Great video! I’ve had my Flint for 3 years now and it’s been so versatile. I’m bring it out almost every other week during the open water season. I do rivers, ponds, lakes with a trolling motor, take my two dogs swimming, camping, duck hunting, deer hunting, and everything! The versatility is very important to me!
Traded my Jackson Bite for one earlier this year. I have zero regrets on that trade. Thanks again Andy. Your videos are always informative and helpful.
Hey Austin, What do you like about the flint that the bite didn’t offer? What did you prefer on the bite? I’m new and afraid the flint wouldn’t be stable enough for me to catfish out of. Does it do good on lakes or are you mostly creek fishing?
I did a ton of research several years ago loooking to buy two kayaks. ended up on the Flynts and am very happy with them. Have added a rear trolling motor setup with lithium batteries for when I want to to cover a lot of water fishing.
I have the unlimited and love it. However, it can be challenging when our local river is low. I bought the Flint for the low water conditions and as a throw and go kayak.
i love nucanoe their customer service is second to none, and i love my flint had it since 2018 and has served me very well if i were to upgrade (which wont be anytime soon) i would definitely buy another nucanoe
I picked up a Commander 120 last year and this video shows me I could trade for a Flint and maybe do more 😎 Thanks for the video walkthrough and thoughts Andy 👊 I am guilty of underestimating this platform. Another fantastic video 👏👏
I’m interested in a pedal drive kayak. Nucanoe definitely has my interest ! While searching, came across the seastream angler 120pd. Total budget will be $3000’ish. This is to include everything. Kayak and accessories. Which would you recommend and why? Get the nucanoe and pivot drive, at the top end of the budget? Or the seastream with some accessories, with some money to spare? No electronics or batteries on the boat.
Do you have any experience in the older original Jackson coosa? That’s the current main kayak I have and this yak seems comparative in specs. I can stand in my coosa but can’t fully focus on fishing while doing so but I also love the maneuverability and how lightweight it is so I can cover a bit more water than a barge kayak. Any input is much appreciated!
I prefer the Flint personally. A lot of issues with deck cracking under where the seat sits on the deck. The Flint lowered the seat position to give more stability for 2024 and its about $300 cheaper than the Coosa was in 2021
I’m looking for a throw and go kayak for fly fishing rivers. I have an f12 that a freaking love but it can be a bit heavy to drag up and down some banks. What do you think about the flint vs the f10 for my situation. I do stand and cast but I’m lighter and in pretty decent shape.
@@thebeardedpaddler my only concern is that it’s only 8lb lighter than my f12. Doesn’t seem worth the upgrade when I’m happy with the f12. Am I missing something?
Is this a kayak you would recommend for someone that is basically a first time kayaker that will be using it primarily on rivers and the occasional lake? This feels like it would be perfect as I would be hauling it in the back of my truck but I'm not sure if I'd prefer something that has a pedal drive and the pivot drive to me just doesn't look as good as the others. I'm 5'10" and about 200 lbs if that influences your decision in anyway.
Is there one that has a pedal drive that you would recommend for shallower rivers? Or is the pivot drive better than it looks? I just think it will get annoying have to disconnect it all the time to haul it.@@thebeardedpaddler
@@Hentges13 pedal drive on the rivers aren't always what they are cracked up to be. If I would suggest a pedal drive for the river, it would definitely be the Jackson Bite Angler. The Jackson drive kicks up all the way into the hull if you were to hit something. Really unique, and does well on rivers
I just got a fusion 360 seat for my frontier 12. Has anyone tried turning the whole seat bracket 90 * so it sits down on the floor in order to quickly have a lower seat position with out using the seat riser kit and turning the mounting bracket upside down?
Thanks for the reply I appreciate it. Only flints in stock around me are last year model still worth it over another yak under 1200? Thanks for any info

@@jacobdisioux thank you for your feedback!
Nucanoe makes outstanding Kayaks for the money. To me they are the Corvette of Kayaks, price per performance they can’t be beat.
They are up there for sure!
Just bought an Unlimited yesterday. Your videos helped a ton. Couldn't be happier. Love the Nucanoe stuff.
Great to hear! Thanks for watching

@@coltgriffin6502 catfishing you may like the Bite more. The Bite will be more stable. The Flint will paddle better and give you better speed
NuCanoe makes some awesome boats! Can’t wait to get there Pursuit and rig it out! Great video man! Keep it up!
You too. Appreciate your work!

I think I’m getting a nucanoe unlimited. Watched a few of your vids and they definitely helped me come to that answer!
Thank you for your kind words. You give me too much credit lol.
They are building great kayaks and deserve the credit!

You are going to enjoy the Nucanoe a lot more. I promise you
The more videos I watch the more I wonder if I should have purchased this one instead of the U10.
Looking to up grade from ck1 fish mainly lakes lokibg at flint u10 or skf any suggestions

How does this paddle compared to Tarpon 120
@@scotthanaman7849 maybe a little faster. The Tarpon 120 is one of the best all around paddlers in my opinion.

For primarily rivers it will do great. A lot of great options. This one is just a phenomenal value at $1099

Would love a Wade Harrison on river comparison between the flint and Crescent CK1
That would be more of a question for Wade if I'm understanding your request
Funny this popped up. I just picked up a new flint for $725 out the door! Didn’t need it, but at that price…
I would
Really stuck between the flint and the native falcon 11
Better value with the Flint. Better weight capacity, Better paddle performance. Both are plenty stable.

I found used flint for half the price. Should I buy it
why not?
The seat just doesn’t look as comfortable as my ascend 10 t from 2017. That’s what is keeping me from upgrading to the flint.
To me it is. Comfort is such an individual preference though
@@thebeardedpaddler looks can be deceiving though. I need to sit on one before I judge.
That Nucanoe seat is the most comfortable kayak seat I've ever sat in. And I've sat in alot of them lol.
