I’ve been repairing costume jewelry for decades….and I love your tips! I will be using the small screwdrivers from now on to pop stones and clean up the cups. Thanks so much!
@@gjackson9380 thank you! So glad it helped! I’m gearing up to do a bunch more repairs. I will try to video some more of the processes! Thanks so much for watching! 💕
Thank you for your videos! I have been re-vamping vintage jewelry for years and look forward to using some of your tips. Your ideas are much appreciated, thank you for sharing. Keep up the great videos- PLEASE! You are wonderful
Awwww. Your comment made my day! 😊 I have a bunch of projects in the works that I’ll plan to share here! Thank you for the kind words and for watching! ❤
Thanks for this video! Now I’m not feeling so intimidated by the thought of doing some repair. Thanks for sharing the tools you use-I had no idea where to even start before watching this 😊
You are so welcome! It’s really quite fun once you get the hang of it and you get the satisfaction of saving pieces that may otherwise get trashed. I hate it when that happens! Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much! You make it look easy, and obviously you have the required patience 😇. I expect a need for magnification aids will play a big part when I decide to give it a try. If you feature a repair vid for prong-set stones in the future , I will study that as well! Cheers!
Hahaha. Yes, patience is something I didn’t mention but should be included in the toolkit! I was going to include prong settings but the video just got too long. Thanks for watching!
I always enjoy your videos!! You do a great job! Gorilla glue is my favorite to use too! I have so many of those daubers and I swear I can never get them to work!!! Grrrr! I am going to give them away in some of my videos, lol. Along with some dental wax so it will work, 😂😂😂😂😂! Love it!
Great video! Thanks for the tips! One tiny (hopefully constructive) piece of feedback. Regarding the background color when using camera especially with pearls...maybe try a different color in table. Even a medium color of blue would make it easier to see what you're doing.
Yeah. Thanks. I realized that after I published. I was playing with the editing tools and washed the color out a bit too. Oops. It’s a learning curve!! ☺️
How do I find someone like you to take a costume jewelry earring, split it and make two pierced earrings? I have my mother in law’s costume necklace, but she lost the other earring, so I thought I would have the stones split and make two pierced earrings to match the necklace. Any help would be appreciated. I thought I might wear to my sons wedding in a couple weeks
@@sonyaklein3601 what a kind and thoughtful thing to do! Depending on how the earring is constructed it could be a simple or a difficult project. I can think of a few people who might want to take on the project. Send me a photo of the earring (slohappyvintage@aol.com) and I’ll take a look! Thanks for watching!
