Satriani is the reason I play guitar! I heard "Surfing with the Alien" blarring from my neighbors house and couldn't help but go find out what it was, I was awestruck by what I was hearing! Well, that was late 1987 and to this day I am still playing and figuring out his music! I have 2 of his signature models and one of which (20th Anniversary Model) I have signed by Tosin Abasi,Nuno Bettencourt,Steve Vai,Yngwie Malmsteen & Zakk Wylde! I haven't met Joe yet so I can't get it clear coated until I get him to autograph it! PLEASE Joe, sign my guitar!!!!!!
Took a freshly refinished Ibanez radius body to a satriani meet and greet..he graciously signed and doodled it, and immediately recognized the model, then proceeded to explain the changes he made to make it into the js...what a night!!
Exactly! For example the BOSS DS-1 has always been part of his sound, it's reassuring to see him still rocking one and of course sounding like himself while everybody else is dissing them, BOSS knows how to make good sounding gear and Joe knows it!
