Amazon in the US.. trying to decide if I want to get this or get the Supernatural collection for 130. Both seem like great deals!
$41 for that Resident Evil collection is an absolute steal and I would definitely consider picking that one up

This is the way I look at it. You are getting five 4k movies for 80 pounds. Yeah I think that's good value.
Nice pick up especially for that money and I agree 140 was way too much but for the ghostbusters afterlife collector's edition gift set I'll happily pay full whack looks class and thanks for another great unboxing keith

This set was sold out for over a year in the states and going for $200 on the secondary market. Maybe the prices you are seeing on Amazon are from 3rd party sellers? That would make sense if the price hasn't changed. The price you got it at was through Amazon the company, not a 3rd party seller. It is supposed to be a limited set that came back into stock late last year. Check out the Underworld 4k set if you haven't as they switched to the regular 4K plastic cases for that one. I personally don't mind the digibook feel here but it does seem like they cheaped out a bit on the cases once you see the Underworld set. Neither one are worth $80+ but they are nice compact display sets to have if you enjoy these movies for what they are.
Hey Dan. The price that I saw was directly from Amazon definitely wasn't a third party seller. It just stayed on £120 for nearly 2 years. Even now it's still that price. That's Amazon UK. So I was messing around one day and I went onto amazon.com and found it for $50. I honestly think that's a fantastic price for the set and I think it's very well made. I myself prefer the digipak option over the standard cases. I think that's what put me off buying Underworld. As for the films themselves they are what they are. A fun way to pass an hour and a half. Hey James yes all the special features are on the Blu-ray discs. It's gone up a little in price but I still think it's worth picking up. If you do pick them up please let me know your thoughts on them. Would be very interested to hear what you think

However...................................as someone who loves the game franchise
(it's my favorite game franchise of all time ;) i absolutely hate the films :(.
Personally i think they betray everything the game series stands for.
But that's just me personally. I hope you understand me resentment ;).
I haven't seen the new ones yet. As soon as theatres open back up in Holland
i'm gonna see the new film.

I completely understand what you're saying I am a huge fan of the game franchise and it's my favourite franchise of all time. The films themselves have nothing really to do with the games bar maybe apocalypse. But there was something about the movies that I always enjoyed but I completely understand where you're coming from as well.
I heard the latest one is supposed to be very faithful to the games but having said that it's supposed to be a terrible movie. We'll have to wait and see myself

And yeah, i guess Apocalypse is the one that resembles the games the most but even that movie is a mix mash between RE 2 and RE: NEMESIS.

I only really like the first film, but that's a very nice box set! UK prices for 4K are disgusting in my opinion in comparison to USA. When they have sales on, the 4K's go as low at $8 (£5)! All we get is 3 for £30 and we jump at that price and try to get as many as possible! I dunno why it's so expensive! Lionsgate 4K steelbooks sell brand new at $19.99 (£15) steelbooks in the UK are £30! Double the price! Daylight robbery. Over Xmas the Harry Potter 4K train set was selling on Amazon USA for $139.99. £249.99 over here!!! That's around $350... We all still buy them tho hahaha. Rant over haha. Great video mate
I will never fully understand why things are so expensive over here when you compare it to the States and not just the states but Amazon Germany Italy have all got very cheap 4K Blu-ray steelbooks especially when you compare them to the prices over here. That Harry Potter train edition that you were talking about you can actually buy it from Amazon Germany for €99. I was on the verge of buying it until I seen and unboxing for it and it actually put me off getting it. Especially when you have the 4K Steelbook collection already.
@@millerman9991 Yea the train set is garbage haha. Looks horrible! The steelbook edition looks great. I don't own it yet :( You have peaked my interest in Amazon Germany :) Really happy with that American Psycho box set! Loads of goodies and the Huey Lewis soundtrack was the icing on the cake :D

Yet again UK shoppers getting done over on prices, always seems we are seen as mugs by the Blu-ray retailers, so I'm glad you got it far cheaper than if you had jumped straight in for it.

There's nothing cheap about this box set Mark. The box itself is just like any Arrow Video release and don't forget it only cost $50. Not bad for 6 4k movies

I hate J cards in general. I never liked them. It's a nice box set and definitely worth the $50 it was going for. So happy to finally have it in my collection. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my video
@@millerman9991 Yeah you did well for the price - I recently did a similar thing with the Karate Kid collection - managed to get the US version for £40 rather than the £60 that the UK one is going for.

@@millerman9991 Its a nice set - the movie come in regular cases with slipcovers with a firm outer. Didn't want to spend £60 on it as already had the first movie, but £40 was more digestible

Nice boxset Keith 👌 👍 . The UK set is very expensive. I opted for the Scandinavian standard 4k set and got that for £36 last year. Yes the 4k look and sound great, still prefer the final 3 films in 3D to be honest though.
I will always remember After Life in 3D. It was one of my go to movies when it came to 3D and it's definitely one of the best out there as well. I had no idea there was another edition you could buy out there. I probably wouldn't have waited as long if I knew. Thanks Matt for checking the video out
I’m right with you Keith Iv been after that set for ages but the price was a shocker, the price you got is spot on 👌👌👌 . I like the artwork in the disc’s both inside and out ,When I tend to watch them it back to back a true popcorn pleasure set of films 👏👏👏 maybe I will head over there now to check the price 🤣🤣

Wow Keith that is a great price for the set, amazing to think how expensive it is over here especially when the Blu-ray and DVDs are stupidly cheap these days. But very nice set and I like the artwork as well, not the best films but still a lot of fun.

Hi keith, A nice looking edition and was wondering what they looked like inside, looks like a nice set. as always a very helpful video. Glad to hear the are a good upgrade. I have seen all these films and think the first is the best but to be honest I’m not mad on them but there is fun to be had.
I'm the exact same Gary I will never love these movies but there are a fun way to pass an hour and a half. They all look fantastic in 4k and the box set is presented very beautiful as well. So all in all I was quite happy picking it up

It has surprised me how expensive this box-set is and that it's been pricey for a really long time. I loved playing the games on PSX and that drew me to these movies. I'm a fan of the first two movies but after that they haven't really impressed me that much. Have not seen The Final Chapter yet but maybe one day. Still a nice addition to your collection Keith and for a good deal. 👍

That is a really nice looking edition. I've been a fan of the Resi series since the release of the first game on PlayStation. I don't think the movies are amazing, but they really are entertaining and I always enjoy watching them.
I am the exact same as you Stephen. I grew up playing the games and I was a huge fan of them and I do like the films but I don't love them.

I was wondering about the box set and how it was put together…
I noticed that the artwork is exactly the same as on the steelbooks that were released a few years ago… which i own a few of and i use now as my 4k disc cases…
I tend to do this a lot recently… putting 4k discs into my blu ray steelbooks…
Hey Gregor I had a feeling I recognised the artwork on these when I was unboxing them I just didn't realise it was in Steelbook form when I seen them. That's a very good idea to be taking the 4K discs and put them into your steelbooks. I actually know a few people that do the same. Thanks so much my friend for checking out the video
