- A JBL Flip 6 Bluetooth speaker unboxing, review and sound test. This is the JBL Flip 6 Martin Garrix edition. This is an unboxing, review and full sound test of this popular Bluetooth speaker. I'm not saying this is the best Bluetooth speaker of 2023, but it's very good for the money, especially when this relatively small speaker has two separate speakers, the 20 watt woofer and the 10 watt tweeter and that incredible Martin Garrix design!

This particular review is for the JBL Martin Garrix Flip 6 where I also give it a thorough sound test.
If you're looking for a decent quality, great sounding Bluetooth speaker at an affordable price then the JBL Flip 6 is a great buy! This small Bluetooth speaker has 30 watts of power as well as being waterproof which we'll be testing very soon!

When flip 7 is coming?
Is the sound quality different? Or just same old setup as the original
That's a good question! I'm not entirely sure to be honest as I don't have the original version. I've looked on the jbl website for answers but nothing obvious there. Seems to be the only difference is the outside design. I've noticed a significant difference in all these speakers by changing their settings to personal preferences in the app 👌
Is there anything better for the money? Will I regret getting this one?

Which is better in bass and sound quality?jbl flip 5 and 6
Haven't got a flip 5 so not sure. I'm guessing the flip 6 though tbh. It's really good for its relatively small size 👌

I can't say what you will or won't regret as everyone has different preferences, opinions and priorities. And as far as price is concerned, I think everything is well overpriced nowadays, and 120 quid is a lot of money to some people, but very little to others. No I don't think it's worth the money tbh, but it has a great sound for it's size. If you've already got the flip 5 why bother spending more to get this? Up to you though really and what you want and can afford. Hope that helps.
Which is better between flip 6 vs horizon 2 in terms of sound?
I'd have to say the flip 6, but the horizon 2 is pretty dam good, and it's a clock radio. They really are two completely different things entirely. The Flip 6 is a portable speaker, but the horizon 2 is a bedroom clock radio with 2 alarms and a great sound too but it's not portable. It needs to be plugged in, so it's an unfair comparison really. But the flip 6 has a slightly better sound I'd say.

Does it make enough noise?
Depends on your definition of 'enough noise' and where you play it? For me, the flip 6 is better than all the small portable speakers, including the charge 5 and even the xtreme 4, in terms of sound balance and quality, and also power for it's size. That's all I can really say tbh. I'm going to be doing a sound test between the flip 6 and charge 5 in a week or more, if that helps.
Anyone know which Bluetooth codecs this uses?
Tbh a bit beyond my technical knowledge. I've looked on jbl website and doesn't mention Bluetooth codecs but does list Bluetooth profiles and other stuff. You could try asking them in the chat on the website at jbl.com, I'm sure you'll get the information you need 🤞

SBC via BT 5.1. SBC crap is tens of years old, but a better codec would not benefit this particular speaker. The sad part is they use SBC with more expensive speakers.

@@hellraiser-666 yea its weird but i guess maybe cheaper to use that codec. Soundcore x600 use ldac which is apparently a pretty good speaker.
