Olympic National Park was founded in 1938 and is located in the western part of the US state of Washington on the Olympic Peninsula. Since 1976 the national park has also been designated as a UNESCO biosphere reserve. In 1981 UNESCO declared it a World Heritage Site. Since the national park is located on a remote peninsula, some animal and plant species have developed here that can only be found here in the park. For this reason, the park is a popular research area for biologists and zoologists.
The national park consists of two separate parts. The coastline is very rugged and often shrouded in fog. Inland, the forest connects directly to the beaches, which often leads to fallen tree trunks lying across the beach. The core area of the park is the mountainous region around the Olympic Mountains, which is covered by many ancient glaciers. To the west of it are temperate rainforest up to the park boundary, here lies the wettest point in the contiguous United States.

I’ve been there and it is the epitome of what one imagines the Pacific Northwest to be. Truly magical in a very rugged, craggy sort of way.

As someone from Western Australia I am awed by the scenery and wild life. Its not a place I will ever get to. I hope the folk of USA appreciate the beauty they have on their doorstep and I am glad that most of mankind cannot reach these fantastically stunning areas, thanks for the doco 10 out of 10!!!
As someone who lives here, sadly human interaction has already damaged the areas. They just don't show that. It's a beautiful place, but it's gotten sick
I live in Seattle Washington state the state you just watched.
@@kiraalexander2394 true, I live in Seattle and I see how people trash Puget sound and the rest of the state where nature should be saved.
We do, but you have some amazing animals in Australia also😊

Can’t believe I get to look at these mountains through my living room window. Was at Port Angeles a few years ago and got to watch salmon out in the harbor rocket just under the surface, sending up big splashing wakes as they preyed upon herring.
Proved of a creator all those amazing creatures and landscape
Wonderful, amazing creative things

Grew up at the gateway to the Olympics, spent a fair bit of time enjoying hiking fishing and hunting there and other Washington State places. I miss it but grew weary of the winters . I really enjoyed this Documentary immensely. Ty for posting it.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to stop by and comment. Nice 😊
For a nature lover like me, this channel gives me a relax, happy and enjoying moment of life whenever i watches it.
So rite.. lol. An hour yes very worthy.
This was intense and laid back 😍 Thank You for this wonderful moment in nature and time!
That's how they roll in Olympic Natl Park. I'm lucky to live in WA and have explored the area a lot -it's as incredible as it looks.

Cascadia is home to a diverse array of wildlife, where magnificent creatures roam freely.
Yes they do. I've seen many up close😊❤️😊
I appreciate these documentaries,I have watched many but when you had cascadia in the title, man this really brought back memories,I was born in Seattle,WA,..and when my parents divorced,My father moved to the Olympic peninsula,He worked for the Department of transportation, and I would go with him early in the morning to plow the roads in winter during heavy snow we would travel allow over the peninsula from Forks to sequim,..all the way up to hurricane ridge,...he really loved it there and took my sister and I all over that amazing corner of our country, brings back memories,I sure do miss Him... thanks...
I am from Chicagoland and live in Nashville, TN now. My aunt lived in Sequim for some time and my sister and I visited her, and we also spent a full day at Olympic National Park and one full day at Mt. Rainier on our Sister Seattle Spree, which is what we named our vacation. We didn't make it to Cascades National Park, nor Mt. St. Helens, although we did go to the first two San Juan islands (the ones accessible by car) and to Mt. Washington (I think that is what it is called, 4 mile gravel road on the Olympic peninsula), as well as seeing the sites in Seattle and Tacoma.
@@TheJillybean13hi jellybean! I am a Nashville resident also! I've never made it to any of those places but hope to some day
Of course auto correct changed it from jolly to ☺
Oh me. Never mind 😊
I think it's so amasing to know how people can sit and watch animal life like that to document it on film. Such patience
*life is very short to have negative thoughts...be positive! Love each other 🤩*
We can never say that enough!! Peace be upon you! 🐾👍😁☄🕊❤
The river otters just living their best life…even twerking a bit. 😂

Sea otters
This documentary belongs on NatGeo!! Thank you for this
Our pleasure!
Stunning photography and such amazing diverse ecology system to marvel at.
One thing I’d say when visiting is to count on rain even in summer. Hiking with a hood on can be stifling and make it more difficult to take it in. Hence why there is the hat called the Seattle Sombrero. Something like that and/or a good quality backcountry umbrella (not for high winds that you can get at elevation) can greatly enhance your enjoyment when it is raining.
You tube documentaries are great and we do truly appreciate the effort you put in to show us all these great programmes you make for our viewing.
Thank goodness the rugged, unnavigable coastline prevents condos, ski mobiles and other disruptive intrusions to assure a pristine park for many years. (hopefully) I feel so lucky to live in WA state where I visit the Olympic Peninsula often.
Absolutely stunning scenery, animals and landscape. Thanks for sharing this beautiful documentary. 🙏✌
Brilliant efforts by All who contributed for this nature's treasure...
These are gorgeous, I love nature it's so beautiful but mainly the ocean because it's so gorgeous there's so much in the Ocean!!❤️
Wow! The camera footage is really crisp and close up. Especially underwater.
Otter scent marking dances are some of my favorite things.
I am 41 years old I have seen the beach/ocean maybe 5x in my life Myrtle Beach (twice) Boca Raton FL and Kensington beach in New Jersey I hope I can one day see parts of the world I know I probably never will. this is probably the closest I will get but my goodness this is amazing!!!!! I remember crying when stepping off the plane in salt lake City Utah Lol
They are the connection to the crystalline grid, MOST HIGH, MOST SACRED. 🐳🐬🙏🙏🌊Thank You for sharing such benevolent beauty. There purpose is PROFOUND. May we always honor them & ourselves. Namaste!

I lived and surfed in New zealand in Raglan, where Orcas came every year to feed on giant stingrays. They never bothered us surfers, and when it broke double or triple overhead, they would catch the waves into the harbour on the high tide, and would go out with the tide. It was magnificent!!
Quanta meraviglia la natura,la montagna 🗻💙💚🧡💛🤎😻🤗👍👍📽️🥰

Very glad to see the video on the 1st day of upload.
At 24.58 that little chipmunk to the right. We have those exact ones in Ct.I feed them every summer. I did research on them and there supposedly only found In Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Eastern New York State...but clearly im seeing one here in Washington State?... Oh well.I love there markings and there very trusting. I feed them Peanuts when they come out from partial hibernation in mid to late May.they slow there heart rates in there Burrows during the winter and if we get a very warm day in say early April they'll come out of the Burrow for some nice sunshine. There a very interesting creature and extremely territorial.

I absolutely hate that orca are portrayed as ruthless killing machines! There are various varieties of orca. Most of which are salmon eaters! As for apex predators THAT IS US HUMANS! And nobody knows where the transient orca’s range is. The transient population in this area are referred to a Bigg’s. And if you think I’m over reacting look closely at the way the bears are portrayed. Because they eat salmon, your tone changed, as did the music! The bears a looked at almost as Teddy Bears! Not fair folks!
@@TatianaPANFILOV-ud9zg why did you cut and paste my comment as yours?
They are still wild and can be dangerous and that's okay
It’s reality and that fine. It’s not Disney movie.
Hopefully after 2 years you’ve come to realize you couldn’t be further from the truth. Humans have realized we know next to nothing about killer whales. For example why do killer whales play with their food? Throwing seals 50+ feet in the air for what? Killing great white sharks just to eat their livers and leave the rest of the kill.
Orcas are smart and have a conscience like us. People need to remember that.
Mashallah 🥰🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🥰
Tq very much you already share your Adventure World of the Sea. 🙏👍🌹
I got to see a pod hunting near Kuiu island, AK. We couldn't tell what they were hitting because they're often shy and leave when boats arrive. I'm not saying all orca flee boats, but these pods do. Seeing them in the wild is nothing like at an ocean park and it kills me that we take and confine beings that are capable of self awareness, generational knowledge keeping, and a communication ability that is basically ESP. When needed for study, it would be far more humane to harvest them as mercifully as possible, and in as small a number as possible. If for no other reason, the wellbeing of our oceans, thus the planet, would be greatly imperilled by losing THE apex predator.
please send me good energy, i am taking care of my parents and siblings and i’m not sure how long i can keep doing it
Absolutely stunning and beautiful documentary! Thank you for sharing!
I backpacked up the Hoh River to the Blue Glacier then along the coast in 1984. The only wildlife I saw was a racoon and her babies on the coast.
