Thanks Gareth. It took half a mackerel (head end) which was my attempt to keep the doggies off it long enough for a ray to find the bait.

Hi ...I mostly use frozen bait for convenience. I get this from three main places...online at Baits r Us, from Bonners in New Brighton or the Shack in Leasowe.
