Boy, did that controllers voice go up when he said he had a problem!
Prob a shift change maybe?
lol probably training in progress. Trainer took over is my guess.
I love JetBlue and don't even know why . Just the sound of them :)
Very Nice Catches
I was recently on a flight and would be interested to hear the ATC communications from it. Does anyone know where to go to get them? Thx in advance.
Yikes

Those guys had been up all night and dealing with an aircraft failure with no notice. I’m sure you never ever make a mistake. Unless you work all night multiple times a month and are put into this position I don’t think you are qualified to comment.
@@spencersmith5784 With your logic, none of us are qualified to comment... Regardless, I wasn't criticizing the pilot. Just reiterating what was said as a statement of fact. It is the ATC's job to catch it and decide if they want to correct them.
Its funny all you hear about on the news is Boeings problems but Airbus has a crap load of issues that we rarely hear about unless with search them out.
Approach, I need you to confirm the read back. Confirm ILS 4-LEFT is functional. Not just: "it is."
“It is” is perfectly fine. 🙄
"Confirm ILS 4L is functional" is a *question*, it does not require a read back.
“Just a flight control failure.” American pilots take minimizing language to the extreme. Totally unnecessary and counterproductive.
He did also say it's a slat problem. What else should he have added? Didn't seem like a major emergency situation.
@@MrNotech He had no slats and dozens of people onboard. This wasn't "just" anything.
Do you even know why what slats do? Certainly doesn't amount to a major emergency since the airplane was completely maneuverable. The pilot knew what he is doing @@bjmaston
Oh fuck off. Isn't it Lufthansa that likes to have engine failures that aren't "emergencies"?
@@williamedwards1528Where did I say "major" or "emergency"? Those are your words. This guy is flying dozens of civilians and has a control surface failure. Slats decrease the stall speed and improve handling characteristics during critical flight phases. Minimizing this issue is utterly pointless and counterproductive.
