- From PlayStation Studios and Bluepoint Games comes a remake of the PlayStation classic, Demon’s Souls. Entirely rebuilt from the ground up and masterfully enhanced, this remake introduces the horrors of a fog-laden, dark fantasy land to a whole new generation of gamers. Those who’ve faced its trials and tribulations before, can once again challenge the darkness in stunning visual quality and incredible performance.
In his quest for power, the 12th King of Boletaria, King Allant channelled the ancient Soul Arts, awakening a demon from the dawn of time itself, The Old One.
With the summoning of The Old One, a colorless fog swept across the land, unleashing nightmarish creatures that hungered for human souls. Those whose souls were stripped from them, lost their minds - left only with the desire to attack the sane that remained.
Now, Boletaria is cut off from the outside world, and the knights who dare penetrate the deep fog to free the land from its plight, are never seen again. As a lone warrior who has braved the baneful fog, you must face the hardest of challenges to earn the title “Slayer of Demons” and send The Old One back to its slumber.

@@goncaloferreira6429 the way the plot setup is for the last dlc , I doubt it . Also the fact that I want nioh to sell well , the second sold worse than the first . Needs more exposure before releasing the third.

In a future video can you please show off the diffrent repost and backstab animations for the diffrent weapons. They have been amazing! So far I love the dagger repost and the spear backstab animation.

The club is upgraded with a boss soul into the meat cleaver. As a boss weapon, it has no standard upgrade path.

It looks like they changed the move set. The Mirdan hammer was super OP in original DS. It could stun lock everything and had amazing tracking for pvp.
Just saying, Dragon Claymore is still a fantastic weapon.

If I am correct and remember from playing on the ps3 back when. You have to have three stat requirements to up grade it?? Might be incorrect but I'm pretty sure it's that or non upgradable for some stupidity

@@slayer4592 - I recently played DS:R for the first time and didn't find myself getting fucked by the game, aside from a few rare instances. I just prefer to not watch or learn about a game until I actually get to experience it for myself. I'm not a spoiler nazi, but I don't want to have everything ruined and lose all the surprises that come with the first playthrough experience. I watched Cowboy's amazing Dark Souls walk-throughs, but only after I had already thoroughly cleared those areas.
@@dejuanbarnett - I wish my brain worked similarly, but I download new data like a dry sponge sucks up water. It sucks to have to wait, but I'd rather be able to experience it fully with fresh eyes and ears.
Also, what's funny is that I already have a brand-new sealed copy of Demon's Souls for PS3 that I got several months ago, but as soon as I heard about the remaster, I simply stashed it on the closet shelf with the rest of my PS3 library. May as well get to experience the best version possible, like I did with Dark Souls: Remastered.
Patience is a virtue. I know you gotta be tempted to play it on ps3. Hopefully the rest of us can get our hands on a ps5 soon. I’m apart of a mailing list to get notified as soon as some are in stock but I’m gonna be patient. Good things come to those that wait.
What would one say the best Straight Sword is in the game? I’ve always gone straight swords. My main weapon in DS1 was the silver knight straight sword
lizard spawn is 1 and +1 for every boss you kill in that world. so world 2 will have another one once you kill flamelurker

Iirc you need Flamelurkers Soul and give it to Ed for upgrade to boss weapons

The great clubs max damage output is like 200 lol it's weaker than even a dagger late game per hit. Daggers in this game are pretty OP tho.

No, the bosses don't respawn
Lizard respawn is 1x Bosses Killed plus base 1 i.e. 4 per area

This game makes the other souls game seem weird to me. Im makes me wonder why they got rid of the mantling mechanic. Fall damage also seems like it isn't as bad in some cases.

What does 1-2, 1-4 and so on mean?
Different world stages. After defeating the boss of 1-1 you have access to 1-2 and so on.
I wonder if you can still cheese the bosses like in the original. I mean it ain't Demon's souls if you can't shoot the boss through the fog for 30min lmao

Also that armour he got from pre order bonus is great and it allowed him face tank many enemies including the spider demon... Coupled with the other rewards he got the game had to be easy for him in the beginning stages... But it won't be the same case for us.
This game is similar to Dark Souls 1 in that, the world design lends to the difficulty a lot. If you know what you are doing, it becomes a lot easier.

Demon's Souls is definitely the easiest numbers-wise. I'd say that for a new player it's a bit more brutal than Dark Souls 1 because its levels tend to be a bit longer and it has more ambushes with multiple enemies, but if you're already used to playing Souls-like games, Demon's Souls lacks a lot of challenge compared to other games in the genre. IMO it's because the bosses are generally easier than the bosses in other games; there are a few bosses that are really hard but most of them are gimmick fights. The areas are roughly the same level of hard as the areas in later Souls games, but the apart from 2-3 hard bosses the bosses are way easier.
EDIT: The other elements of the game also combine to make it easier. Dark Souls limits your healing, while Demon's Souls lets you carry as much of it as you want up to your Item Burden limit (in practice this is a lot more healing). Enemies in Dark Souls also tend to have more HP, though in turn weapons in Dark Souls also do more damage. As you can see from Cowboy's playthrough, a weapon that deals 150 damage per hit is close to OP in Demon's Souls, whereas it wouldn't carry you past the early-mid game of Dark Souls or later. Lastly, World Tendency, if you know how to use it, works to make the game numerically easier. Every boss you kill brings you closer to White Tendency (enemies deal less damage and drop less souls), while every death in Body form takes you further away from it and towards Black Tendency (enemies deal more damage and drop more souls). If you kill yourself in the Nexus and only explore in Soul form, it's pretty easy to get each area up to White Tendency, and in Pure White Tendency it's numerically easier than the later games as well. They balance out somewhere in the middle, but if you already know how to play Demon's Souls you can make the game numerically easier without requiring too much work.
