Glad someone else commented on the out of sync sound. Thought my eyes, brain and hearing weren't synching. Happens when one is 80 years old. 😉 Good video and of course as always you did a through job by checking the second trap. Stay well! 👍🏻

Are you supposed to pour water in the top line to prime it?
I worked on a Payne furnace the other day that is essentially the same model, same issue. Had condensate leaking onto the floor though. I think I drained close to two litres of condensate from the inducer/heat exchanger. It failed badly when I did the combustion analysis on it after getting it up and running. 775PPM CO and climbing and over 1000% excess air after the blower kicked on. Bad heat exchanger! Had to condemn that one unfortunately.

Same issue with my father in laws Carrier, wife said his furnace kept cycling. So I took a look at it and after some diagnosis I found the trap was plugged causing the pressure switch to trigger. Drained over 30 oz of water out of it. Found the trap itself had a growth growing in it that caused the blockage. Cleaned it out and replaced it. Furnace had no issue for the rest of the Winter.
I do IT for living so I'm no HVAC tech LOL just know my around stuff I guess.
You said your company did the installs back when. Was that mess of old duct work/garbage laying on the floor part of the install package deal?

Nice quickie....curious to know if the water is backed up that bunch...can it ruin the secondary heat exchanger....i noticed a lot of orange looking soot after cleaning my trap...curious to know if that would have damaged the unit...granted its 21 years old here in MI....and i am planning on getting a new furnace....also i here that inducer motor fan making same clank noise i had and found that the fan blades actually separated from the motor...had to change it out about 7 years ago....
Do you check CO after you get it running? Was the static on the pressure switch? Plugged secondary is very common on the model.

I know what was up with that soundtrack? Kind of crazy. I don't know if you guys have ever seen Mikey Pipes and Godzilla. This video reminded me of the episode when Mikey and Godzilla were racing to fix another heating cooling and plumbing problem and they had all those Japanese subtitles scrolling across the bottom of the video.
