In case it wasn't already clear, Mahjong Soul is free to play and there are no gameplay advantages from the gacha. Everything is merely cosmetic. If you want to try Mahjong Soul, you can play for free here: mahjongsoul.yo-star.com/ You can also join my Discord server and chat in the mahjong-soul channel if you are looking for other people to play with or want some help to learn the basics: discord.gg/umidah
i know a bit of mahjong due to the yakuza games, i quite enjoy it actually as i learned it to get the achievements in these games, maybe i'll give this a try
I mean, even though I can't spend any money to get Hayasaka, I'll still play because the Yakuza games have made me adore Mahjong and I have actually gotten decent at it
Bro i started mahjong soul 2 days ago (total newbie) just because of the love is war colab and i am literally so close to go broke for it 💀 too bad i'm also a genshin addict....
I love kaguya-sama and I've been wanting to try mahjong, so I downloaded the app! Is there a code or something I could do in the app to indicate you were the person who introduced me to the game?
There's no referral code or anything like that, but if you are looking for people to play with or teach you, feel free to join my Discord server and check out the #mahjong-soul channel. Everyone in there is always eager to assist and play with new people 😄 Here's the link if anyone wants to join: discord.gg/Umidah
As a completely new player who hasn't decided whether or not to commit money to the game, is it worth it to get into the game specifically for this collab event? This collab event is literally my main draw to finally get into the game, but if I'm left empty handed, I more than likely won't continue playing the game. So I'm wondering will this game satisfy my needs or will it be like every other gacha where they tease new players to join but completely screw them over by forcing them to invest gambling money immediately, right off the bat.
Unlike most gacha games, Mahjong Soul is based on a real-life game so there's no advantage gained from using different characters or decorations. It's not like the characters have superpowers like a certain other Mahjong-related anime series. The tradeoff is that there are very few opportunities to do gacha as a free-to-play player so if you do want to get a specific character, you'll most likely have to spend money. If you're undecided, you should just try playing the game for a week or so to see if you like it. Then you can try the gacha if you so wish.
@@GoXDS That isn't what concerns me, and as someone who plays video games with skins, skins highly motivates players and retains their interests. That is the case here, and whether or not it affects gameplay itself isn't my concern.

I mean, it's mahjong. the gacha has 0 effect on gameplay

@@Umidahh that's unfortunate, so as a new player who is interested because of this event, I'm pretty screwed then
They should've sponsored you smh
No Chika? Meh.
Does this gacha have pity? ;_;
It does. Each summon gives 1 Faith and it requires 150 Faith to choose any character you want.
