Loved this Thelma! Don't know how many times I junked nice pieces because of discolored ware. I have had these pens for art. Never thought I could have spared some cool stuff.
Oh may! How clever you are. Thank you so much for answer me with all you do I was sure I was sure I was not going to hear from you. I'm an 80 year old grandma with lot of jewelry to pass on, your vedeo will help me to make my old pieces come back to life...something I wish I could!. God Bless the work you do for a very long time. Cece
Cecilia, my grandma passed on her jewelry to all of us granddaughters. She left a note with a little bit of the history on each piece. Some of the notes said things like "Bought in France with your Gramps. He griped about the price but I got it anyway". "Wore these to the Grammy's in 1980." "Found in a pawn shop in Vegas and wore this during the birth of my 2nd child." "Found this Chanel at a flea market in Texas for $2 bucks!" Or one of my faves: "Not worth much, but I wore it to all of your Mom's baby showers". It made each piece so much special to know all of these details, even if it wasn't a typically "valuable" piece to someone else! Just an idea! ❤
@@nikkiflippy007 Thank you so much for sharing this fantastic edea!!!! How much more value those notes will add to the piece. Happy Easter to you. Cecilia
Hi Thelma. I enjoyed watching this type of show very interesting and knowing that we can save from junking some of our cute jewelry pieces is very cool ! TFS !
I had one earring in my single earrings lot and another in my scrap silver pile, so thanks for the info on how some southwest earring will have just one hallmarked...now i have reunited a wonderful pair! Thanks, this is the kind of knowledge that is so helpful. (from another video I guess)
Thank you for doing this vid. I’ve been looking for a couple of years to find something to do to fix my vintage jewelry. Now I can start buying vintage jewelry that is worn and now I know I can fix😍
Hello 👋🏽😊 Watching this video on 03/2023. Thanks for such an informative video on how to restore jewelry. I had been looking for a way to save some of my jewelry pieces. Thanks again!! 💞😘
I've got some things that I will do this with. Thanks for the information and tutorial. I also don't mind the base copper showing on certain items but sometimes a piece calls for brightness. That Betsy Johnson turned out great!
I'm so glad you posted this. I just got the Krylon ones. Haven't tried gold yet but the silver was too matte for the piece i was working on. Im going to try those. THANKS
Wasn’t blob jewelry in in the seventies?!! Not a whole lot of good style happened in the seventies! Arrrgh! Harvest, avocado green and brown, not my taste! I love jewele tones
Have you tried seeing how well it’s really applying? Like rubbing water on, does it start coming off? If it does come off what I think you could add is a top coat to seal the marker. I thought about dumping a bunch of matching pieces in a gold or silver plating tank.
Hi. LOVED your training video! You cover so much in your video! I need some help. I would like to know the name of the painting pens you use. I need to touch up some of my pins where the gold or silver tone overlay has rubbed off from age and use. I have never done this before and some of the pins are 60+ old. Thank you. Yvonne MW Rivera
What color of gold is this.? I found the brand on Amazon but I don’t see the shiny gold that you actually have in this video could you tell me what it is? :-)

You’re welcome, thanks for the kind note.
Used those pens when I was into various paper crafts. The good ones were so much fun. Especially on black or dark colored paper or item!

You could use a tiny paintbrush to spread the blob of gold.

If it does come off what I think you could add is a top coat to seal the marker.
I thought about dumping a bunch of matching pieces in a gold or silver plating tank.
It's fantastic, It's very unique in how well it adheres to metal.

Premium promo enamel for jewelry on Amazon
Oh great! I'm trying to touch up, but not sure.
They work great on most things.
Thank you for the tips on touching up jewelry with the pens! Does your touch up seem to last a while on the jewelry?
Yes. It does. Especially on textured items. Thanks for watching.
@@ThelmaThrift That's awesome! Thank you!
How long does this paint pens last? I am told you can use the enamel paint testor paints to repaint vintage jewelry
I'm not sure I guess it depends on usage, mine are still pretty full.
Did you clean the pieces before painting? And if so how did you do it?
Yes. I use the ultrasonic cleaners. Thanks for watching.
hi are these pens of real silver and gold though or just paints?
No. They are enamel. Thanks for watching
Does the paint rub off on your arm/clothing?
@@CraftyTurtle no not at all.
@@ThelmaThrift thanks
