The organic style is dope. I've never heard the nyc \ southern conversation talk outside of my life, so from their perspective is appreciated.

I think it stems from his childhood when he used to spend the summers with his dad. The kids didn't want to hear what he had to say when he tried to talk about southern rappers. Also NYC rap fans back in the day didn't take to non NY sounding rap easily. They had to work hard to break ground here. One of the best discussions on the difference between Southern vs Country. People worldwide often mistake the Southern Dialect for Country. This is completely erroneous. Most all Southerers have Southern dialects (with variations from region to region), but some Southerners are from a large metropolis (w/n ranks of NY, LA, Chi, etc.) As well, as some Southerners are from the Rural Country regions. Non-Southerners often err with this over-generalization. & they unfortunately become indignant when Southerners try to explain this to them. I have always found this to be amazingly weird. It's bewildering to end up in an argument with someone who is not from your region, who is passionate & exasperated from trying to tell you about your own region, even though they are not from there. It's like an African getting dragged into an argument when they politely try to explain to Americans that Afica is a continent comprised of many countries. Not states. The construct is different from America's, so they are often met with cognitive dissonance.
The best part of that moment is they got to learn the difference first hand from Tip.. I can use that for future reference myself so I don't offend anyone saying their country when really I mean they sound southern.
