Theres also plenty saddest moment in Pokémon.
But that moment when you fight professor Sada/Turo with that music. You have the adrenaline and the hype than you fight something that it will change your perspective of them forever.
And you will never see them, we're never be able to talk to them after these event. The fake themself just go out into the oblivion by getting insane. Like their original version
And even they try to be better and acting nicely to you in all the way into your journey. This is kinda sad to see how much they got from their creator. Madness.
The music is so great than it sound like : "we're going to die but let us die in the most epic moment you will nevet experiencing again"

(Yes its the same with plenty other pokemon villain. Like Lysander, Cyrus, Ghethis, Lusamine. But these professors was pretty out of the way.
I feel pretty bad for them but there were more intelligent and conscious of what they doing. They really f#cked up)

The fact that even the ai was like wtf when the paradise protocol activated meant that the ai somehow had better commonsense than the original professor
It’s the new marketing strategy, and a damn good one because it makes people love the game despite the glitches/performance issues

@@Missingno_Miner Agree. In my case was: I open RUclips the FIRST DAY IT IS ON SALE and literally the first video that I see is "Pokemon scarlet and violet final boss" and it showed in the portrait the two professors with glowing eyes.
I think that should be illegal.
@@Adrian-ze9ud I was somewhat luckier, I went a few days managing to avoid spoilers. I've had the DLC spoiled for me in a similar way, haven't gotten around to playing it but I already know about the handful of unrevealed new pokemon forms(Not gonna go into detail in case you don't know about them lol) and have a pretty good idea about how one of them fits into the story.
I was less fortunate with Legends: Arceus, I accidentally stumbled upon a leak post with all the new Hisuian mons on reddit a few days before the game released. The post itself wasn't very clear about what the pokemon were and was not marked spoilers, so I initially misunderstood and thought they were just fakemons. Until I started to see them in game and realized that something about them was familiar.
Hits harder than the fact that Arven managed to lose 3 of his 2 parents.

my favorite thing about this fight was having absolutely no clue as to what their types were. You're basically winging it w/out a guide. Which I haven't had to do in a Pokemon game in a long ass time.

Unless you went in and caught some of the Paradox mons that were available to you before the battle (Iron Treads/Great Tusk and Scream Tail/Iron Bundle(?)) from what I can tell. But yeah, it did feel very refreshing to need to guess types, even if I was guaranteed to win because of an overleveled team from just playing the game.
@@LostParadise_ It was Iron Treads/Great Tusk, Scream Tail/Iron Bundle, and Iron Jugulis/Flutter mane. I'm quite glad they didn't show off Iron Moth/Slither Wing beforehand, their types are particularly tricky to guess and they're a perfect pokemon to lead off with.
@@Missingno_Miner also, it’s a nice touch that a Pokéball just came out of the time machine and the first mon is unobtainable before the fight.
@@LostParadise_ I went full no spoiler in this game and honestly the fight kinda get me by surprise ( suspected that he/she was an ai or something) and I didnt know the types of the pokemons, maybe for that reason (and this bombastic theme) its become one of my favorite battles ever)

I know there were multiple musicians responsible for each track but you just KNOW when Toby Fox is on a track. He does this thing where you can hear the upcoming leitmotif before it becomes the lead/top, so it feels familiar, like you're traveling together without a surprise. So good
He listed all the Pókenon tracks he worked on and this isn't one of them.

Yes, it's very easy to recognize his music style, especialy when it comes to epic boss battles themes like this one!
For me this is the only one of Toby Foxe’s pokemon themes thats good. The rest of his stuff are meh. However this theme is sharing the best theme of the game with Penny’s theme. He hit gold with this one
Man, leave it to Toby and his Leitmotifs. The guitar riff and chiming sprinkled around the song calls back to the Tera Raid music and I love it
I believe it also uses the same intro, just remixed and extended, really interesting stuff from the master of motifs

Unrelated to the music itself, but can we just discuss the fact that these two showed up to the fight with what was essentially a full team of legendaries (far as BSTs go), even if that'd be the minor legendary level? And with every single one in a Master Ball too. Probably the biggest in-battle flexing any final boss in Pokemon has done to date. 😅
Basically if the protagonist had to fight Tobias from the anime.
They used the miraidon/koraidon cloning glitch lmao
Most terrifying and favorite detail about that fight (lore-wise atleast) is that the Masterball was actually SHAKING when it caught the Paradox mons, implying that not even the Masterball that has 100% of capturing any pokemon is fully capable of capturing them with ease. It's like they're so ancient/advanced that the Paradox pokemon don't qualify as pokemon anymore, or they aren’t even “real” in the first place depending on your perspective.
Well, in universe it makes perfect sense as to why they are using masterballs, after all those are given to researchers and professors predominantly, considering they are dealing with unknown pokemon of course they should use Masterballs for anything so as to lower risk.
My big question then is: Why is the Miradon/Koraidon we get is in a regular old Pokeball?
I’m hyped for the Treasures of Ruin’s theme on drums.

It’s the exact same guitar used in Hopes and Dreams, and the melody reminds me of Don’t Forget from Deltarune
And THIS is the result of Toby Fox at maximum power. We have the shared leitmotif with the Tera Raid theme, we have all the insane hype behind Toby's boss compositions, and we also have all the force of a full Pokemon sound team instead of just one man with digital software. What more could you ask for?

@@arachineatzeer7478 He was at the very least the main composer for Little Town Hero which is Game Freak's most recent non-Pokemon game, maybe he was the only composer even, so it's not really out of the realm of possibility. Especially now that Junichi Masuda isn't at Game Freak anymore, there is a relatively decent chance he becomes a consistent main composer since he's proven he can make some highlight battle themes for mainline games

Come to think of it: Neither game has Arven remembering *both* of his parents. It's either his mother, blasted to the past, or his father from the future, but we haven't found a moment where he's remembered and acknowledged both of them. The only evidence I have to support the two professors is Arven's hair color 😅
The journals in the research stations basically say that the opposite Professor walked out on the family shortly after Arven’s birth.

I'm not going to say it, but the reasons that ended up with them bringing Koraidon and Miraidon hit so hard with me, and why Arven is so stricken is so personal, having not known my dad my whole life either. The fact that the professor tried to use these monsters to find one another again.
Picture this, Arven was like the first Koraidon or Miraidon: gentle, happy, etc. This was when the family was together right?
The second ones were Arven after their family split. Scared, untrusting, unfamiliar with everything.
In a way, Arven, acting through the new monsters, let his familial rage in his heart loose...
Damn... Scarlet and Violet show what a broken family has done to your heart.
Arven, Koraidon, Miraidon, you acted out of grief, panic, rage, or instinct.
And it would kill them.

They didn’t go through time. They died protecting Koraidon/Miraidon in the last research lab. The AI was sent through time though.

Is this the first time in Pokémon the final battle wasn’t related to victory road? (I haven’t played every gen, so politely tell me if I’m wrong) I appreciate the fact that the stories climax and the games climax happen at the same time, instead of the world saving plot being over and done with before the final battle
It is, I believe.
I believe N and Ghetsis were the first in that regard, but I think this is the first time the entire final area isn’t related to the Pokémon league.

Technically the fight against Red in Gen 2 is not related to the league.
Bangs just as much with drums, I love it. You can just tell that Toby Fox worked on this track pretty easily.
This is only the second game toby worked and he already created one of the best songs in the whole franchise. Maybe he can work with nintendo's other games as well.
Technically, he does have a song in Smash lol. And he also did the music for Little Town Hero, another game by Game Freak.

Honestly, the bugs aren't even that bad. Or at least, not a dealbreaker for me since they're mostly just visual bugs. And wild Pokemon getting stuck in walls and occasionally cave ceilings, but to me that's mostly just funny haha. It also happened in Legends Arceus but it was actually worse there because a stuck Pokemon couldn't be caught, battled, aggro'd (if aggressive) or scared away (if skittish), even if a part was very clearly sticking out and you *could* target them. They just wouldn't react to anything you did. In ScarVi, you can battle or scare a Wall Mon if you want to.

@@fieratheproud There are more problems with the gsme than bugs. So many basic things any game should have but doesn't, or things you realize just from playing the game that should be changed, it's crazy to believe it's a game that came out this year. I love the game, but it has so many issues.
@@Boyzby fair enough, I tend to be pretty easy to please with games so I probably just don't note things the same way others do haha. As long as I'm having fun and there's not too many game breaking glitches that would be encountered from normal gameplay, I can usually overlook some things, usually without really meaning to.

I dunno if you had heard the song by that point, but if you hadn't, that's just freaking awesome how easily you found the rhythm and beat just like that! Now THAT'S playing by ear, and I love it! THE most heartwrenching scene in the series. I can only think of one STORY that's sadder and it's tucked away in an obscure manga series (yeah there's a canon manga that has a chapter about a Quagsire with dementia, and thats the ONLY story that outdoes the ending of SV for how utterly depressing it is).
I hope the AIs are happy. I hope they can enjoy their freedom and finally be able to see Paldea like they dreamed of. I'm sure they can augment themselves to be able to survive outside Area Zero, eventually, even if it takes a very long time. They're basicaly robots so they have more time to spare than a human would.
And who knows, given that, again, they're not human, they probably wouldn't be restricted by the limitations of the time machine that say that humans can't return. They shut the machine down in the present, but you know the theory about if a time machine exists then it's always existed and always will exist (plus the hints that the professor didn't actually build it but just got it functioning). Perhaps the AI could figure out how to get it to work on just them and send them back to the present. They can never replace Arven's real parent and nor should they try, but I feel like they loved him too, in their own way.
I beat this battle today and I couldn't do anything except smash Turo's "amazing" future pokemon and vibe.

This feels like it has a bit of a Chrono Trigger vibe to it. World Revolution, I think. It’s amazing. (Or maybe I’m thinking that because this game deals with time travel…)
I mean, Chrono Trigger does have a time traveling robot in it who had broken free of his programming to have independent thought and differ with what his creator wanted...
