I kind of like the idea of a Tzeentch cultist infiltrating a settlement just to do their taxes and keep their books so that the city can prosper
whenever i finally buy this that sound like a fantastic campaign plan lol
If the empire cant save itself, let me do it
Woo! Probably not buying this DLC anytime soon so excited to see it played.
I really want to see the changeling turn into skarsnick and say "I got schemes"
Seems like an interesting lord for coop
The Occasion calls for Janet! PS. holy crap this Lord is strong 10/10 for sure.
He's no joke!
Great to have you back covering TWW3, Janet❤
I always hire a 2nd Lord FIRST thing. It's not a huge cost for a Lord, you don't have a lot to increase %. Then you lvl up that Lord while you start, so your 2nd army has an already leveled Lord. It's really useful!
I could see Raider's Bounty being better against poorer factions (Norsca / Tomb Kings).
i understand why older strategy games and rts games just manipulated stats and resource rates to increase difficulty as moding AI was a lot harder to do but i am so happy they splitt them now its a really boring way to increase difficulty and just makes less strategies work.
also super cool that you can play the narrative to the immortal empires and they really should move stuff over if possible.
Totally agree! Stat increases are sooo boring!
I'm hoping they move over most narrative campaigns over to IE, too. I'm sure it would be a staggering amount of work but so were most of the big reworks in WH2 so I'm crossing my fingers :P
You sound a little bit like a young version og Charles Dance, which is NOT ment as an insult. Charles Dance is just awesome. 😊
Awesome, a new campaign. I'm ready for it. Let's go.
It appears to me that you would want to use parasitic buildings in high conflict areas or when you are just starting to conquer and area then change them over to symbiotic builds as the region stabilizes.
Man, that picture at 20:07 ... it's triggering me, because it looks for me like that plague doctor - gangster paradise meme
What a brilliant sandbox DLC! Really enjoying this Janet, thank you
_"You know, I'm something of a wizard, myself.."_
Can you conferderate??? So i can still get the strong part of kairos faction, kairos himself
Or does it not work since he has teretory???
Great, another character for Karl Franz to deal with.
Great campaign!
Faction looks awesome fun!
I think it's the perfect campaign to learn the game
Very exicited for this Letsplay.
Not sure if I will buy this DLC for this price. (I usually preordered every Warhammer DLC but now I will wait for more reviews beeing published)
But the Changeling really does seem interesting.
Oh the reviews will be glowing, as everythkng Shows is top tier and changes faar more then the normal lord mechanics, for al 3 lords, so its definitly worth 20$, not 25 tho...
I feel like the shapeshifting thing could've been way better done with the changeling. Obviously the campaign i great, but we totally miss out on him masquing as other factions on the map.
What happen if someone attack and capture a fief where you have a cult? does it get destroyed?
So playing the faction narrative. Can it be toggled on/off in the settings or is it now baked into IE?
Its baked in, atleadt there is no option in setings to turn it out, you can ofcours ignore it, but the Boni ...
I see literally no reason to turn it off. The changeling can't conquer territory so there's little else to do. Story or not, it's still a sandbox so you can do whatever you want :)
wohoo!
how do you play it early?
Whoohoo
Are you accepting costume armies?
GG
Janeeeet ❤
woooooooooolf
@@JanetOnOccasion missed you buddy, love your changeling series and will watch it all diligently my friend
Changeling looks really fun, but not getting the DLC. Gotta show CA that this shit wont fly
CA has done such a horrible job with the game lately =(
I am worried that you may not like this campaign...
I'm assuming this is sarcasm
If the cult persists after a settlement is razed, can you attack a settlement twice, first to set up a cult and then to raze it? (it doesnt make sense for the symbiotic built though)
Hooray! The Changeling.... OR IS IT?! Yes, yes it is.
I love that there's Schemes for the non-RoC regions, I was worried they might have skipped those. Really glad you showed them off.
Dude the changeling seems like the ultimate coop partner.
I do get a kick out of the idea that you get to garden the factions. Weed out you, grow you up, it would be a shame if you get flooded.
That 10% Replenishment is actually kinda huge since one of Kairos' biggest early game issues is his lacking replenishment. It was always annoying to deal with. THough iun fairness, he's so op that you don't really need an army.
Good to see you back where you belong. I will probably play The Changeling first as well. I'd like to see a Slaanesh and Nurgle sub faction that operates similar to this, spreading corruption insidiously rather than simple conquest or destruction (like other Horde type armies). Curious to see how a Slaanesh cult interacts with a Tzeentch cult in the same city though. How about toss in a Skaven Undercity as well? Or a Pirate Cove? Does a Tzeentch cult get the revenue from either of these as well as the poor bastards who actually think they own their own city? How deep does it go?
How deep does it literly go??? Cant you have multibil undercitys (from multibil factions) in the same City???
@@theonesithtorulethemall That's my question because each of these other hidden bases also inflict corruption - Slaanesh, Skaven and Undead, it is going to make it tough for The Changeling to achieve some of his victory conditions if he can't 100 corrupt the area to Tzeentch because of the others all cancelling each other out.
Oh by the way Janet you have Vanguard performace for your army (turing you into Vlad) when you got the ability 1000 faces. Nice
@@theonesithtorulethemall This is what I am asking. Playing a Slaanesh campaign when I put a cultist coven into a city I don't see a Pirate Cove or a Skaven (I tested this on the cities in Tilea which are likely to have one or both). Now its not so much you can't have all of them its The Changeling's victory conditions where he has to have say 75% Tzeentch Corruption in a city. If he has a Skaven under city and a Slaanesh cultist in the same province and say a Vampire hero all putting in their corruption The Changeling is never going to achieve it. They are all cancelling each other out or at least that what I am assuming . llt have to test that theory when the DLC comes out.
It occurred to me as well that The Changeling is the one faction that cannot be wiped out. He has no base. As long as say the AI sits his army in a province that has a cultist coven in a town he is invisible and can rebuild. As long as at least one coven is also undetectable it can never be discovered and destroyed. So he cannot be totally defeated like every other faction. There will always be a presence which is unseen and unknown where a new army and The Changeling can respawn and even that won't be seen until he total rebuilds and starts all over again. The true essence of Chaos - It can never be totally wiped out. I like that.
@@davidwhitfield6025 those other types of cult/undercity/cove can each be gotten rid of by razing the settlement, the Changeling is the exception there (well, I guess Oxyotl's secret sanctums also remain when a settlement is razed... but those at least don't spread corruption).
in the case of the Skaven (and probably the Changeling too) the AI is also really bad at keeping discoverability low, while being quite good at getting rid of discovered undercities/cults so Skaven Undercities don't tend to last long.
one thing that should help the Changeling a bit is that when the Changeling spreads high Tzeentch corruption to an area that should give Kairos a regular Tzeentch cult there.
Change is the only constant.
The Cangeling is the embodiment of mischief and I love how his mechanics emulate that. it's going to be so much fun playing him myself.
Yay Janet ❤ you're the first
CONSOOOOM
Most cool hero in warhammer
its really cool that you can do the narrative campaign on the big map with these new lords
I agree!
Your voice is incredibly beautiful!
So excited to use Mama kislev
Thanks for the video
Do the tomb lord!!!
I love the image of the Changling booking it away from the angry mob with all the treasure lol.
First time I recall watching your video, very enjoyable.
It's just nice to come back in a new Campaign of yours....😎👍
good to see you back jannet. still hoping you finish choasgate dlc sometime
I might start a new campaign one day but I'm never going back to that past campaign. It's been 6 months. It is dead.
@@JanetOnOccasion thats good to know. it would be really nice for you to start over as i know you didnt enjoy the first walkthrough and you did get really far in in it so completing it would be really good and the og choasgate campaign is defo one of your best series so hopefully you do replay it soon
The Changeling’s campaign looks so free and fun! Is it just me, or does he not have access to manipulating the winds of magic or the unholy manifestations that Kairos has?
He does not appear to, which is a fair tradeoff in my opinion.
@@mguy5923 Agreed, it’s probably a fair tradeoff. The Changeling actually doesn’t have any buildings that benefit or suffer depending on local winds of magic, so he really has no need to manipulate the winds.
The Changeling seems to have better tools for spreading Tzeentch corruption than Kairos, so I think it’s pretty ironic that he doesn’t have the unholy manifestations 😂
the winds of magic manipulation always required that you own at least 1 settlement in the province where you were manipulating the winds. the Changeling can't own settlements so the mechanic would be useless to him, so it was excluded.
@@Eclipsed_Embers Yes, you are correct. Although they could have changed it so that it worked if you had a cult or Trickster Cult in the region. That would make thematic sense.
But mechanically his buildings don't benefit from higher winds of magic level, so it wouldn't matter a huge amount to him, with the way they've done his buildings.
Janet, I was hoping that you would pick this one, great fun ahead!
