This was legit insane, i'm a elden ring theory crack addict, i watch everything, like 20 channels + reddit, and this blew my mind.
I told Kate I’m making a little compilation of her theories shared here for a video because they’re seriously like the best I’ve heard about all of these topics and they need to be seen!

I actually wrote about the idea at 1:02:00 before. Bear with me.
I think the primeval current is consciousness itself, in a Panpsychism sense (GRRM is no stranger to that).
To explain that, a specific interpretation of panpsychism goes something like: We have consciousness, but that is not necessarily distinctly different from anything around us. What we have is a difference of degree, not of kind. Everything - including atoms - have their own consciousness, and when they combine (through a field akin the electromagnetic one) they can form a higher order of consciousness.
Practically speaking, and for the sake of most formulas, gravity isn’t limited by light speed - it is instead treated as instantaneous. This means that consciousness, if it came from a field, would be instantaneous, and therefore could envelop things as large as the sun, or even the galaxy.
Keyword being galaxy, which the primeval current is often thought synonymous with.
However, then we get into the idea of a formscape. There are things in this universe that we can both experience and/or conceive of that strictly speaking do not exist in the real world. A perfect circle, the color red (the qualia of it, not the wavelength - there’s no reason we should experience red as anything but a string of data). These ideas must be derived from somewhere - and most exist somewhere - outside of the universe itself, as they do not exist in terms of actual matter (you cannot make a circle without dividing infinitely).
This realm where everything exists is called the formscape, and it’s a dimension of infinite ideas (or at least all possible) and infinite potentiality.
Now what do they actually say about the Primeval Current? Well…
- Graven masses combine and expand consciousness in order to more fully assess it(self);
- The PC is described as an endless chaotic ocean of supreme beauty and horror (i.e. infinite potential, which is itself beautiful and terrifying)
- the stars contain the Fates (i.e. Astrology, stars have their own traits and personalities) and the Moons are referred to as sentient actors (sharing their wisdom in a literal sense);
- there's a Greater *Will* and *Outer* Gods;
- glintstone being a more enduring, softer kind of life (i.e. consciousness or the soul, Sellen even puts her soul/consciousness in a stone in her quest).
The Stars (like the Blood Star, a reference perhaps to Chthulhian mythology), Moon (Ranni's and Rennalla's), and likely the Sun in Elden Ring are (outer) Gods, just as they are in ancient real-world religions. They are not necessarily seen as Gods in the way Marika is, but they are clear objects of worship with great power over reality, and a Will of sorts (the Fates being the will of the Gods, or alternatively, a will even Gods are bound by - as would be the case for the Greeks).
Even the entity called the Greater Will did not create life, but rather fragmented already extant potential into new states, as per the ER mythology, from the Crucicle.
These galactic bodies, then, serve as Nexi for consciousness (Will) spread universe-wide. That consciousness itself is infinite in its potential and chaotic, until localized and concretized, made incarnate through life (through the crucible) or heavenly bodies.
This is most easily visible in the galaxy the inhabitants of this world see, which is the 'Heavenly River/Silver River' as the Milky Way is known in Asian cultures. Therefore, in my opinion, this being what 'Primeval Current' references.
This is BRILLIANT and I’m fully on board! I think this concept can be exhibited beautifully as both the great attractor and the point I was leaning to get at but never returned to was with the primeval current locking laniakea and Perseus Pisces super clusters in an eternal song of gold and silver, it makes a shape much like a brain, screaming out at us the pansychism implications!

@@Luaeria Yes, your pointing out that they looked like neural pathways reminded me of this idea. I do believe the galaxies are their own sort of consciousness in Elden Ring, and I think that's what the Outer Gods fundamentally are. Of course, hivemind consciousness and consciousness through trees/roots and stars make up a ton of GRRM's works.

Are these turds like the gravity magic spikes from Fallingstar beast Jaw Weapon art?
Also, how the Nox drew the ire of the greater will, relates I think to the summoning of Astel, through a black hole, causing the loss of their sky, is a metaphorical retelling of how the dinosaurs were destroyed from meteor fallout. I think it also suggest that like silver, gold also summoned the Elden stars, I believe that the Elden beast was brought to earth by characters in the story. The celestial towers either coordinated the landing or are in commemoration of the Elden stars causing the crater in the middle of the map. The Erdtree glowed to give life in the fallout of the meteor impact, bringing life to the crucible of destruction. The Erdtree even looks like a mushroom cloud of nuclear bomb.
It’s all just symbolism talk, and conjecture, I don’t mean to say what I think is right or the only interpretation.

I’m at 2:49:51 listening to the bedchamber quote between Radagon and Marika. What if Marika needed to divest herself of her flesh and all that made her golden, so shattered the ring as a form of suicide, therefore trapping the Elden Beast inside Radagon, inside the Erdtree inside Marika’s stone body. What if Marika had a way to soul transfer to Miquella, or already was Miquella?
Jack is a Mimic is always saying Miquella is the oldest of all the demigods (along with Malenia) but what if they are Radagon and Marika. The Radagon in the Erdtree has his arm replaced with black space smoke- what if the body is animated by the de-powered and wounded Elden beast.
For my money, Marika always struck me as the spirit tuner that Hewg was always referring to (especially before the DLC image was released and the association between Miquella and torrent was drawn) and also Fia has the same hair as Miquella/Marika also. I think that there is something dialectic occurring between these characters. Perhaps Marika was a deathbed spirit tuner dragon person lich that soul-transferred into her kids hoping to scoop up rune shards from outside of her imprisonment at the Erdtree.
I've been speechless the whole episode. I wish to hear a lot more of her theories, she makes SO MUCH SENSE I-

I love these theories. Oh also I’ve noticed that in that church where merica is said to have experimented with erdtrees, there’s jar’s everywhere. Also there’s jars surrounding the minor erdtrees. I feel like that, along with the warrior jars being full of blended up warriors which gives them life, might have some major implications. Also the warrior jars seem to have sprung up during a period where gladiatorial combat, aka killing eachother for sport, was huge around the lands between

I believe they’re related to Godwyn in the same way that nascent butterflies are related to Miquella.
They represent the gold of Godwyn and the centipede curse mark of death
