Got this book on pre-order and it's an absolute goldmine of info. Really shows you what the production pipeline is like for characters in all forms of entertainment and I love each artist's take and approach to different design challenges. I'd go so far as saying it's basically a textbook for character design, it's SO helpful and well put together!

Nice flip through! I don't know to what i should get tho, this one? Or the creating stylized characters one? Whats the difference of both books anyway ?

The stylized book is more over successful design choices while the industry one is for the best way to create simplified or appealing designs for different media’s and how to succeed in them!

@@johniescottjrrules7306 I agree. I feel like the stylized book is the part 1 to this one and dives deeper into design choice making and deals heavily with shapes like how to design a character with appealing shapes. This book to me looks like a showcase of a professional's workflow in the industry. You get the brief from the art director and then you see how artists solve that problem with behind the scenes planning stage, brainstorming, writing approach and such. Also incredibly helpful if you ask me
