I'm a full time cashier in retail. I have not used Microsoft Excel and Word in 6 years. I had working knowledge of both and had been exposed to Access in the past. I was thinking about looking into self learning or taking online courses where I can learn word, excel, access and even outlook. I was thinking on getting certified in all 4 so that I can put those certifications on my resume and hope to get a job paying at least $50,000 a year. I'm not sure of the job path I want. I have 2 years cashier experience so far. What do you think?
Dear Certiport, I am having these confusion, please throw some light on it; 1.How many levels of MOS specialist ( Excel, Word, PP , Outlook) exam ? Is it up to level 2; ie. ASSOCIATE and EXPERT ? Then everything finishes? 2a.How to prepare for exam and to grasp deep knowledge on it say EXCEL?Self study would be enough? Which authors book are original as prescribed or produced by Microsoft especially for exam prep? 2b.If I want to have extra practice then which institute to go? Are there any specific institutions just for MOS -Associate and Expert exams? Thank you and god bless you all!!!!
I've heard we cannot use right mouse button, nor shortcut buttons. Also heard we had to click on this sequence(ribbon->button group->button command) is there any truth to it?
I am a subscriber and I cannot find the learning and practice material that you mentioned here on 8:20.I've searched on your web site as well as outside and cannot find any. I want to complete the Microsoft specialist associate
@@certiportcomms Thank you for your reply however I have been on that page. I do not see where I can select any the many options for learning and practice materials to get a cost or details about what each program offers. After going on that page where do I go next to actually see the packages and costs from the various options/institutions and the learning and practice tests options
@@certiportcommsI have passed the exam and succeeded in it, and they have sent me my certificate, but there is a mistake in my name. How can I correct it? 🙏🙏
Any news of a new revision of the exam?
Say, Microsoft Office Specialist 2022 or 2023?

if you are trying to break out of retail then yes. if you want to remain as a cashier or continue a retail possition then MOS is rarely ever used.
these certs alone will NOT garuntee a job, but it will for a fact increase your likelyhood of getting any position that "requires microsoft office."

Do you work with all ages or just high school/college students only?
