Steve, that's a very good idea but don't forget, your coffin will make an excellent tool chest until you're ready for it, you could also stand it in a corner somewhere cool and store vintage wines and spirits inside on a removable rack. Think of it as a drinks bank for your wake!

I thought similar - put removable shelves in it and use it for tool storage in the workshop. By the time it's needed all the dinks, chips, bits of glue and stain on it will tell a proper story :)

    Hi Steve,
I’m an ex pat who now lives in NZ.
I’ve just found you on RUclips.
Down here, some places around the country have “ Coffin clubs” where obviously they help you build your own coffin to your design.
A friend of mine built his own, then shelved it to use it as a cupboard in his workshop.
Great channel, please keep up the good work.
    Mark

I saw a documentary about such clubs. One lady was using hers as a planter until the day came! Great idea. :)

My instructions are to drag me from mortuary to crematorium immediately, so no need for a ⚰ . If family and friends want a memorial, then that's up to them.
