  • 2002 XR100R Wife Taking it to the Street. My wife and I go on a ride together around town. This is our first motovlog together since I made her dirt bike street legal. I'm riding my 2003 Suzuki GSX600 that I completely rebuilt after discovering it had been wrecked. Check out the full builds for both bikes in the playlists.

    TOTAL COST of EVERYTHING ABOVE- $533.90
    I did not use the mirror or the hydraulic brake switch that came with the Tusk kit. You can get the price just under $300.00 if you keep your original stator and don’t add the voltage regulator. You would need to use the mirror that came with the Tusk kit and don't purchase the flywheel puller. You would need to buy the Tusk Enduro Kit that has the surface mount front blinkers rather than the kit with the integrated handguards.

    Awesome build. Bike looks beautiful. Hope mine will turn out half that nice when I'm done. 👍👍

      Thank you very much! It was a LOT of fun building this. It's just as nice as any new bike (in my opinion) but at the fraction of the cost, which makes me like it even more. I think one of the rings might be stuck or the valve seals might be dried out because it smokes a little. The motor has never been freshened up so I bought an OEM Honda top end kit to freshen it up this winter. It should last a lifetime now.

    Nice ride, your wife looked comfortable and that engine sounded sweet when it was opened up.

      She really likes the small size of this bike! The first time she ever rode I was immediately impressed with her balance.

      Thanks for watching man. My wife has over 200 miles on it as of right now. We have some rural areas where the roads are 45mph so if you have to drive at those speeds i would reccomend going with 15/36 gearing. The rear sprocket is 38 in this video. 36 will get you some more top end and still have enough power to do a power wheelie.

    I have the same year, converted to dual back in 2002, and120cc bike for my wife. I need to put better suspension and disc brakes after I did as much as possible with lower weighted springs. She is ready for more hp also and we are reaching the limits with this size bike. Great content for me!

      Thanks man! These bikes are a ton of fun and not that expensive to work on. Lately ive been frying batteries because i guess i need a special regulator for a lithium battery. Its something im going to have to sort out soon

    Hello Brandon, well done! Rear running/brake light is nice and visible from what I can see. Your wife's excitement is what makes all your efforts worth it! Her ridding skills are excellent. One thing I would have done differently is hot coffee rather than ice cream :-). Much respect to you and family!

      @Breeze Rides thanks man! She is really enjoying it for sure! I was immediately impressed with her low speed balance, as far as the coffee, we both love it too lol...I actually always get coffee ice cream lol 😉

    Hey Brandon that was awesome I would like to do that to my xr100 and you can also put a 120 kit in it and that'll give her more top end speed

      I might just do that this winter. Thanks man!

      @Hal Brookins thanks man! I have the actual fabrication video over on my welding channel ruclips.net/video/XzVAUdPcHY4/видео.html and the video of the installed final results with sound tests are going to be out this week. The results will be on this channel once I'm done editing the video.

    This is pretty awesome. Does it still handle the dirt with the new gearing?

    • @MotoVated207
      @MotoVated207  11 месяцев назад

      It does no problem. First gear now actually acts like it should. Before it was almost not useful. It does struggle a little as you go up a few gears but woods riding is awesome.

      I just tried a 15 tooth front in place of the 14 tooth and the gearing with the 38 I feel is perfect now! The bike still has plenty of torque but the rpms aren't so buzzy at cruising speeds.
