The idea is to be a more realistic, and cynical, picture of a world with superheroes. It's pretty effective at painting a picture of how banal and dark that could be, with supeheroes being like a weird combination of celebrity influencer/militarised police, with almost fully unchecked power. It's also not subtle about satirising elements of American politics. The show's definitely a little juvenile, so it helps if you're able to have fun with that. It keeps trying to top itself with gratuitous violence, and how with how depraved each superhero turns out to secretly be. But it can also be great, and it's not for no point at all. Also worth mentioning that the comic it's based on is both even more edgy while also having absolutely nothing to say apart from the guy who wrote it thinking superheroes are a bit cringe, so it's a huge upgrade
Nah, not very well written. Mildly entertaining, but loaded with leftist tropes/propaganda as well. But then again that describes most modern trash shows.

I love how despite her being a million smarter than the deep she still didn't put him down like every body does and instead was friendly and not fake friendly but real friendly. Also I don't know why but I find it weirdly wholesome that the smartest person in the show made out with the dumbest one. Its hilarious and I hope we see mire of it next week. This is my favorite ship 😂 Best of all she doesn't need the deep in her plans so it was likely genuine and not manipulation.
Also the best part is that its most likely not manipulation as she doesn't need the deep in her plans so her making out with him seemed genuine. This whole seem was so weird yet so real at the same time.
When you meet real "intelligent" people do you think their intelligence precludes them from speaking or act like normal people who have lives to live every day. What would your ideal presentation of a "smart" character look like?
There's no way in hell cops would let so many people from two opposing sides be so close to each other where they can easily throw stuff or run over and attack. They would have put a lot more distance between them. There would also have been more cops, with more in riot gear on standby for the verdict.

I don’t get what event is this in reference to
@@petervizzini4006 I mean if you look at the Hometeamers and irl MAGA supporters, its not even propaganda it’s just a straight up mirror
@wielderofthetriforce1934 I've been to some of their rallies to see what they're they're all about, there really is no comparison

Each season of The Boys has an interesting character:
Season 1 Madelyn
Season 2 Storm Front
Season 3 Soldier Boy
Season 4 Sister Sage
Damn why did they replace starlight actress, season 1 starlight is better
more like the actress replaced herself
well, in away, not much has changed she just looks like someone who hasn't ate in a week
@@brysuagar6520 Nah she definitely had some plastic surgery done. It's a shame because she was much more beautiful before. But her body, her choice I suppose 🤷🏽♂️
Just shows how much plastic surgery can change someone.

i hate ppl making this show more political than it needs to be. reguardless of whatever side homelander would end in. He only care about supes. Not humans whatever side. JUST SUPES.
No, he does not care about supes. He kills them like flies on a regular basis. Have you not been watching the show?
@Uouttooo he kills the ones he doesnt care for. He still wants supes to take over the world. He just want to be their powerful leader
Wtf did Starlight do to her face? 😂 She looks like a warmed up 💀
You definitely need to get help
I just realized she looks like a younger Whoppi Goldberg dressed like that lol
This show looks so juvenile. Is it actually any good, like, does it have substance? Or just another edgy comic adaptation? Serious inquiry.
@@WILLOEYT Okay thank you. Ill consider it
The idea is to be a more realistic, and cynical, picture of a world with superheroes.
Your comment describes the Comics. The Show in my Opinion is much more serious.
Nah, not very well written. Mildly entertaining, but loaded with leftist tropes/propaganda as well. But then again that describes most modern trash shows.
It's just edgy sht, don't watch it.
Yea i haven't seen anything that impressive from this character yet for supposedly being the smartest person on earth and he house having books everywhere because "oh wow she's so smart she reads a lot" is pretty lame
She does but if you move to episode 3 we figure out that isn't the case. Like i adore this scene so much when she eats junk food and watch a regular show and comment over it. I related so much to her in that moment. That interaction she had with the deep was so great I cheared.
This whole seem was so weird yet so real at the same time.
knowledge is power
When you meet real "intelligent" people do you think their intelligence precludes them from speaking or act like normal people who have lives to live every day.
What would your ideal presentation of a "smart" character look like?
@@CommanderNeutralGray all of the books scattered everywhere is just extremely on the nose and not subtle at all
There's no way in hell cops would let so many people from two opposing sides be so close to each other where they can easily throw stuff or run over and attack. They would have put a lot more distance between them. There would also have been more cops, with more in riot gear on standby for the verdict.
The bad guys are so interesting I keep forgetting who to root for
