      @@thomaschezzy3308 Americans call wellies "galoshes". Wordle will let you enter WELLY, but it will probably never be an answer word.

      Telly and Welly are Britishisms. They might be accepted as guesses, but would not be solution words in the American English used by Wordle.

      Mine was worse: I went via FELLY! But I did get it, eventually, in 6: shirt, gland, vowel, plume, felly, jelly. I felt lucky that I never thought of belly.

    At only 36:00 seconds, Mark, after your third guess you said, "Jelly" or "Belly", and then paused to give it some serious thought. 😁
    I, on the other hand, charged ahead (as usual), at virtually the same point (guess three), never having even considered, "Leggy" or "Beefy", and here's my result, fwiw:

    I did come up with, "Seemy" as well, however.

    CRASH > MOUNT > GLIDE > JELLY. I usually avoid trying J because I believe J is the least commonly used letter, but BELLY sounded like a past answer so I tried jelly first.

    SPARE -> BLEND -> EXTOL -> GUILE -> JELLY ...obviously guile was a mistake & couldn't have been it, I forgot I'd ruled out "e" with my first guess, but it did rule out everything else, so it was useful!

    I use “rinse” “octal” and “dumpy” as my lead in words every day. Got them from a marathon video Simon put out a while back. They work very well most of the time. All vowels and no repeat letters. Then again, I don’t do hard mode.

      I'm sorry to report that WELLY isn't a word with which we Americans are very familiar, so it's very unlikely to ever be the answer.

    According to the analyser, the only available words with 3 new letters after DECOY are BEEFY/FEELY/SEELY/SELFY/FEYLY/JEELY/MESHY/SELKY/SESEY/YEUKY.
    Lots of really obsolete/obscure words, funnily enough SELFY and MESHY would have been accepted tries, eventhough Mark decided to discard them.
