Thanks for the tips! I'm a 15 year old that came back from winter break and all of a sudden my school slapped that test on our faces, in each practice I was doing horrible, and I really started to doubt myself, this helped a little, thank you!
This is great information. I would also add that the current test (at least the MS Office 365 test) allows you, with a single click, to copy to the clipboard any text between quotes ("") included as part of the question that is required on the exercises. Do not type the text manually, first because of the possibility of error and second, because you could mistakenly include the quotes which will invalidate the answer, even if you type the text correctly. I had at least three of these tasks and I didn't catch my mistake until the third one, so I had to go back and review all my projects to correct the mistakes. Time is very limited on the MOS tests.
Hey Mike - I think your videos and sharing your experience is better than being in the classroom. I've never had to take an exam in MSO Ever since it's inception in the military I had to learn it and teach others so this is a new experience for me to have to show by exam what I know. Thanks for all your hard work and guidance.
@@MikesOffice Your mark for review tip really helped me! I had 5-7 questions unanswered and 15 minutes to do them after. And I finished it with 2 minutes left.
I cannot thank you enough for these amazing videos. The knowledge you pass on is powerful. Your straight forward presentation takes a tremendous amount of stress away from learning.
Mike's Office it’s impossible to choose one, Mike. I believe all the advice is important to make you feel prepared for the exam. When I have a better idea what to expect and focus upon I believe I can relax and improve my ability to pass the test. The stress of the unknown has less of a chance to shut down my brain.
you prolly dont care but does someone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot my login password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Carlos Bradley thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
I wasted time on the overview!!! It was my first time testing so anxiety hit me for a bit! I didn’t complete every lesson due to the 50 minute timer which I thought was 60!! BUT, Thankfully passed my Excel 2016 exam :) Your videos were of great help as well.. Thank you! 🙏🏻☺️
ah I'm not the only one! I know what you mean about the anxiety! It feels like you can't miss any detail even in the Overview task which is just a waste of time. Congratulations on passing your Excel. I'm glad the videos were helpful! Oh! and I have to ask. The next video I will post will be about the best RUclips channels to study from. Which other RUclips channels would you recommend for studying for the MOS exam?
@@MikesOffice No Sir, I have cleared all word test, test 1 , test 2 as well. Excel basic , PowerPoint and access. For prepration of all exams, your videos are really helpful,at 31 December, university free vouchers got expired, now in September, again I will get free vouchers from university in September and attempt to clear all other expert excel exams,,, and outlook as well.
@@MikesOffice it’s the newest one. 2019 I do believe. And I am going to remember that. The buttons would have thrown me off if I didn’t watch your video. Do you have more videos to recommend?
Hi Mike: Watched this RUclips and it was great. I still was really lost in the MOS Word 2019 O365 Specialist EXPERT exam this morning even after watching the video. I know I will be able to pass this exam but I was unprepared for the format. I think it is hard to explain until you are actually in there. I am trying to find more information and practice for the Specialist EXPERT exam (MO101) and would appreciate any direction.
Did you take any classes through Certiport or another computer skills company to help prepare you for the MOS exams? Or did you do all self-study using Gmetrix projects?
Cool video! My question is, I've been out of work for 10+ years due to...reasons. :-) I'm handy on the computer overall, but haven't touched much of MS for quite a while. Do you think if I managed to earn this MOS cert that admin jobs would be easier to obtain? Not in the sense where sure, anything is better than nothing type of meaning, but more like, "oh hey, this guy is a 2019 MOS?! Hells YEAH!!! He's exactly what we're looking for!" type thing. Lastly, from zero to hero what would be your ballpark guess for the length of time it would take for a somewhat competent user to earn a 2019 MOS?
You can check out this Word 2013 tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/S8bgxSKjZ98/видео.html Download the files for that video here: www.mikesoffice.ca/youtube-mos-tutorials.html and check out the skills required on your exam like I said in this video! I hope that helps! Good luck
I would say it depends who your employer is. I helped one student who’s boss gave him a 10% increase in salary for each certificate. Although it would be cool to interview employers from various jobs and see if they value these certificates.
@@MikesOffice I don't want to add anything but one thing that I have not received the instructions for the projects you added to your official homepage. Kindly do the needful. Just waiting for your reply.
Sorry! I know this is going to sound very self-serving but whenever I post the instructions, the watchtime drops, which leads to no views which leads to this not being very sustainable. I just prefer to keep the instructions in the video. Unless you have a way that both sides win. I haven't found one.
@@MikesOffice I am sorry for forcing you to post the instructions. I will take care of the above thing you replied. I would study through your videos. Thanks!
Hey no worries! I didn't feel forced to post them and it's nice that you learn that way. I just have to find a way to post them in a eay that doesn't cause watchtime to decrease. I appreciate you for taking the time to watch and comment on these videos.
They’ll be back up again. Someone committed some false copyright strikes. But RUclips has to wait for 10 days to verify the person has been fraudulent in attempts to take down this channel. Sorry for the inconvenience. I know this is frustrating but I didn’t have a back up. Things will be back up and running soon.
HI, I appreciate all of your videos and tips. I"m wondering if you could suggest how I can take the test without having to sign up for classes and get involved with the schooling part of it? I just want to take the test and I'm not sure how to do that? I'd appreciate it.
Yeah it can be a little difficult booking an online test. I'll have to look into/make a video on how you would do that and maybe get a deal. I know some of the vouchers used to be around 140 dollars, but with the online system you might be able to get it for less....I'll ask a few colleagues and get back to you on this thread.
I think you just have to look up the specific exam, if you searched for Excel Core, it should be there. Here is the webpage: www.microsoft.com/en-us/learning/exam-77-727.aspx
It's still sort of the same setup. Nothing to different about the layout. They did improve the "overview" part. Instead of making it a separate tab, they just put it above the first task.
Hi Mike I've seen your videos and also subscribe your channel it is my request to you please do some useful vedios about network process like network protocol, OSI models etc I'm hopeful that you will pay heeds to my request thanks
Hi Rajput, I love that you subscribed, thank you! To be honest with you, I'm not sure what an OSI model is, do you know what school program would have that subject in it? Perhaps I can ask my colleagues if they know what that is and would be willing to upload a video on it.
Yes for the most part. But they have changed/removed the "overview" tab and put the "story" in the first task tab. I think they should get rid of that completely but it's an improvement. I believe that's the only difference.
