Massive attack performing Bela Lugosi's Dead?! There is hope for humanity, most indeed!
BY GODS THERE IS !!!
Yes!!!!!
praise be !!!!
Y're all wrong. There's hope for the undead.
As long as there is music like THIS, Bela's never going to die.
Saw them in SF this moment was so surprising and on point I was like “are they playing Bella lugosis dead? Yea they are” ❤️❤️❤️
Lucky you! Great Song with Massive Attack turns special.
i know it is kind of randomly asking but do anyone know of a good place to watch new tv shows online?
@Leighton Sonny Flixportal :P
@Brayan Diego thank you, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) I really appreciate it!
@Leighton Sonny No problem :D
What a treat, massive attack covering bauhaus, there is hope for music still
That's special ! I saw Bauhaus 19 times as a teenager. They hold a special place in my heart
you lucky b#stard.
I've seen Murphy (with an unknown yodeling Jewel opening) and L&R (with Bubblemen doing a set because the opening act bailed) separately. Never seen Bauhaus in the flesh. The tickets to a show in Brooklyn that I held for over a year needed to be given away. Life's full of sorrows.
Massive Attack has been a favorite of mine since the mid 90s. Having them cover Bauhaus is some kind of abstract ninja thing only they could make sense of.
Massive attack covering Bauhaus, unbelievable …i have died and … undied. Love this, thanks for sharing
Totally brilliant....it shows what great respect Massive Attack had for covering a song from a different era.
According to David J in this interview (ruclips.net/video/0TsPnTvGjYk/видео.html), Robert Del Naja told him that he and Tricky saw Bauhaus play in 1981 (or so), heard Bauhaus's use of dub elements in their music, which inspired them to shift their post-punk band's sound to what became Massive Attack. So, it was the dub elements of Bela Lugosi's Dead (in part) that was influential in the formation of Massive Attack, hence this loving cover tribute.
RIP Angelo
Saw bauhaus brixton academy 98..when they did this track, I was in heaven
Wow. This is a pretty damn faithful cover. Not what I expected.
omfg!!!!! Awesomeee!!!! Wasjust talking about the movie The Hunger starring Bowie and Susan Sarandon today. And the nightclub scene with Bela Lugosi's Dead playing in the background.....Good times....
One of my favorites!
One of the best covers I've heard of the song! 🌑🦇💯
I disagree (which won't make me popular, I know). To cover the song properly you have to build up the emotion. The first verse is flat and emotionless, the second introduces a sense of urgency and at the end we're screaming the lament "oh Bela!". It's not supposed to be a dirge, it's a gothic cry.
@@johnbidwell2393 To me the best cover I've heard is Ziggy Stardust with Bauhaus...
The Nouvelle Vague cover is nice, I like the mood on that one.
@@peterboels Yes, that's a good one to : )
I’ve just come across this now , it’s almost note for note 8/10 excellent , if they could I have got Pete Murphy and Dan ash to join them that night I would have given them 11, Bauhaus are a class act and that song is a masterpiece by them , so for massive to a cover as good as this showing a lot of balls BRAVO !!
Very good choice. One of the best songs ever made.
What a setlist! 😮Amazing! And ELIZABETH FRASER! Would give a lot to have been there!
Whaou ! Cover Bauhaus j adore ! Toute mon adolescence qui ressurgit !
Wow... how awesome.
Great homage to Bauhaus ….. love it
Grazie Massive per questa grande cover dei mitici Bauhaus!
This is perfection
Love, love, love!!!
Thanks Mike-
Wow amazing of all the covers you could choose from.. bloody good job , still as good today as it was before 🏴🍀👍🙏
The old Goth still in me approves.
Really enjoyed it. Excellent attempt at a classic tune
Blooming Awesome!
Massive Attack faisant un clin d’œil à Bauhaus...juste rien que magnifique !
Well done ! Bauhaus, another kind of madness
This is awesome!!!!! My first time hearing it! 😮
SICK!!!!
I saw Peter Murphy do Bela in West Berlin 1989. Fantastic
Wish I was there
sublime!!!!!
This blows my mind 🤯
Love it!!!!

Bela Lugosi is dead....The art house film.. The Hunger..(stunning performance)
Love a cover when it's done right and theres nothing wrong here that bass line 🤯
Doskonałe!!!!
Fist gig I ever went to was Bauhaus, when they played this is was stunning
Hey, me too. Northampton Town Hall supporting Magazine. 1980ish.
@@Mardyfella first time I had seen dry ice! I thought it was an incredible effect, I never stopped speaking about it for months 🤣🤣🤣
@@mell3109 Yeah. Terrific. Second time I saw them was in Northampton Repertory Theatre and when the curtains opened Pete was sat in a big, red velvet armchair when Bela Lugosi kicked in. It was epic.
Yes!!!
Nice!
Great
NICE!!!!!!!!
Wish I had been there
Dope
Impressive
Genius
Well Done
bauhaus bristolized. love it.
Good cover.
Damn!
Fucking crazy and awesome..... Béla is dancing
Well, that came from nowhere. Decent performance.
Eargasm on 76.!!!
Not a patch on the original, but kudos and salutations. It made my day in Bristol
Muito foda...
👏❤️
how funny, i’ve got the same vid from about 4 rows behind you… rad!
thx x sharing ... I like so much this song, maybe I prefer original version cause longer, seem never come to an end
🙂
oh my‼️‼️‼️
#humansrbetterthanithought
Am I seeing this??? Where have I been? Where is PETER? Where is DANIEL?
Bet more then half the audience have no idea who Bauhaus is or Bela Lugosi.
Miti
Du Kralho🤘🏾
The section drum of this song is imperative.
This is hot shit.....awesome.
If I could be in one band that band would be Massive attack
Bauhaus end👀👂👣👽👽👽
I always felt BAUHAUS moved away from any concept of "goth" from the start even though they are the embodiment of it. They were always Post Punk and their strong dub influences counterbalanced the very british, romantic decadence. Massive Attack always seemed to me an evolution of the musical direction pointed to by BAUHAUS so when I found this cover it made weird sense.
Bauhaus referred to themselves as "dark glam". It seems like no Goth band actually wanted to be a Goth band!
Where's Lizzie?
Can't decide if I was there if I would be dead or undead.
well i'll be
And where the hell is the Oh Bella ending ?
Undead
Thought I was listening to Joy Division for a minute there.
That wasn't too bad at all. 👍
"Undead, undead. "
strobe light :s
senses overload
@@MichaelBadenPhoenixRealtor over used IMO. :D
It's a decent remake.
Nowhere near as good as the original.
Don't get me wrong...I dig it! This would be the SHIT if I had never heard Bauhaus' original version
See..a little bit of Goth in us all.....
Massive Attack? Where's Tricky?
undead
.....sor rite...
