I realize I didn't make something very clear in the video. The momentum spindash and other larger balance changes are OPTIONAL! You can toggle that off and download the code less version to play with just the movement tweaks and vanilla spindash.
Yeah I might be one of the few people to agree with this but I think the spin dash in frontiers is way too overpowered and the instantaneous speed you can get from barely walking is insane. i love the emphasis you’ve put on slopes and momentum 👍🏼

Although I appreciate the level up mechanic I think the way they did it in the base frontiers was more to my liking, now where this mod really shines is in cyberspace in my opinion, it looks incredible to play
Yes, I'll work on it for the other characters. It's not hard, just a matter of copying and pasting. I'm working on bug fixes and rebalancing, but that will come in 1.0.

No, in fact the opposite. Spindashing uphill loses a ton of speed very quickly, but boosting will maintain that speed for much longer. Running without boosting also gains no speed downhill.

Does the Light Speed Dash maintains momentum like the Adventure games? That was one of my biggest problems with the original game's physics.
For some reason only the original drop dash goes up the ice in chaos island, but I hope it could be changed to the spindash

I agree, it’s fun to mess around with and abuse but we need something more subdued so that player can’t just spindash jump across an entire island.

one of reasons why i only use boost and drop dash

I would make the regular non SpinBoost SpinDash that’s more slope dependent not cost any boost , but besides that great mod!🙏🏾
