  • This video will help you understand the Concept of Weighted Distribution & Numeric Distribution.
Numeric Distribution is an important sales metric in FMCG that denotes the distribution reach of the company in the retail network. Numeric Distribution can help you identify the gaps and fulfil those unordered outlets through your Field Sales Executive.
Weighted Distribution indicates whether our products are available in the right outlets or not. In this video, I have taken an example of the Baby Care Category. Using Weighted Distribution, I can identify high throughput outlets in the Category "Baby Care" where we are not present or marginally present, and using SFA we can fill those gaps and ultimately attain the market coverage.
I have also covered another interesting concept "Share Among Handlers" - SAH, that provide the proportion of sales as compared to the total category sale of that Outlet.
