Hi thank you for the information! I will be in Osaka next week, and Kyoto the week after. Is there any hope to see the cherry blossoms then? If yes, could you please suggest a few spots where I could view them? Thank you!

      You are very welcome!
The normal viewing period for cherry blossoms in Kyoto City is from late March to mid-April. According to the Japan Weather Association, in 2023, cherry blossoms in Kyoto City are expected to bloom on Wednesday, March 22, four days earlier than normal, and be in full bloom on Thursday, March 30, five days earlier than normal.
Kiyomizudera (temple) is famous for cherry trees. www.kiyomizudera.or.jp/ However, you can see cherry trees all over Kyoto and Osaka during that period.

It took about an hour due to traffic congestion. If you would like to save time, take the JR line from Saga-Arashiyama Station to Kyoto Station and ten minutes walk will take you to Keihan Shichijo Station. From there Gion-shijo Station is two stations further. This route takes less than half an hour.

Hello! In Kansai, the Hankyu, Keihan, Hanshin and Sanyo railway companies do not require express fares. This means that both limited express and other fares are the same. Therefore, when purchasing a ticket, there is no option for train types such as local, rapid or limited express. If you have any further questions, please feel free to comment.

    • @Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan

Hi! I think the Keihan line is better. First of all, follow the route the video down below shows. Then, Kiyomizudera, Hokanji and Yasaka dori will be covered since they are located near Kiyomizugojo Station.
      ruclips.net/video/TK1WLNsmJxQ/видео.html
After visiting them, take the Keihan line from Kiyomizugojo Station to Fushimiinari Station. Note that Keihan Ltd. Exp. does not stop at Fushimiinari Station.
To get to Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, head to JR Inari Station, which is in the vicinity of Fushimi Inari Shrine and purchase a ticket to Saga-Arashiyama Station (240 JPY). The train will take you to Kyoto Station. At Kyoto Station, transfer to JR Sagano Line (Platform #32 or #33). From Saga-Arashiyama Station to Bamboo grove, follow the route the link below shows.

Yes. It's true, so few people use shinkansen to travel from Shin-osaka to Kyoto since the distance between Shin-Osaka and Kyoto is too short to use the Shinkansen. In addition, there are several less expensive and fast ways such as the Keihan, Hankyu and JR lines.

You can rent a wifi at the shop located on the same floor as the international arrivals. You can't miss it.

You are very welcome. Namba or Umeda is recommended. Both are adjacent to railroad terminal stations, so it is easy to move to various places. That is why my videos often start from Namba station.

Hi shiba san may i know the famous bamboo forest you need to get down in saga arashiyama or arashiyama (hankyu line ) ?

Thank you for your comment. Both stations are convenient to get there. Saga-Arashiyama Station is closer, but from Hankyu Arashiyama Station, you can cross the beautiful biride called Togetsukyo to reach the bamboo grove.

Hello Shiba-san! It's me again. Just want to know your top 3 sites that I must visit in Kyoto. I have a companion who could not walk for long distances so I want to know your thought about those places that are not far from each other. Again, I stayed near to Ebisucho station in Namba minami, what train line should I take going to Kyoto? TIA!

@@Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan hello Shiba. Glad you have provided this route. Gonna try this if we have time. On the other hand, we're planning just to take the sightseeing train from Osaka to Kyoto and then just explore the Train museum in Kyoto and the imperial palace if the stairs are not that high 😀. Thank you again.
