You prolly dont care at all but does anybody know of a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid lost the login password. I love any help you can give me.
Hill Street Blues, , this pedal the Dude ( Ive got theV2..), and You! presenting a mighty Suhr..., one guitarist once said to me that a guitar should no t cost over 3000€, right and the Fender Deluxe Reverb, and the singlesized railtype humbuck..., Health Well and Happiness, You are a very good guitarist
Wow, great note choices and sound, Steve. You have you own thing going on with the 'glisses'. You can hear the time spent there. Cool. I like that you tried to highlight some of the med gain Carlton and Lindley-esque applications of the "The Dude" pedal rather than the typical higher gain Ford zendrive type applications. I also like that you were going into a Deluxe Reverb RI which is a typical amp many of your viewers interested in this type of sound would probably own or at least be highly familiar with. One thing, I would like to have heard your clean sound without the pedal. It sounded like you had the amp's reverb and a short delay happening there and the guitar didn't clean up quite as much as I expected when you turned down the guitar's volume. I wondered if the amp's signal was slightly hot already. Anyway, great review and I can see a local store has one of these Dude pedals waiting for me to give it a test drive. Thanks.
Thanks for the response.I tried the Dude out yesterday at a store. The DEEP knob seems to put you into a different eq profile rather than just adding bass. It doesn't really sound like a zendrive, does it? Has its own sound. Such a small footprint too. Lots of people will dig it, I am sure.
Have had the v1 for several years. I typically use it as a colored boost with the ratio very very low, and with the treble dimed and the deep at noon. It brightens up my little Supro, which can be dark and boxy. I use a strat mostly, and yes, I play Kid Charlemagne on it too. Good, versatile pedal. Oh, and just call it a neck pickup ffs. Nothing sounds more hokey than "front pickup". Is this the 50's? Otherwise, excellent playing.
update; was selling both DUDE V1 and HRM, keeping the Dude: because the HRMs too rocky......,And keeping the DUDE: with Mad Prof Simble its just JAZZ with a single coil neck pup, everything zero but the level at twelve..., used to have Seymour Duncans Pickup booster with res peak...was a bit clumsy for that purpose...
cant believe Suhr makes staggered pups, Im managing My Yamaha pacfica 112Vs without a string tree, luvly pedal, got the same effect with Mad prof Simble and JrockHRM, put the Dude for sale, but its way cool pedal,
update: sold one Simble ( still got two, my alwayson pedal), keeping the DUDE V1, and also in luv with the HRM, both of which prices have sky rocketed...
Hi Steve I just purchased the Dude pedal because of this video. I love how it plays with neck pickups! Very nice pedal. Thanks for the video! Oh what is the Steeley Dan song at the start of the video?
Had both, sold the bb: too compressed. The Dude compresses, but it's just right. I have an original Zendrive sitting in a cupboard as well: too compressed, and not as cool on chords. Great demo here.
I like Rockett pedals I have 3 of them myself - The Blue Note Tour Series, The Archer Ikon and the 45 Caliber but when I went to buy this one it sucked so so bad..., I got the M. Prof Simble instead which is fantastic.
oh I like them both very much, the Simble is more muffier ( which I usually dont like) , like the TC El MojoMojo vs Tube Screamer, but with neck single coils and ss amps I like bass/thickness n jazzy tones getting older...
Love the tone, like the tasteful licks in the intro!!!
By far the best demo I ever heard for this pedal!! I'm sold, want to get one, calling Sweetwater in the morning!!
Guitar Center has it cheaper
man you nailed the larry stuff
Great demo, im sold on this pedal!!
Best Carlton tones I have ever heard.😊 Had to order one ❤
Sounds good. Thanks for demoing with a true clean amp so we can actually hear the pedal.
Most other demos have been with an amp with light break up.
My Dude pedal is quite possibly the best overdrive I've ever bought. Owned it for two months now and love it.
Best demo on this pedal so far. Love it! Nice and smooth sounding.
You prolly dont care at all but does anybody know of a way to get back into an Instagram account..?
I was stupid lost the login password. I love any help you can give me.
@Jairo Markus instablaster :)
You, the Suhr & this pedal sound great ... LUV all the Carlton Quotes ...
I know people that are buying this pedal based on this video...good job. I got the pedal myself and all I can say is WOW.

What a sweet tone. Great playing man.
Nice demo
Nstuff vids are always a treat! Done well with class. :)

Great sounding boost/drive!
Really like your playing. I just ordered this pedal. I hope it's as good as it sounds here.

STEVE!!!..............awesome playing. :-)
Nice playing 😊
nice style dude, certainly hear the LC influence
i knew that was Steve from the first few measures....such a great style (and no glass pick).
3:31-3:36 is an awesome lick!
It is my favorite pedal at the moment.
Love it! Have to get one!😊
Steve really is one of the best players around.
My kind of overdrive. Singing sustain with no hint of fizz or fuzz.
BEST Dumble OD pedal on market sans the Royal OD, but the price difference! :)

Thanks for the nice demo, I think I'm gonna buy one maybe 2?Great tones also

+mateo2006 - Did you employ a RC Booster as is mentioned in the end credits? I am figuring that that was not the case.
+mateo2006 If it was mentioned in the credits, it was probably used, just for a little signal boost.
How does this differ from the Blue Note?
Have had the v1 for several years. I typically use it as a colored boost with the ratio very very low, and with the treble dimed and the deep at noon. LOVE MINE!!!
Would like to use it with my Wampler moxie 😊
is it dumblesque?
Seymour or DiMarzio in the bridge?😊
3:55 Steely Dan?
Yes, Kid Charlemagne
this or the Flex drive?
Would a MXR 102 compressor work well with the Dude pedal?
Yes

I bet this thing sounds phenomenal through a 335.
What is the delay you are using?
+djkoskidk 7:58 for the credits of gear in this video..
Nice Suhr. Is that model called a classic pro ?
Yep, we carry a lot of classic pros in our inventory if you want to check one out!
cant believe Suhr makes staggered pups, Im managing My Yamaha pacfica 112Vs without a string tree, luvly pedal, got the same effect with Mad prof Simble and JrockHRM, put the Dude for sale, but its way cool pedal,

is this ebony fretboard or really dark r/w?
+surfboy7 Indian Rosewood.
What is that amp? It doesn't sound like blackface Fender, but it clearly is.
Hi Steve I just purchased the Dude pedal because of this video. I love how it plays with neck pickups! Very nice pedal. Thanks for the video! Oh what is the Steeley Dan song at the start of the video?
Thanks Gary ! That was Larry Carlton 's solo from Hill Street Blues. I've always loved that since I was a kid.
Cant decide between the bb preamp and the dude.. any suggestions?
GrericPoperic7 try them out for yourself.
Had both, sold the bb: too compressed. The Dude compresses, but it's just right. I have an original Zendrive sitting in a cupboard as well: too compressed, and not as cool on chords. Great demo here.
What bridge pickup is that?
+Clayton Murray Barden S-Deluxe Chunky Pickup
+N Stuff Music That's what I was thinking, thanks
+Clayton Murray No Problem. Thanks for checking out the video!!
Hey one more thing. Is that a hand wired pickup? I've never seen a handwired blade single coil
+Clayton Murray That's a good question. I see nothing on their website that states whether they are or not... Sorry..
I like Rockett pedals I have 3 of them myself - The Blue Note Tour Series, The Archer Ikon and the 45 Caliber but when I went to buy this one it sucked so so bad..., I got the M. Prof Simble instead which is fantastic.
I should’ve pick this over simble overdrive.
oh I like them both very much, the Simble is more muffier ( which I usually dont like) , like the TC El MojoMojo vs Tube Screamer, but with neck single coils and ss amps I like bass/thickness n jazzy tones getting older...
Shut up and take my money!
I was looking for a kid Charlemagne pedal.
Whoops sorry should've watched the whole thing lol
+djkoskidk HaHa! All good. Most of our viewers ask the same question!
