Fautanu said he felt more comfortable at RT than at LT. He backed that up with his play as this video shows. He played even better than I thought. Fautanu was the PFF Player of the Game. No pressures allowed in 29 pass-blocking snaps, and he was beaten only once in 26 run-blocking snaps. No penalties either (I believe). Hopefully Tomlin will keep Fautanu at RT, and let Broderick Jones focus on the left side which is his natural position (where he dominated in college).
@@washed2405 He's not much better than Jones at LEFT tackle. You have been watching Jones at RT. Jones is not a RT. Dan Moore Jr. can't play RT either. In fact, he wont even try it. Jones needs some time to heal up, and focus just on LT without switching back and forth. By the end of the season he should pass Dan Moore Jr. at LT. Broderick won't pass him if they keep moving him to the right.
@@steelpower75 yes I know my guy… but I’m saying Dan moores been playing good at LT 2 weeks into the season. In fact he was one of the highest rated tackles in week 1. Dan Moore either has to get a pretty significant injury or he just absolutely has to suck, which if he did jones would be starting. So yeah jones will be on the bench for majority of the season.
@@washed2405Dan Moore has been below average left tackle I would let Jones have a shot. At least he has a much higher ceiling and upside. Moore is what he is a below average LT
Dude, I've watched quite a few of your videos, and I gotta say well done. Well done. Your knowledge is legit. I hope more people get to see your videos, my guy. Ill keep watching.
I don’t think you read comments because I don’t see any replies or likes from you, but just in case - Pat Meyer, Steelers OL coach, teaches the OL to make first significant contact on pass sets.
*Yep. Which is usually why young guys struggle at first. And not every OLineman can excel at this. Pat Meyer is a damn good coach I think and does some stuff that not many are doing. Meyer & Arthur Smith are perfect for each other*
I distinctly remember that Warren play around 8:00 in the video. Even though he barrels into each run with reckless abandon that most fans seem to like, it's that kind of misread that shows Najee is still the better back, especially in this offense. If you remember the Derrick Henry big runs from when Arthur Smith was in TEN, a larger portion were that patient type and hit the developed hole that Najee favors.
Interesting being that Warren has the Henry burst of speed for those big runs which Najee lacks. Najee isn’t bad, but he’s a grinder without game breaking abilities. Together, they are a nice tandem but Warren presents a bigger threat of taking it to the house and should get a better portion of the splits… still keep it as a 1:2 punch.
Dan Moore was slow on the block that first play. Big body Washington was also slow on several play and missed blocks. If they don't get these weaknesses fixed, this O line may get mauled against a strong, fast Charger D. I hope not.
I’m ready for Issac siamalo to be back at LG because Spencer Anderson is not it I’d say the rookie McCormick should get a shot at LG till Issac is back
Can’t blame Warren have yall seen the line he’s been running behind his whole NFL career can’t blame him for not trusting his blockers. Him and Najee ran behind some poor O-lines. I really wish they would just let Jones play at LT Moore is what he is a bottom 10 starting Left Tackle.
i see all these highlights of our olineman doing well inrun blocking and i wonder why we are not gashing teams .. is it the receivers and tightends not doing their job or is the runningbacks hitting the wrong hole?
@@CoachCarter102 i think you arent understanding what i am saying or implying... I established the oline is playing very well.. im stating with them playing this good we should be getting more yardage on run plays that arent called back by penalties but we are not.. which means either the outside guys : wr, tight ends arent blocking to the whistle or the rbs arent hitting the right holes... which ive already watched film on our wr giving half attempts on blocking after posting this comment two days ago...
James Daniels making troy look bad man he can't hold a block for nothing I'm steady asking who is 78# even last yr he s not getting it done not consistent enough at all
Much love and appreciated of video putting out about my son.
So excited to see Troy hold down RT for our Steelers for the next decade. We got lucky. He was destined to be a Steeler!
Shout out to his dad! 🎉❤

It’s kinda hard for jones to play his natural position if Dan Moore is starting at LT and indefinitely better than him.

@@Jesse.George you must’ve not watched Moore these last 2 weeks. He’s played good.
Man, this got me pumped up! He looks like our best offensive tackle and he's just getting started. This is awesome, thank you!!!
While watch Fautanu im also watching Dan moore, nobody talkin about it but hes holding up so far.
We just need to focus on fundamental blocking schemes. Nothing more. Hand techniques and leverage.

He loves loves loves agressive pass sets.. you saw it all over his Washington tape
Nice draft Fautanu, Frazier and McCormick for O-line.
The play at 14:46 if fields throws that ball to Calvin Austin that’s a touchdown
He’s a small fast guy. That LB makes the tackle everyday of the week
FYI - there are 4 syllables in his last name. Fah-oh-tahn-o. Get it right ‘cause this dude is a beast!
Geez, look at Dan Moore on that first play.

I believe Troy's last name is pronounced "Fah-oo-tahn-oo"
I’m pretty sure it’s pronounced Fawn-No-Tron-oo.
I wish they would play Broderick Jones at LT
Let’s go uso💪
I know this is a Fautanu highlight but god dam Freirmuth was WIDE open coming across Fields face.
Wideeeee open
Still can’t believe Fautanu made it to the 20th pick.
Ok when he has a bad series or game don't throw him under the bus like y'all did Brodrick
Explain this
After this film review i have a lot of confidence in the line, and less in Justin he missed so many open guys
Wish my dolphins got him, 1 pick away 🤦♂️
Anybody know how I can watch all 22 film like this ?
i see all these highlights of our olineman doing well inrun blocking and i wonder why we are not gashing teams .. is it the receivers and tightends not doing their job or is the runningbacks hitting the wrong hole?
Penalties
Tighten up all those brutal penalties last week and the Steelers score 24 vs Denver
@@CoachCarter102 Naw i see the penalties but on plays we have none its like our oline will block right but defenders still swarming.
@@EmeryUnderwood-DPSCS well we got 2 rookies playing right now, doing great by the way. The o line just needs to gel a little bit

Against who?? Hasn’t seen a bosa or a Mack…
All i saw was dan moor suck on the first playy
There wasn't a hole made to run through
These tight ends need to stick their damn blocks. Smh

ADDING TROY FAUTANU COACHES GENIUS...WHILE WE ARE ON RT.... TRADE JONES HES A LIABILITY JUST REVIEW THE VIDEOS?
1:34 thats the guards job to get to the lb he was head up on the dt perfect rep
The technique where they attack the pass rushers is something taught by the OL coach, Pat Meyer. @saturdaymorninginspection
