- The only thing that makes this speedrun "illegal" is that it is banned across all main leaderboards. It is 100% done within normal game limitations, and is ALSO not reliant on hardware at ALL. (because time spent paused to allow the game to load around you is removed from the final time)

The speed run goes as follows -
Step one: purchase Five Nights at Freddy's Security Breach
Step two: refund Five Nights at Freddy's Security Breach
Speed run complete
and, to beat it before launching, go to the "movies" folder, and open up the afton ending mp4

I feel like this catagory is just proof that the creators of this game didnt expect people to get out of bounds and didnt expect people to not immediatly save their game
One thing's for sure, if they didn't expect people to get out of bounds like this, they wouldn't have added a death switch / teleporter instead of letting you infinitely fall.
sad fact: we're only some pixels off from being abble to get out of freddy's room. You can get on top of the curtains in freddy's room near the door with some VERY precice parkour, but you can't go anywhere from there and the closest we got from there was a couple of pixels off from being abble to jump over the wall.

maybe a movement technique/combo might help?

If this game wasn't so busted I don't think I ever would have checked out anything about it. Not into FNaF really but stumbling across a speedrun showing how broken the game is got me interested in learning more about it and the speedruns of SB.
I didn't get into fnaf until security breach, and honestly, the glitchy shenanigans looked so fun to me that I wanted to try it myself, but since my laptop can't handle the graphics, well...
ultimately, security breach is what led me to build my first PC
The fact that the mods have to put in they website to not use nsfw models, makes me wander how many people uploaded speedruns but forgot to remove de nsfw mods

Honestly this wouldn’t be hard to patch at all. They’d literally just need to have an auto-save the moment the you gain control of Gregory after getting out of Freddy and that’ll kill save warping. Whether or not Steelwool think to do that though is another matter entirely.

@@connorschultz380 it would be easier to do this then fix the map geometry. I believe some people have caused this glitch to happen accidentally and it basically softlocks the game on a fresh install. Putting an auto save directly after that cut scene ends is better for standard play through anyway, it means you don’t have to keep sitting through the entire opening dialogue again if you die before saving.
Oh wow, that speedrun’s really popping off. I always enjoy seeing speedruns, and I love seeing speedruns of security breach ever since I came across your channel. I can only imagine just how crazy some runs will become for any other games, should there be quicker ways to finish them

Fun fact. The vents themselves aren’t made by steel wool. That’s why they are structurally sound to such a high level.

Hell, even if the game is busted, I’m glad the speedruns are cool.
Imagine releasing a game to the public and charging money for it when a core game play mechanic can cause the entire world to unload.
Sony forced steel wool to release it a few months early in time for Christmas, that's why it's so overlooked

A few months prior to release they should have been well into play testing the completed game. This game needed another full year in the oven. A few months wasn't going to make any difference.

you said that you dont want to do a security breach blindfolded because saves don't reset camera position, but I think hiding spots do. if you ever think of it I suggest you test that.

That's pretty much most of the any% and OOB categories. The most popular category in security breach is vanny ending OOB and that doesn't collect any badges

I tried to do this myself and damn near had a break down. The jumping is so hard and this is only my first try, and whenever I land on top of that door frame the room always fucking loads so instead of clipping out of bounds I get trapped. Maybe I'm just tired but dammit it nearly made me cry trying to do this shit.
if it loads then ur too far to the left u gotta be farther right on the door frame so it doesn't load the room on the other side u can practice it first by going slowly and even crouching if u need too

oh my god, I remember commenting on a video mentioning the auto-load glitch suggesting someone make a new game plus category. no doubt I'm not the first person to come up with it but wild
Funniest part about this video is that you can complete 3 New Game Plus speed runs during the runtime of this video.
SB blindfolded sounds nearly impossible if not absolutely because of some of the rng lmao especially with pizzabot routing and the weeping angels

I know you mentioned that you probably won't play Poppy Playtime Ch1 again, but I think that it'd be a really fun stream/video idea to play Poppy Playtime (or another game but I think Poppy would work well in this format) where you can't see the game and have to rely on chat to guide you. Similar to your blindfold run, but a little different.
