According to the Japan Weather Association, in 2023, cherry blossoms in Kyoto City are expected to bloom on Wednesday, March 22, four days earlier than normal, and be in full bloom on Thursday, March 30, five days earlier than normal. Kiyomizudera (temple) is famous for cherry trees. www.kiyomizudera.or.jp/ However, you can see cherry trees all over Kyoto and Osaka during that period.

If you would like to save time, take the JR line from Saga-Arashiyama Station to Kyoto Station and ten minutes walk will take you to Keihan Shichijo Station. Hi! I think the Keihan line is better. First of all, follow the route the video down below shows. Then, Kiyomizudera, Hokanji and Yasaka dori will be covered since they are located near Kiyomizugojo Station.

After visiting them, take the Keihan line from Kiyomizugojo Station to Fushimiinari Station. Note that Keihan Ltd. Exp. does not stop at Fushimiinari Station.
To get to Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, head to JR Inari Station, which is in the vicinity of Fushimi Inari Shrine and purchase a ticket to Saga-Arashiyama Station (240 JPY). The train will take you to Kyoto Station. At Kyoto Station, transfer to JR Sagano Line (Platform #32 or #33). From Saga-Arashiyama Station to Bamboo grove, follow the route the link below shows.

Thank you for your comment. Both stations are convenient to get there. Saga-Arashiyama Station is closer, but from Hankyu Arashiyama Station, you can cross the beautiful biride called Togetsukyo to reach the bamboo grove.
