The shuttle buses are the most popular and easiest option to get from Hohenschwangau up to Neuschwanstein Castle.
The walk uphill from Hohenschwangau up to Neuschwanstein Castle is 1.5km and takes approximately twenty five minutes
The famous and iconic picture postcard view of Neuschwanstein Castle is taken from Marienbrücke (Mary’s Bridge) and it was the place I was most excited about seeing in person.
