I saw your show on FloMarching before I met up with the Sacramento Mandarins at McKinney. Then I was able to see them live in Atlanta! It was fun sitting with Eric when he saw the show for the first time in Indy! (You got rained out in Allentown, just like the Mandarins!)

I had a chance to march Bushwackers this season as a fill in for an immediate trumpet opening, but my parents told me no so i sadly wasnt able too. I’ll probably be disappointed about that for a long time.

Santa Clara Vanguard and Tri Cities Colombian sounded so good from those clips i might need to watch their whole shows, and Boston Crusaders them looked cool

Let's just say I knew it was going to be something special. And it certainly was.

@@willquarles4033 don't be afraid to take things so unbearably slow, like no joke take all the audition stuff at 50% tempo max when you first start and only bump it up one click at a time and only if you can absolutely play it perfectly at that tempo, pay good attention to your sound quality, staying relaxed, etc. If you want to make it anywhere, DO NOT settle for anything that's not your absolute best. And don't let the other things go too, pay attention to your posture through your practice sessions, and don't neglect practicing marching on its own and marching with the playing. Get creative, lay out garden hoses or something for make shift yardlines. If you really REALLY want to go march somewhere, not specifically Bushwackers, but anywhere, you need to do your utmost to not just make it, but strive to be the best one there while still maintaining humility of course. Come up with different variations of your exercises, use the exercises as primers to execute the show music to your best. Make your own exercises for the exercises. If there's a will there's a way. Last thing, and the most important one, you gotta practice every day. The brain has a 24-48 hour window of actually retaining anything you work on to the highest quality. No joke 15 minutes a day every day is far more beneficial to improvement than nothing for 3 days and then one 8 hour practice session and another day or two of nothing. Hope this guides you in the right direction and good luck!
As someone who marched bush this past season, YES! It’s an awesome corps with great culture and excellent staff. I can’t talk much about the other sections as much, but hornline all of our staff is awesome. They pushed us hard to be the best we could be every weekend, but didn’t forget to have a little bit of fun. One of the best marching experiences I’ve had 💙🩷
Good morning! This is video 431 of me asking for a drumline gym made out of various marching percussion instruments, such as the tenor barbell, and bass drumbbells.
For the mosaic show, the props were the same props I used in my Marching Band show. After Madison Scouts was done with their show, they gave us their props and we redesigned them for our show.
I actually know a guy in Reading Buccaneers, happy to know he won world champs. Also, my favorite show was definitely Madison Scouts. Seeing them at DCI Allentown was amazing.

I think my favorite World Class was Phantom Regiment. Open Class has to be The Battalion and Columbians! All-Age Class (A/O/W), Cincinnati Tradition! US Marine Drum and Bugle Corps drumline busted out a McNutt Special during their show. Loved it.
Phantom really turned some heads this season. So did Pacific Crest (next year they will be in finals.) Music city always puts out an entertaining program.
So funny story: I did a two day sorta-beginner drum corps type thing. It definitely was not for me, but we got to play in front of people, and also saw a couple of the corps you put on this list. Like the troopers and the blue stars! It was neat!
This is an awesome video idea! And I know you've done it in past years as well. It would be cool if you did something like this as like, a finals week preview. I feel like I would have enjoyed these shows a lot more if I knew more about each idea. And yes, I could go and do The research myself. But I am a combination of too lazy and too busy. 😂😂
Just want to give a shout out to PC crew for killing it. Was a part of the corps in 2019 when we topped the highest score then and placed 14th. But it's sad to see them cut the cymbal line while everyone's been phasing them out.

Someone had a very interesting idea from On The Bash Hash podcast that Boston was glitching in and out of other Corps styles or signatures the entire show.

I thought the cavaliers show was about the beauty of nature taking over materialistic society, the people turning the metallic armor (city/machine/robotic) green was nature taking over, the red thing meant the society bleeding and what used to be the faces were weather maps showing the storm taking over.
The Cavaliers nicknamed the giant faces "Giga Chads". Also, if you look closely at the revised artwork when pushed together, it forms a giant pair of eyes.
Regarding the devil as a guitar rather than fiddle player (from Troopers' show), look up the 1986 film "Crossroads" starring Ralph Macchio with a story loosely inspired by the legends surrounding Robert Johnson and with music by Ry Cooder.
If you weren't already aware of it, the Troopers' guitar player is contract and 15 years old.
